The Chargefeel Low Top Workout Shoe comes in 8 new colors, and is priced at $138USD / $178 CAD.
I’m partial to the lululemon chargefeel low top workout and am drooling over the Magenta Purple pair at the top. I’ve loved my Blissfeel Running shoes so far and am so impressed by lululemon’s shoe game. The quality is fantastic!
I think the Chargefeels would be ideal for workouts like HIIT, boot camp, weight training or boxing in addition to running. It’s rare that a shoe design is dedicated to both workouts and running. Not only are the technically multi-functional, they are really stylish sneakers you can also wear casually.

lululemon women’s shoes in the lead! So many shoe posts coming up!
It’s sure been shoe week over here at The Sweat Edit. I have two shoe reviews up from last week; Cool Retro Sneakers for Work and Travel, and my own review of the restfeel slides. I actually have a couple more shoe posts I’m holding on to so I don’t overwhelm you with options, lol! This lululemon drop was definitely time sensitive and newsworthy though, so that took top priority on the editorial schedule.
If you are wanting to see some fall boot options I’m loving, and some of my favourite Birkenstock styles, stay tuned! I may have those up later in the week, or possibly next week.

Trust me, you need these Rag and Bone Retro Sneakers in multiple colors for Fall 2022
Rag and Bone Retro Sneakers are the coolest sneakers for Fall 2022. They are the perfect travel and work shoe to elevate the most casual outfit. The coolest retro sneaker style will be the one I pack for my trip to Spain this Fall 2022.
The cool new Rag and Bone Retro Sneakers you need for Fall 2022
These are the absolute coolest retro sneaker style shoes for travelling, work, or to elevate your style. If you are shopping for stylish sneakers that you can wear to work, or for travel, these are the ones. And they are on sale right now! Do you feel limited with options of stylish sneakers with good arch support? These fit my Birkenstock orthotics perfectly. The retro running shoe style is huge for 2022 and I have no doubt this is the very best iteration of the trend.
The cool new retro sneakers you are going to need for Fall 2022
Run, don’t walk. These are the coolest retro sneakers I have ever seen. They are almost sold out at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. You’re my frens, so I needed to alert you immediately. Shop them here (CAN) and here (US). And I’ll be back shortly with a full blog post review on these beautiful Rag&Bone Retro Sneakers (Rag&Bone Retro Runner) and some much better mod shot photos. SO good I ordered them in two colors! I have the delicious camel orange color coming as well. I originally showed them to you here in the big NSALE 2022 Try-On post in the color Tobacco Suede.
Before I carry on, do not size up! Get your TTS as they do run slightly long according to reviews.
Shop the Rag and Bone Retro Sneaker while they’re on sale!
I’m so sorry.. I just checked and the US Nordstrom.com is fully sold out 9.5 just restocked! Save them to your wish list though because this year Nordstrom is sending out alerts when wish list items come back in stock. Otherwise, Rag & Bone has this really pretty color on their website, and Nordstrom has these colors on sale (Not part of NSALE) right now and they are actually priced even lower because they are not suede.
Canada still has inventory, but it’s moving fast today!
The coolest retro sneaker style for travel works just as well with my ultra casual joggers. These are my favourite Vuori Joggers and the sneakers really elevate them. These stylish sneakers will pair beautifully with my dressiest jeans and my coolest blazers.
How do the Rag&Bone retro runners fit?
These are my TTS 9 and they are the perfect fit. A lot of reviews on line are saying that they run large. They are slightly larger but this accommodates my inserts really well. My foot isn’t sliding around because they are secured in place with the curved footbed. they are narrow in most of the foot, and then the toe box has a bit of extra width to it which I think contributes to the extra room.
I have pretty narrow feet but my toe area is a little wider than the rest of my foot so these don’t fit ‘big’ on me. They fit a nice, roomy, just right.
I love the retro running shoe style details on these shoes from the shape of the ridged soles that wrap around back, to the rubber stripe design. The aesthetics of these running shoes are the perfect graphic impact for any outfit. The Rag&Bone Retro Runners ore retro done right!
This leather running shoe is very high quality. The outer shoe is full suede, and lined on the inside with supple leather. The insole is foam to provide support and extra cushioning. The quality of the suede is divine. Nice and plush, and soft. The black pair and the tobacco are my favourite colors in Rag&Bone Retro Runners. The blue pair is also very beautiful but I don’t think they where ever available in Canada.
Search no more for stylish sneakers with good arch support.
Finding stylish sneakers with great arch support is a tough task, so I feel like I’ve hit the jackpot.
Usually the styles with the best arch support are not the most elegant, and they don’t have the right ‘cool’ sneaker aesthetic.
I was so pleased with the comfort of theses shoes. They feel really comfortable and supportive while walking around and have a lot of cushion. The insole is a nice cushy foam that comes up the side of the shoe to hold your foot in place. I love my Birkenstocks for this detail too. The curved insole really keeps your heel supported.
I need very firm arch support so I checked to see if i could pull the insoles out to replace them with my blue Birkenstock arch support inserts. While the insoles do not seem to come out, the orthotic fit inside overtop very easily and didn’t make the shoe feel tight. I actually prefer this because it allows me to keep that nice curved insole detail that adds extra comfort.

