Wanna go Window Shopping at Athleta with me today? Oh my! I’ve heard whispers the past few weeks that Athleta has really been knocking it out of the park with their designs lately and I finally went and took a little look. I usually avoid browsing Athleta for long periods of time because it is so restrictive to shop online as a Canadian. The designs have to be stellar for me to overcome the burdensome Canadian duties. Well, these swirly rainbow reflective run tights are absolutely worth it! So many other pieces caught my eye as well. I am forever in love with my Alo Foxy Sherpa (almost sold out!) so I will not stray, but Athleta has some equally awesome sherpa designs in their ‘Sherpa Shop‘. The Athleta Sherpa prices are pretty great, too!

Officially making it on to my Christmas Wish List is the Reflective Tights, the Velvet Vest, the Ritual Jacket and the Motto Tights. Ok maybe the Ski Jacket too!

I love the retro ski jacket look here. This shape is like the blazer of winter coats. I saw a woman at school drop off the other day wearing a jacket this shape, and it was color blocked with a jewel tone orange at the front and back, contrasted with white, and it had gold hardware on the belt. It was a stunner! She looked so amazing and elegant in such a casual outfit.

The Lululemon Upload is live!

I ran out and purchased the Velvet Define Jacket yesterday as soon as I caught wind that the Robson store had them. Here is the fit review if you are curious. I got both the black and moss rose and I’m deciding between the two. I also am loving the On The Fly Jogger Velvet, but those will wait. I’m so happy when the holiday extended return period comes around because it really gives me time to think on my purchases.

The Plush Scuba Hoodie in Night Diver is tempting me. I love the plush scubas I got last year and I’m not even a scuba fan. They are so cozy and stretchy. The weather is mild enough in Vancouver that I’ve been getting away with just wearing hoodies as my jacket. Since I’ve been living in my cozy and warm Alo Foxy Sherpa, I’m going to hold off on this plush scuba for now. I forgot that I am also eying up the As Promised Sweater. It’s really beautiful. I need to check that out in store.

I ordered the pink Roksanda x Lululemon Inner Expanse Tank. I’ve had my eye on that from the foreign website and wondered when we would get it. I still am in love with this capsule. I wasn’t sure what size to get so I sized up in the Inner Expanse Tank. I hate a tank being too fitted around my middle so I think sizing up was the right call. I can’t wait for the Roksanda 1/2 Zips to come out in the other colors, and the colorblock define.

New In! Lululemon Holiday | Velvet Hooded Define Jacket

New in for Lululemon Holiday Product Drops! A Velvet Hooded Define Jacket in three colors!

Pretty soon Lululemon will be starting their twice weekly product drops full of Holiday Products for gift giving. These products have slightly elevated details like gold hardware, sparkle or special fabrics. Last year we had the sherpa scuba hoodies. Typically the Black Friday sale is the kick off for twice weekly uploads. The Vancouver flagship store got an early sneaky drop of these new Velvet Hooded Define Jackets in three colors. Black, Garnet and Spanish Moss. I LOVE them. They also got high Rise Aligns with side panels of velvet, and a fully velvet align crop are coming. There is also a beautiful teal version but that hasn’t been released yet.

I love black velvet and how textural and lux it looks. The black velvet hooded define has gold hardware on it and it’s my top pick, but I also really loved the Spanish Moss one. I didn’t try on the Garnet but it’s a beauty too. I didn’t expect this Hooded Define to be as soft and stretchy as it is. It’s slightly less restrictive than regular Defines, but I would not size down in it. I picked up both since we are officially into the extended returns period, but I may prefer the upcoming teal color to the pink.

The Lululemon Upload is live! So many of you have been asking if there will be Lululemon Black Friday Deals. I cover the Black Friday Sale every single year for the past 10 years and I anticipate this year won’t be any different. You can see my previous Black Friday Coverage Here. I will be covering Black Friday across many retailers, not just Lululemon, so definitely check here for a really good curated list for your shopping inspiration.

What To Expect From Lululemon Black Friday Sales

Lululemon traditionally releases a special capsule over the Black Friday weekend, in addition to a huge WMTM upload with temporarily lower prices than the typical WMTM prices. There will be a dedicated banner or landing page portal on the website indication that the sale has started, and through the weekend the prices may or may not drop lower. Usually they do.

Lululemon has really huge inventory right now since their product releases have been so big lately, so I anticipate the sales to be plentiful. They need to make room for holiday product!! The first thing I’m checking for is Roksanda x Lululemon Infinity Coat. I’m still super obsessed with the entire line, so if you’ve been holding out for markdown I would act quick. I think a lot of people have been waiting to snatch items up from this line at a lower price point. After the weekend the WMTM prices go back to regular sale price.

If you are a consignment shopper, this is a great time for you too!! Resellers will be digging deep in their closets to purge in order to fund Black Friday + Holiday shopping. Many posh market sellers will have their own black Friday sales too! Poshmark is available in Canada and the US so make sure to check out that market for great deals. It’s good for the environment to shop resale!!

Lastly, Empress Mala Designs will also have Black Friday Deals for those of you shopping for Christmas gifts.

FYI, The Extended Holiday Return Period is now in effect. You have until January 24, 2020 to make returns now.

The Perfect Sherpa Teddy Jacket Alo Yoga Foxy Sherpa

If you’ve been looking for The Perfect Sherpa Teddy Jacket, look no further. I found it for you this past summer, and I have worn it to death for the past two months so I can verify that it is indeed the best. So good in fact that the girls at my regular Starbucks desperately want one, my best friend now also has two, and her mom wants one for Christmas. ??

