Guys! I did not anticipate taking since Tuesday off from blogging. I’m so sorry! This is a fun distraction during the holidays, isn’t it? The week totally got away from me. Are you guys feeling overwhelmed with the holidays this year? I think it’s a combo of school for the kids being let out late this year (22nd for us!), my husband being extremely busy with work (having to do his Christmas shopping for him mostly), still sort of unpacking and settling into our new house, silly drama stuff,  and having  13 kids, and 10 adults/couples to shop for. A woman at my gym told me on Tuesday that she has this vague feeling of being perturbed over the holidays and that is exactly how I’m feeling. Like a nervous dog pacing around in circles ready to snap at anybody taking my parking spot, or being excessively demanding, or being unkind and inconsiderate. I get Lululemon’s #breathitallin campaign this year. I fully intend to one day take up meditation. For now, I’m getting through the chaos by rewarding myself for getting tasks done.  shop + wrap + tidy + etc = an eggnog latte.

Anyhoo!! I’m back! I have my desk set up and ready for a week of blogging now that the shopping is done.
Look at this new print on the Australian upload! A friend sent me a screenshot of the print and I didn’t like it, but now that I see it online I actually do really like the color combo. I just wish this came in a nulux or luxtreme long sleeve. I’d love this print in a sleek running long sleeve.

I forgot to mention that I was able to quickly stop in at the Robson St. Lululemon yesterday between shopping and dinner, and they had these ombre wunder under tights in. I want the vintage pink version but I was sorely tempted by these ones. I was surprised and pleased to see that the material is actually a knit at the bottom, so the speckles of blue are woven in, not printed on. I’ve read early reports that the material shows a bit of color through which you can vaguely see on this web photo on the upper thighs. I read that the pink version has worse show through since the weft knit color is lighter. I was in a huge rush so wasn’t able to try them on, and I didn’t purchase them to try on at home so I couldn’t get photos. I also promised a review of City Trek Trousers which I wore all day today, so that will hopefully go up tomorrow.

I just spotted these BEAUTIFUL Rose Gold Ombre leggings on Bandier and I’m obsessed! They are just so stunning! Bandier seems to have dwindling stock on sizes but I just saw that Revolve also carries them in a full-size run, Saks 5th Avenue has size M left and Shopbop has size L. I’m not sure I’ve tried Beyond Yoga Leggings yet so I’m going to check my files. Basically, I’m bookmarking this in the form of a post at 11:40 pm so I can look into these tomorrow morning. This combines two trends I’ve been loving. Splatter prints, and metallic. PS. They also have these crushed velvet leggings. I love the velvet trend too! Have any of you tried these leggings yet? I’d love to know what you think?

The UK Upload Sneak Peek is up! Most of these items will upload tonight. I’ve decided I will probably return the Luminosity Train Times 7/8 Tights in favor of the upcoming ombre speckled vintage rose tights.

The Luminosity Foil Print Black Silver Train Times 7/8 Tights are in store today! Expect to see other Luminosity Foil Print Black Silver items to upload tonight (Wunder Under Crops, Train Times Crops, Shorts etc.). I was surprised by these in store today because they are much more muted and subtle than the web photos would lead you to believe, in fact, in my photos here they look like a matte grey. On the website, they are extremely metallic but in person, they are very subtle and have to hit the light a certain way so that it looks metallic and not embossed grey. I wonder if the Nike Metallic Crops (shown below) are true to web photos. They are significantly cheaper so I think I’m going to finally order them as well and see which ones I prefer on.

These are TTS and comfortable but I don’t find them super flattering on my body type. I’m keeping them for now but I also want to try on the regular high rise WU’s. I think the flecks of color are highlighting ‘texture’ and are not streamlined enough on me. On the other hand, I’m really loving my City Trek Trousers.

I don’t know why I did a Holiday Gift Guide For A Sleep Deprived New Mom other than all the items that were drawing my attention where sleep-themed, and then I thought about how perfect they would be for a brand new mom. Not that sleep deprivation at that stage has a solution, but the cozy comforts and self-care items are essential I think. Warning though, if someone had given me a book titled ‘why we sleep’ at the newborn stage I probably would have thrown it at them and collapsed into a puddle of tears. For the regular old insomniac in your life, or night owl like me that likes to stay up late watching Netflix the book is perfect. By the way, I’m so freckin excited that The Queen season 2 starts tomorrow!!!

On my own personal wish list are the Santa pyjamas, and the Haflinger slippers. The slippers are on my list after seeing them at Nordstrom a few weeks ago. I love that they are felted wool and not like Ugg Slippers fur where the fur gets all matted and flat and sweaty if you don’t wear socks with them. I think these (although not soft to the touch) will be super cozy and luxurious on my bare feet. I hate that I have to wear socks with my ugg slippers to keep them semi-nice, but when I do wear socks with them I love my ugg slippers. I also almost hate to admit it but over the past few months, I’ve developed an obsession with Diptyque. Baise, Figuier and Tubereuse are my favorites!

I picked up the Forever Warm Pullover last week (thanks to Mrs. O’s fit review!) and I really love it. I expected to like it but wasn’t sure I’d find it flattering on me. The fit is just perfect – a relaxed TTS. It’s nice and long without being snug at the hips (unusual for me these days since I’m fluffier). I love that the quilted pattern is smaller in the lower part and with larger quilting at the top – this gives it visual interest and makes it pretty slimming on my body type. I really love this jersey knit cotton that they use as well. Although it’s heavy, it has a really nice drape and feels really soft and breathable so even though it’s warm, I don’t feel like I’d overheat in it.

Thanks to Ms. O for her review of the Sit In Lotus Wrap II and the Forever Warm Pullover! I have a bunch more fit reviews from Mrs. O but wanted to post this one tonight since there has been quite a bit of discussion in the comments about these ones. I actually purchased the Sit In Lotus Wrap II last upload it and really love it. I ordered both the Starlight and black and returned the starlight because I will wear the black a ton, and the grey may have slightly less use. Although I do want them both. I also have been eying up the Forever Warm Pullover but I’m going to have to wait a bit on that one.