I love all the sneaker aesthetic details
Besides having the most luxurious suede, this shoe is really elevated by all the design features. The tall pull tab at the back, the wedged heel with spiked treads that wrap up the back heel, the label at the tongue. It’s all perfect. They are really unique and that’s what makes them so cool. They are also nicely slimming on the feet. Don’t ask me why some shoes make your feet look slim, or why that matters, but these do.

New lululemon shoes – the newest restfeel sandals in green, pink and black. Priced at $58 USD and $68 CAD. Keep reading to see why I love lululemon restfeel slide.
Reviewing the newest restfeel shoes from lululemon
Reviewing the Restfeel Slides after wearing them around for over a month
The newest lululemon shoes (the women’s slides) are here! I’m reviewing the new restfeel slides today! Back in late May I ordered both the pink and green lululemon slides. Although I did like them, I preferred the black. Once the black pair dropped on the Canadian side I went ahead and ordered them, and returned the other two.
Read Mary’s review of the Restfeel Slides, worn after her long run. She’s a serious runner, and has a great perspective on recovery sandals.
Sorry for the unpedicured feet on the left. I did blur out the nails a bit so you wouldn’t be too offended.
If you are here for feet… please click the links and make a purchase.

When I first received my lululemon slides in black I was a little sad that the material seemed to have a mark on them that looked like a scuff. I was really worried that was a permanent mark on the upper but after wiping it with a damp cloth, the mark came right off.
I typically wear Birkenstocks which are a very supportive sandal. These are ’recovery shoes’ meant for post run recovery, so the footbed is very soft and cushiony with no arch support. I was a bit worried at first that the shoes would make my feet ache but actually, they are so comfortable. I love wearing them and lately, I’m grabbing them over my beloved Birkenstocks.
These are such a chic look! I love pairing them with different outfits and what I found was that despite the casual simplicity of this shoe, it works well with slightly dressier summer outfits.
How they fit
I take a size 9, and these are tts. If you are at all in-between sizes I would choose the next size up. These are as short for my feet as I would like.
The shape of these shoes is so well proportion. It seems to make my foot seem more narrow which I like.
My favourite lululemon shoe so far
If you can get your hands on a pair I recommend them highly. In fact, I would love a second pair in white to wear with my lighter color summer dresses.
How much are the new lululemon slides?
The new lslides are priced $58 USD and $68 CAD for both men and women’s style lululemon sandals. They are available in a variety of colors.
Here are the colors the restfeel slides came in:

We polled the community: These are the best lululemon leggings for everyday wear + the top 5 best lululemon leggings broken down
We’ve polled the lululemon community to find out the best black leggings for everyday wear. Hint: lululemon align leggings are the fan favourites. Here’s the breakdown of the survey of the top 5 leggings, according to readers polled.
Keep up to date with the weekly lululemon upload here.

The lululemon survey results for top black lululemon leggings for casual wear
The Sweat Edit community is a wealth of information on all things lululemon. What was initially founded as a lululemon fan club evolved into much broader content. But our roots of dedicated lululemon fans remain at the core of this blog. The Sweat Edit polled the community on our Facebook group and this website, and we gathered data from Reddit for answers to the biggest lululemon question. What is the best lululemon legging to wear out and about?
Everyone wants to wear leggings daily, but there is a considerable variety of legging options that make it hard to choose. If you are shopping for simple black leggings, let us help you decide!
The number one favourite legging to wear out and about according to readers polled: The lululemon align pant!