Over the summer I purchased the Foxy Sherpa Jacket from the NSALE, but it was sort of a wild card purchase and I was uncertain about it. I even gave it a somewhat negative review. It was just such a bulky shape I didn’t think I could pull that off. My preferred color choice (the lilac/brown) popped up at the end of the sale, and so I returned the white one. Big mistake!! By the time I decided this jacket was awesome, the white was sold out and it was no longer in stock at any retailer. Well, just a few days ago Alo restocked this jacket in all new colors for this winter so I ordered up this Dove Grey one.

This jacket is pricier than the Lululemon Short and Sweet Sherpa Jacket, but it’s a more substantial jacket with a better design, and a much warmer and cozier feel. Alo Yoga has free 3 day shipping to Canada, but I believe they tack on the duties.

How The Alo Foxy Sherpa Jacket Fits

I take a medium in this jacket and am typically a size 10 in Lululemon Jackets. I had tried on the small which also worked, but the band was tighter at my waist and I didn’t like that it pulled up my shirt when I moved, so I stuck with the M.

This jacket is WARM and soft on the inside. It’s lined with a soft smooth jersey material on the inside and it’s just so well made. I love that the hood is removable too, although I think the hood and collar really make the shape of this jacket special.

The pockets are nice and roomy and zip closed so I find myself using them a lot for keys and my phone. The pockets are really nicely sewn in and hidden on the inside of the jacket.

I don’t think there is a bad color in this jacket. I am coveting the dark coco, the camel and the white.

The Lululemon Upload is live! Not a super exciting upload today but some new color debuts.

Grape Leaf yellow isn’t really a universally appreciated color, but with colors like that they are best paired with jewel tones. I think Grape Leaf would look amazing as an accent to a jewel toned purple, or with garnet, or as a tiny accent on black and white. It’s too bad Lululemon doesn’t do color stories anymore because when they did, this color would have been integrated in such a way that people got really excited about it. I’m not liking any piece in this color but I think I would totally love a sherpa fleece pullover in Grape Leaf.

Hey guys!! Did you order those Ready To Rulu Pant Incognito Camo? They restocked. Finally I got some pictures of the new Lululemon x Roksanda Skirt up for you. I have three Lululemon Try-Ons for you today actually! The skirt, the Roksanda Lululemon Crops AND the super popular Camo Ready To Rulu Pants.

This is not going to be a proper fit review with comprehensive notes. I will just share a few comments on each piece and let you know what I think. If you have any questions feel free to ask in the comments.

Also, my absolute favourite sherpa jacket for this fall and winter is finally in stock again here. If you’ve been waiting for the Alo foxy sherpa jacket get it! I have been living in what my husband now affectionately calls my ‘alpaca jacket’.

Ready To Rulu Pant *Updated Incognito Camo

These sold out last week and took forever to ship out to people that did manage to order them. I found out this weekend that there was a stock issue/delay with them so that is why they haven’t been in store, and why they shipped from the most inefficient warehouse. Vancouver BC addresses got these from the Ontario warehouse.

At some point this weekend these pants got restocked online, as well as in stores. Today I was able to pick this pair up from my local store (I did my first online order/store pick-up).

They are buttery soft and I love them! TTS for me and these are a size 10. The rise is higher on these and there have been a few observations that it causes long butt on some because of this higher rise. It all depends on your proportions. For me I have longer hip bones so my waist is a bit higher, and I have a big butt to fill up that space. I don’t get long butt in these because of that, but some petite proportions will. The solution to optically shortening long butt is to wear your shirt untucked so that the hemline is lower than your waist line and you don’t see the upper part of your butt, just the bottom. All of the ‘long butt’ photos show the shirts pulled up to reveal the long butt issue, but this is not how you would actually wear the pants. Tucker inners will have to make a decision.

Lululemon x Roksanda Face Forward Skirt

I love this skirt and will be keeping it. This is something I will get a lot of practical use out of in the warmer months. The material is lovely and has a nice silky sheen to it sort of like tencil, but with much nicer fluidity. It’s not a natural material, it’s a technical satin which just means its satin made from very thin Luxtreme. This will hold up really well to washing. I take a size 10 in this which is tight going up over my hips thanks to the non stretchy cord belting, but once on the fit is great. I really love how feminine yet sporty this is, and again, I really love navy and black combined.

Tried on with three pairs of shoes I quickly grabbed. we already know from the web photos and media shot stylings that the skirt looks great with casual sneakers. I would wear this skirt with my Veja sneakers, wedge sandals, flat minimalist sandals, flip flops or espadrilles. I think my favourite though is the minimalist fashion sneaker. I like leaning toward the casual look. Wildcard options would be loafer slides, kitten heels or… I don’t know just try stuff out and decide what you like. There will be a lot more options that do work than don’t work, it just depends on what your personal style is.

Lululemon X Roksanda Break New Ground Crop

If I could keep every single Roksanda piece, I would. I decided to keep these crops and the skirt mentioned above instead of the full length tights I reviewed here. I loved those too but really like how these crops fit me. I love the navy and black together and I love the sporty yellow colorblocking. TTS. I prefer the color blocking on the full tights with the swatch of colour on the front of the lower leg, but the color blocking on these is very optically slimming. I think you can see that effect in these photos.

*Please excuse my boot stained socks. It’s boot season here and this is just the state of all of my socks lately.