Align leggings are a clear winner according to you guys!
[show_lookbook_widget id=”529084″]
Align High-Rise Tight | 65% of readers asked and Redditors prefer the align pants |
Wunder Train High-Rise Tight | 28% of readers and Redditors prefer the Wunder Train High-Rise Tight |
Invigorate High-Rise Running Tight | 6% of readers and Redditors prefer the Invigorate |
Base Pase High-Rise Tight | .5% of readers and Redditors prefer the Base Pase |
Instill High-Rise Tight | .5% of readers and Redditors prefer the Instill tights |
These are the top 5 best leggings according to fans:
1. The align legging (and the Align legging collection).
it’s not surprising that lululemon align leggings made first place. They are the softest, most luxurious feeling legging. They have very little distracting details and the matte fabric makes them very easy to style with street wear and day-to-day outfits.
[show_shopthepost_widget id=”4804643″]
Always love how comfortable and soft the align items are. I like them for casual use as opposed to my training since they’re rather delicate.
FW
Best Leggings! They are SO comfortable and feel like butter. Best leggings out there!
D
2. In honourable second place for best legging: The Wunder Train High Rise Tight (and the Wunder Train collection)
Wunder Train Tights are a great choice if you want your leggings to pull double duty between casual wear, and durable gym wear. They have the sleek styling of the align pants, and are just as lightweight. Instead of NULU they are made of NULUX
[show_shopthepost_widget id=”4804642″]
3. Base Pase High-Rise Tight
For that edgy sporty look, the Base Pase Tight is the pair you are after. Or, if you are a runner, the Base Pase are the perfect tight to take you from running the trails right to the grocery store by simply throwing on a beautiful oversized knit sweater. You can shop the Base Pase High-Rise Tight here:
[show_shopthepost_widget id=”4804650″]
4. Invigorate High-Rise Tight
Invigorate tights are made of everlux fabric and are your most serious training tight. WIth a bit of compression in all the right places, and great stash pockets on the side, and in the waist. These pants are perfect for the serious fitnessista
[show_shopthepost_widget id=”4804652″]
5. Instill High-Rise Tight
The Instill tight is a newer favourite of mine. The new material, SmoothCover fabric, feels just as soft as NULU. The fabric is also matte, making it very easy to style. The main difference though is that SmoothCover is far more compressive and it holds me in in all the places. They are THE PERFECT everyday tight in my opinion because they offer more smoothing and coverage than Align leggings.

My favourite black legging outfits of 2022

One month after the Nordstrom Canada Anniversary Sale, and my top purchases are this stylish equestrian Smythe Blazer, and my favourite stylish walking shoes for travel: The Rag and Bone Retro Sneaker which I’ve since reviewed twice. See the shoes here, and Rag and Bone Retro Running Shoes here.
The Nordstrom Canada Anniversary Sale (2022 edition) is here! We are a few hours away from the sale opening up to the public. I did a ton of try-on today at the Canadian Nordstrom Anniversary Sale including my favourite Smythe Blazer.
You can see how things fit before ordering online when the sale is open. . The Smythe Blazer was the first item I ran for since my order was cancelled online.
The Nordstrom Canada Sale definitely has some great picks this year! I was surprised
ONWARD!
Read this post for more on NSALE shoes
Best of the Nordstrom Canada Sale: My #1 Favourite - The Smythe Blazer
For the Stylish Equestrian look.
(Shop the stylish equestrian blazer here)

Blazer
My #1 blazer pick from the Nordstrom Canada Anniversary sale. I ordered this ‘Stylish Equestrian’ Smythe blazer when the Early Access Sale went live at midnight online. So, consequently, that order was cancelled. But I found it in store this morning even though online showed they didn’t have any more 14s.
I adore a fun Smythe Blazer, and I think this year the selection is the best of all – It’s stylish equestrian! The pieces are from their most classic cuts, in fun patterns and colours. The Stylish Equestrian blazer is part of Smythes core styles and has been available from the beginning. The original style comes with leather elbow patches but I prefer my equestrian styled blazer sans elbow patches.
This one, in particular, is exceptional because it’s their 100% wool fabric.
Fit Notes:
I size up in Smythe Blazers one to two sizes, depending on the model. This one is one size up – so a 14. This is the perfect fit.
For the other Smythe blazer (cobalt plaid) also sort of ‘stylish equestrian’, but a little rock and roll’, I know I would need two sizes up in that particular ‘Puff Sleeve’ style. It’s very tailored and slim fit.
Smythe Blazer Stylish Equestrian tricky European Tailored sizing
The fit issue with staying TTS in these is mostly the tension created in the buttons. Especially if you are more prominent in the bust. My TTS looks fine while it’s left open and perfectly comfortable. The issue is in buttoning it. I never wear them buttoned up anyways, but I like to have the option.
The other Smythe Blazer options
There are still a few sizes left, so act fast if you have your sights on these!
I forgot to mention this. I also ordered the blue plaid Smythe blazer since I didn’t know which I wanted. When it arrives, I will include it in this post. Or maybe the two will get their own posts. The Smythe jackets are fantastic this year, so it will be a hard choice between the two – puff sleeve Smythe blazer vs stylish equestrian Smythe blazer – but I think this one may win because it is wool.

Are we surprised to see me in a sweatshirt dress? I’m a little astonished despite living in sweatpants for the past two years. But unfortunately, I paid this dress zero attention on the website.
Did I buy it? No. Derp!
I didn’t bring this home because I talked myself out of the function of a warm sweatshirt dress. I’m kicking myself, though, because it’s warm but not too warm and also very lightweight. Isn’t this the evolution of the sweatpant life, though? Maybe I need it.
This is an item I may break down and pick up if it’s still available.
Fit Notes:
This is my TTS L, and it’s a very, very roomy TTS. I would probably like to try on a medium if I can go back. I love this oversized fit, though. You get a bit of that off-the-shoulder look with the neckline unzipped. Sizing is very accommodating, and I can easily see a small size fitting just fine.
I love the length on this and the high-low hemline. It’s sort of a ‘basic’ look, but there are some very nicely considered design details.
The Real Best Wool Coat from the Nordstrom Canada Anniversary Sale

A clear winner for me in the wool coat category we talked about in yesterday’s blog post. I’m not shopping for wool coats this year, but if I was, I liked this one the best. Far superior to the Reiss wool coat. This one is 100% wool + leather.
The material
The wool on this is not that silky soft; it’s nubbly and a little rough. I like this texture, though. The inside is very nicely lined, so the jacket just feels silky.
Fit Notes:
This is an XL. I typically wear an XL in wool coats to accommodate my pear shape. Long coats tend to stick to the hip area for me. This coat is incredibly comfortable. Not roomy, but definitely a relaxed fit.
The Free People Sweaters from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale are so great this year
Sweaters aren’t something I wear often so this didn’t make it into my shopping bag but I liked it. Free People sweaters are usually hits with me though. I think of this more as a beachy knitwear vs. a Fall or winter sweater.
Fit Notes:
A roomy fit for sure, as FP sweaters usually are. I took a size M in this and as you can see, it’s still got that roomy oversized look. I didn’t want to try a size down from this.
A Nordstrom Canada Sale Best Seller (but not my favourite)
OK, this jacket photographs really well which is why it’s an influencer favourite in this sale. It’s just got the right proportions, and the weight of the stiffer fabric makes it drape a certain way. It’s a good photos jacket. The price is outrageous though for the quality.
The quality just doesn’t justify the price
It’s a blended wool coat, with low wool, and the material doesn’t feel high quality. If you have the coin to spare and you are in search of a wool coat, give the Club Monaco a try. If you have your heart set on this one don’t let me discourage you. I think it looks really great on. I just really object to the price point vs. the value.
Fit Notes:
Normally I’d pick an XL or an L in this type of jacket (size 12/14) but their where very few sizes left and only an 8 and a 10. This is a size 10 and it’s just right. I can tie it closed and it goes across my hips just fine. I can layer this over a sweater.
Forgot to mention this. This coat is unlined.
Top selling shoe from the Nordstrom Canada Sale - And these are my favourite!

Rag&Bone Retro Sneakers didn’t WOW me online. I thought they were cute on different influencers and did like them but didn’t have them on my wish list. My bias was for the ubiquitous white sneakers.
IN person, though, they are way cute. This tobacco suede color is stunning and unusual for a sneaker. They look lux, and it’s obvious they are suede. I like the graphic look of the black, but these are the ones I would buy.
Feeling tempted
I loved them on my feet and found them super flattering. These are tempting me. I keep checking them out online to see if my size is selling out. Unfortunately, the sticker price is holding me back a bit.
Fit Notes:
These are size 9. I mostly take size 9’s but occasionally need a size 9.5 in some shoes, and sometimes even a size 10—these were the right fit.
Nordstrom Canada Sale Story Time
My experience in the shoe department was very annoying today. The SA that helped me ‘accidentally’ brought me similar versions of the NSALE items (same brand) that were still fully priced – for 3 PAIRS OF SHOES! Accident, right? The NSALE is super hectic for SA’s, so I wasn’t mad or bothered.
I only caught on after checking out with a pair of boots and walking away, wondering why they were much more expensive than I thought. I checked the receipt and display and was charged the wrong price. When I went to talk to him again, he ‘realized’ they were a different model. Only after trying to convince me that the reason the price was higher than the other ones was that these are black, and the other pair on display was green.
The mixup
When we went to look at the display models, the black had the price sticker off. These are the non-sale boots; these are the NSALE boots. So we had to go and check his computer for the price of the black pair, and I had to find them on my iPhone for him. That’s when he determined he pulled the wrong shoes. I returned them and had to leave to meet my sister, so I opted to return later to get the right pair.
I then realized that the ‘wrong shade’ he pulled for me in the other shoes was displayed in a different section. Also, all curiously regular price. For example, this is the pair I wanted in the sneakers, and he brought me this full-priced one instead. The wrong colours he pulled in the other shoes weren’t even part of the NSALE. OK, I’m cool. Still not mad. Mildly annoyed.
I would chalk this all up to an accident, except he ALSO went hard sell on me, telling me that there was only one size each for the shoes I was trying, so if I wanted them, I had to get them right then. No holds. Not even for 10 minutes while I met my sister. Mmmmm kay.
What it gets weirder
I returned a few hours later to try the pair of shoes I had planned on getting. The new SA let me know he had nine in stock in my size, but they will sell out quickly once the early access is over. SO, I didn’t get the shoes.
Ultimately, I’m not mad at the inconvenience of having to make the return (and having the hold/processing time on my credit card). I’m not angry about getting the wrong shoes. It left me feeling skeeved out, and I didn’t like the interaction. It was so dishonest.
Have you ever had something like this happen to you?

Leather Jackets (faux, depending on persuasion) are a closet essential. But, if you don’t have one and have been considering getting one, the Balfern is the one you should consider. AllSaints, Mackage, and Soia & Kyo are the mid-market brands I’ve tried over the years, and out of all of them, the Balfern is the softest supplest leather. I have this jacket in pale blue from 3 years ago, and I love it.
Size Notes:
The jacket in the photos is the wrong size for me. It’s a size 8, and my Balfern Leather Jacket is a size 10. I didn’t try, but I’m pretty sure if I zipped this up, it wouldn’t look pretty. I never zip up a leather jacket, but I think you should be able to zip it up and move around. When I first got my jacket, the size 10 was snug but zipped. The leather is so supple that it molds to your shape, but I find it mainly in the shoulders. So if you are prominent in the bust, you won’t get as much stretching out in that area as you would in your shoulders, where there is constant movement.
The jacket is TTS, but it should fit ever so slightly snug at first.
Note on these AG Jeans
My AG Jeans in this picture are everything I hoped they were last year. I am so glad I snagged a pair. These are roomy TTS. Lots of people size down in this style because they do relax. I stuck to TTS, though. I’m extra chonky these days, and I want loose jeans.

A heart with a caveat. I love this top and everything, but the price point is ridiculous. The price point of Frame tops always shocks me, especially for a synthetic fabric.
This reminds me of Ulla Johnson
This top is a very stretchy and thin polyester. It’s lightweight and has a very silky feeling. If you’ve ever seen Ulla Johnson’s dresses (luxury brand), this is the same material as some of her most famous dresses. It’s polyester but nice! Still, it’s not silk, so $332.99 is ridiculous. I can buy an actual Ulla Johnson dress on eBay for that price. Blouses and tops aren’t a category I like too much on. I prefer to buy this type of item either on resale or on clearance.
Fit Notes:
Size L, TTS. No surprises. It’s on the shorter side, but it’s not cropped.

I’ve never tried the brand Save The Ducks before. I’m impressed. I typically favor down-filled puffer jackets over synthetic, but this one feels like a down. I love that the material is matte and not glossy. I would consider getting this if I needed a new puffer jacket.
Fit notes:
The jacket I’m wearing is an XL. This jacket fits on the snugger side, although it is slightly a-line, so it’s not disproportionately tight around curves. The chest and shoulders are excellent, and I think this would have been fine over a bulkier knit. I would have tried it over the Free People sweater, but I was sweating at this point.
This one is more stylish CEO than Stylish Equestrian
Although with black OTK boots, this does kinda swing Stylish Equestrian come to think of it.

Veronica Beard is a top favorite for me in the blazer department. I liked the look of this blazer online and wanted to try it, but it was competing with two other blazers I was very excited over (the two Smythe blazer options). It’s a more subdued style. I love the color, and I love the gold buttons. It’s deceptively plain online because, in person, this is such a beautiful blazer. I foresee myself chasing this one down on the resale market. The color got a bit washed out in the picture; in person, it’s a beautiful rich burgundy. Between the Smythe blazer and this one, I preferred the Smythe blazer, but this one is a close second.
Fit Notes:
The blazer I’m wearing is a 12, and I think I usually take a 12 in VB. It was a little snugger than usual in the shoulders, but I’m a bit heavier. I also think this jacket is thicker and more structured than the other VB jackets I’ve tried on. I usually find VB a boxier fit, especially compared to Smythe. This one feels more crisp and structured. The blazer is a lined jacket with an inner fabric layer to provide structure, like traditional suiting.
Bearfoot Dreams is the quintessential #NSALE purchase. It’s a Nordstrom Anniversary Sale best seller! I first tried on my usual circle cardigan, and I liked it, but it’s something I can pass on now. Then I tried this new cardigan style, and I like it much more. It’s a thinner, lighter-weight material and way stretchier. I thought the BF dreams circle cardigan couldn’t be any better, but this one is on my wish list.
Fit Notes:
The darker color is my TTS L. I need an XL in that style now to accommodate washer/dryer shrinking. The new cardigan in the upper pictures is a size M. It’s a much looser fit. If I order it online, I will probably order an L in the darker color, but the M felt good. I’m not sure how helpful that is, but I just er on the side of looser these days.
And More stylish walking shoes for travel from the Nordstrom Canada Anniversary Sale
Nothing beats a low heel boot. It’s the perfect stylish walking shoes for travel. Especially a versatile one like this that you can pair with skirts or jeans.

How beautiful are these moto-inspired boots? I loved the cognac color especially.
I was wearing the worst style of pants possible to try these boots. Envision them with skinny jeans tucked into the boot. Alternatively. You could wear boyfriend jeans with hems cuffed and a few inches of leg visible.
Fit Notes:
Thanks to the elastic back Stuart Weitzman uses in many of their boot styles, easy on and off. They are a generous TTS. TTS gives room for thicker socks and insoles.
These are a taller heeled stylish walking shoes for travel. They aren’t the heel height I would personally wear but if you are used to heels, these are perfect walkable heels.
Blondo boots are by far the best-valued shoes of the NSALE, and even at a total price, they are fantastic value. They are high-quality leather shoes meant as ‘all weather.’ These shoes are durable and comfortable.
Every shoe they have in the sale is around $100-$150.
I have a couple of pairs of Blondo shoes I’ve purchased in previous NSALES, and they are going strong. They are the shoes I wear when I want a dressy shoe that I can wear in slush, rain, or snow.
These are ‘walkable’ heels, which are also hard to find. If you buy these, I love this brown color. You can see the design details better in this color, and the gold-colored hardware pops.
Fit Notes:
TTS 9. Has room for socks.
These are the best Fall/Winter stylish walking shoes for travel since they are indestructible in slush and snow. The low heel and easy on-off make them my number one boot for travel.

The Bait-and-Switch fiasco shoes. La Canadienne is a fashion-forward winter boots brand. They endure Canadian winters.
I’ve wanted a pull Chelsea-style boot, and these fit the bill for me. I wanted to try them on to see if they gave me the bunched-up cankle look, but they are nice and sleek in the ankle area. Nice and slim, even when walking.
Also, I will most likely order these, but now I’m waiting for the original NSALE boots I ordered from the US sale to come in so I can compare. They’ve arrived; I have to pick them up from my P.o. box. Those were more expensive, so I think I’ll prefer this pair.
Fit Notes:
A roomy TTS 9. Feet don’t slide around but there is room for my toes to spread.
So tell me, are you guys into the Stylish Equestrian theme from the NSALE this year? Did you order the Stylish Equestrian blazer?
I hope you all got a chance to at least try on my favourite Stylsh sneakers. They will be featured a ton on the blog this year. I ended up ordering them in the caramel color and black and they are the first items I tore the tags off right away.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Natori Feathers Bra is one of the top sellers. Canada got several colors in the Natori Bra
I have a Natori Feathers Bra and I have some feelings about it. This bra is soft, and stretchy so it’s ‘comfortable’. But not really. It’s the bra I was wearing when I was in between bra sizes, before getting resized recently. It’s the same size as my old bras, but the stretch made it feel ‘comfortable’ and like it could stretch two sizes in the band. This bra has zero actual support though, and it gave me the worst silhouette.
Bra Fit content coming soon!
I have a series of bra fitting posts coming up real soon so stay tuned for that. Especially if you are larger busted and struggle to find good bras, or you haven’t had a proper bra fit done by a professional yet. There is so much to cover that it’s going to need several posts.
I have an unpopular opinion to confess. Although the Reiss Elise Wool Blend Coat is a beautiful coat, it’s a wool-blend. It’s a high polyester blend with only 54% wool. I don’t know but I think this coat will pill quickly. There are so many amazing Wool Coats in this sale in various price pints that are high wool blends, or 100% wool. You can read here what to look for in a quality wool coat.
shop here
Here are some other 100% Wool Coat options that I think are a better buy (From the Canadian NSALE):
This beautiful wool coat from Club Monaco is a fantastic price point at $299, and a great buy. It’s 100% Wool and has leather trim.
This stunning wrap coat is by Nordstrom Signature. It’s actually a Wool blended with Cashmere which is even more luxurious. It’s a splurge, priced at $449, but it’s only slightly higher than the Reiss coat which is priced at $414.
The Very Best Value in Wool Coats from the Canada NSALE
This Halogen Wool-Blend Coat is the exact same Wool-Polyester composition as the Reiss Coat. It’s priced at $162.90. It’s a great price! Especially considering it’s in CAD.
The US had a much greater assortment of wool coats in varying price points from $150 all the way up to $2000. I don’t think you can find a better price for a wool coat anywhere compared to this one.
Wanting to invested in a high end wool coat?
If you are looking to ‘INVEST’ in a special high end Wool Coat. My recommendation is the Club Monaco or this Eileen Fisher Wool and Cashmere Coat.
Canada did not get the stunning Max Mara Wool Coats, nor the Fleurette Coats. I don’t understand why. These are brands that are regularly carried by Nordstrom Canada
I’m Annoyed Canada Didn’t Get These Items:
All Saints Shoes + Paul Green Shoes
These Dresses I’ve been eying by: Baum und Pferdgarten & ByTimo
These items by Great Jones
US got Barefoot Dreams socks in two lengths. Canada…. zero length
Why didn’t Canada get these? These are the high end luxury coats that the US saw last week. The Max Mara Coats sold out immediately despite the very steep price point.
Happy Nordstrom Canada Anniversary Sale Shopping!! See you guys tomorrow. Onward!
What’s (S)UP! The Health & Fitness Benefits of Stand-Up Paddleboarding + Essentials to Bring On the Water
Do you want a chill and fun workout that will immerse you in nature? Try stand-up paddleboarding (SUP)! It’s a great way to get outside and enjoy nature while also getting in a full-body workout that you can pace on your own.
Here are some other very good reasons why you should get on a SUP and start paddling this summer!

Six Key Benefits of Stand-Up Paddleboarding
Anyone can paddleboard!
If you’re a beginner to working out or water sports, SUP can be the perfect entry level sport! There’s no pressure like in the gym when you’re surrounded by people and there’s no reps, just steady paddling. It’s suitable for any level since you can start out kneeling/sitting on the board and stand up whenever you feel comfortable. You get to choose your pace and stop whenever you’d like!
It’s a low-impact sport that helps take stress off your joints.
SUP is a great alternative sport for athletes who engage in high-impact sports. (i.e., running or weight lifting). The core strength you gain from paddleboarding is invaluable for other sports, and it can be an excellent recovery option for athletes who want to improve their general fitness and cardiovascular + upper body endurance over time!
It’s a fun way to get in shape and a full body workout.
This was one of my main motivators for paddleboarding. You’re working your core, arms and legs to stay balanced on the board, and time flies when you’re paddling outside. If you despise spending hours at the gym under fluorescent lighting or find repetitive workouts tedious, then try paddleboarding. You’ll always be a little sore afterward, but that’s a good thing; fff means you’re improving your stamina and strength in your muscles every paddle. You’ll continue to find your strength and endurance growing the more you paddleboard!
You can improve your balance and posture in your daily life, too!
The first time I went out on a paddleboard, I didn’t even stand up because I was trying so hard to stay balanced. That’s part of the journey! Those same muscles keeping you upright and stable on the board are responsible for maintaining your good posture and balance. There are few recreational activities as beneficial as paddleboarding for building muscles critical for balance and joint support.
My favourite paddleboard benefit…
Use SUP for unwinding and stress relief.
The best part of paddleboarding for me is being completely immersed in the sport. You can’t check your phone, so while paddling, you get the opportunity to unplug and unwind. The natural pressures you’re feeling on the daily can melt away on the water. If you’re currently feeling overwhelmed or need a mood lift, get out there and paddle.
You can connect with different parts of nature while stand-up paddleboarding.
You could hike to connect with nature, but there’s something special about being out on the water. More than half the Earth is covered in water and 80% of our oceans still remain unexplored. By being out on the water, you’ll feel like you’re a part of that exploration and the things around you. It’s a great way to see nature in a way that you haven’t witnessed before.
Bonus Benefit: You can go paddling with friends and family while still staying six feet apart.
Back at the start of the pandemic, I went paddleboarding with many of my friends and colleagues because you can get a good workout in, be outdoors, AND stay six feet away. During that time when we all felt isolated, it was nice to have an hour or two on the water to soak up each others’ company outside of Zoom or FaceTime.

My Paddleboarding Must-Haves
A solid inflatable standup paddle-board for beginners that’s easy to use and balance on!
I recommend the Body Glove Cruiser Inflatable Paddle Board because it’s affordable, sturdy, and packs down easily! I’ve had mine for 3 years now. Note that non-inflatable SUPs are actually pretty huge, bigger than surfboards. They stand at around 10-11ft tall, while inflatable paddleboards are the size of a small suitcase when deflated. There are many advantages and disadvantages to both but I would recommend an inflatable one for sure for just starting out.
A Personal Flotation Device (PFD) to make sure you’re safe out on the water.
This one is good for petite swimmers, you always want to make sure you have this especially if you’re going out on the water alone! You could also use a waist belt PFD if you’d like something more low profile and less movement-restricting while paddling.
Gear to make your life easier
A life-changing SUP Air Pump that will make inflating and deflating your paddle-board a dream.
This is THE investment that will make your stand-up paddleboarding days so much easier. My PSI (pound per square inch aka air pressure in your SUP) for inflatable SUPs ranges from 10 – 20 PSI. The higher the PSI number, the harder the board is going to be. Making sure your SUP is inflated to the proper air pressure is important for good performance and balance! Usually, your workout doesn’t start on the water, it starts when you’re manually inflating your board to a suitable PSI.
I used to take around 10 minutes pumping air until i got lightheaded!
I used to take around 10 continuous minutes pumping air into my board and felt lightheaded from the exercise by the time I got out on the water! You’ll save 30+ minutes between inflating and deflating manually with this pump. It automatically shuts off when your board is pumped up to the pre-set PSI and when you use the deflation setting, your board basically returns to its factory-flatness. You know when you’re trying to stuff something back into a bag after you’ve taken it out and it just seems like it’s grown bigger magically behind your back? And it’s almost impossible to shove back in?! This gets rid of that problem – and that alone makes it worth the investment!
Clothing you need for paddleboarding
A Paddleboarding Suit that makes you look cute and feel supported
This Zip-Back Paddle Suit comes in a long sleeve and short sleeve version & they’re both so practical and cute for paddling. For paddleboarding, you’ll want a swimsuit that has good support and coverage for sunny days! Speaking of sunny days…
A lightweight UPF 40+ Rashguard should keep you from any chances of sunburn
The worst, absolute worst sunburns I get are from being out on the water. I almost always forget to reapply at the right times because I’m having too much fun out there. This UPF 40+ rashguard provides great UV protection and covers all the places that get burned easily! (aka shoulders and arms!)
Don’t forget to accessorize!
A pair of cute Sandals for lounging and foot support while walking from the beach to the water
I typically wear a pair of Tevas Hurricane XLT2s when I stand up paddle-board. They won’t come off and they’ll protect your feet from rocky stones and sharp objects in and around the water!
A wide-brimmed Sun-Shielding Hat to keep the sun out of your eyes while you paddle
I just bought this Lululemon Wide Brim Hat recently and I’ve taken it out a few times – I love it! It ticks all the boxes: it’s wide and covers your neck, is UPF 40+ rated and cinches around the head so that you know it’ll stay with you on the windiest of days!
Stay waterproofed and hydrated!
A waterproof Dry Bag for stashing your phone, keys and snacks on the water
I’ve gifted this Earth Pak to several friends already – I love that it has a zippered pocket in the front so you can easily access your phone if you’d like to snap any photos! It’s made of a very thick, waterproof PVC Fabric and is leak-proof for peace of mind while you’re paddling away. A Water Bottle so you stay hydrated while you workout
Nalgene is my favorite tried and true bottle brand, their bottles are affordable and sturdy! I usually grab a carabiner and strap my water bottle to the front of my board.
Sun Protection is a must!
An SPF 70+ sunscreen and SPF 30 lip balm to protect your precious skin and keep you sunburn-free!
Get lip sunscreen this summer, you’ll be amazed you didn’t get it sooner. My favorite is the Eucerin Aquaphor Lip Balm (SPF 30). It’s moisturizing and light and doesn’t leave the dreaded white film on your lips upon application. I use the OG Neutrogena Sport Face SPF 70+ sunscreen – for all my sweaty gals – this stuff stays ON and out of your eyes. I would recommend reapplying every three hours you’re out there to be on the safe side!
Get ready to enjoy the sunshine and water out there!

The Product Drop: lululemon shorts, lululemon restfeel slides, lululemon leggings
New this week: lululemon women's shorts: new restfeel slide color and more
New, lululemon biker shorts, lululemon align shorts, restfeel slides and leggings this week!MThe lululemon product drop is here! Some great new goodies. My favourite from the drop is the Loungeful High-Rise Shorts. I ordered the loungeful shorts (with the graphic lululemon logo) a few weeks ago. I wanted a solid black pair but they where sold out, so I just went with the logo pair. They are so comfortable and look really great on! They look a lot less casual on than I expected.
If lululemon align shorts or restfeel slides didn't tempt you from the lululemon upload, check out these sales!
Like most of you I’m also browsing the Amazon Prime Sale. I have my eye on Theraguns. I’m not sure what type I would like – either the ball shape or the traditional. I just want something basic and easy to use on myself. Perfect for those long days blogging the Nordstrom Sale, siting at my desk for 12 hours formulating blog posts. There are some lululemon short dupes as well, although I can’t recommend any dupes strongly.
I’m also looking for this ice cream maker 😈 although that’s probably because Im currently dieting. Some new pieces for my at home gym may making into the shopping cart.
Also in big sale news: Have you bene following my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale content? Please say yes because I’ve been putting in serious hours on it this year. Mostly to make up for the fact I didn’t participate during last years NSALE.
If you are in Canada, the Canadian Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts this week, June 14/15. Stay tuned here because I’m covering the sale extensively. I will be doing a huge in-store try-on Thursday morning so you will get a big fitting room #selfies post.
I also pick up my US NSALE purchases later this week. If you haven’t seen your favourite Anniversary Sale items covered, let me know. I take requests for try-ons/reviews if the store I go to has those items in my size. I will definitely be trying on all the Smythe blazers and the Veronica Beard items, including these wide legged jeans I’ve been lusting after. Here is a link too my NSALE articles all in one spot.
