Shop The Lululemon Upload! Not a huge one this week but lots of camo repeats from last year. The On The Fly Pant in Camo and the Scuba Crew in Camo (and the Pullover) where both fast sell outs last year. New this week is also all the new wool jackets. I like the look of the Roam Far Wool 3-in-1 Jacket more than any of the previous years 3-in-1 parkas. It’s overkill for my climate though.

I like the Retreat Yourself Pullover a lot. It’s so similar to an Alo Hoodie I’ve been after for a while.

What Is Happening To The Lululemon Image?

It’s so strange to me that Lululemon was so well known for it’s feminine designs. This appealed to women so much that it put Lululemon on the map for activewear. Now they are really chasing after this androgynous aesthetic. I don’t see any women in any age demographic dressing in this yeezy norm core style, but, I see women in every demographic still wearing the iconic Lululemon yoga pants. I don’t hate these designs, I just feel really neutral towards them. Isn’t that worse? Meanwhile I am shopping up a storm in consignment shops picking up all those beautiful old Lululemon vintage items.

The Lululemon Upload is live!

What a fantastic upload today! The absolute must have for me was the Now and Always Tote Bag, and the Now and Always Crossbody Bag. I actually ordered two of the tote bags because I couldn’t decide if I wanted Camo or Manifesto. I think I’m going to end up keeping the Manifesto print since it’s more commemorative of the Lululemon Shoppers. If you are a long time Lululemon collector, you probably feel the same way. Sadly, Canada did not get the mini version which also comes in pink.

Another hit for me (which I am not able to purchase just yet) is the Ready To Rulu Pant. This is my favourite cozy fall sweat pant ever from Lululemon. It just looks sleek and stylish for a sweatpants and not sloppy the way most sweatpants look. I love it in the green!

The new Free To Be Tank in the ombre print caught my attention, as did the Run To Reset 1/2 Zip in blue, and the pretty cotton knit Summit Stride Sweater. I just love the first fall uploads from Lululemon!!

The Lululemon Upload is live!

Very tiny upload today for the last few days of August, but a few goodies did pop up. I like the Swiftly Relaxed Long Sleeve in Smokey Blush. I’m also liking the cute On My Level Crossbody.

Nothing ordered for me today. The Fall Sezane Capsule should be coming really soon and I’m excited to post (and hopefully shop) that when it drops. I have to do a post soon for you guys of the items I purchased during the Sezane Archives. I posted a few items on Instagram but a lot of what I got are fall/winter sweaters so I wasn’t feeling try-ons in mohair. Also, those items are all sold out so it would only be helpful to you in general terms of fit/style of the brand. I’ll get that post up before the new Fall capsule!

The Lululemon Upload is up!

Small Upload today but actually there where quite a few items I really liked. The new print Vitalize Multi is really doing things for me. I don’t normally love such a busy bright print but I do love a splatter paint print and I especially love the colors in this one. It’s giving me graffiti vibes. I ordered the Hotty Hot Shorts Long in Vitalize Multi mostly because I’m a bit shy for the full length crop print. I think I may order the energy bra too though because I think it will look so cute peeking out from a simple black tank, or at the V neck of a black love tee.

Other items I am loving are the Noir Short (those seem like a very great wardrobe addition), the blue Warm Down Joggers, and the dark red swiftly tech LS.

My Seawheeze 2019 Runners Showcase Store Experience

The Seawheeze 2019 Runners Showcase Store can be such an overwhelming and exhausting shopping experience. It’s such a fun, high energy event though. I’m always excited to participate no matter what I end up bringing home from the store. I love soaking it all up!

The New And Improved System

This year the Seawheeze 2019 Runners Show Case store was such an improvement over the previous few years. Thanks to a new more democratic system, all shoppers mattered. This is the second year they’ve had scheduled entry times for the pre-shop. As much as I love visiting with friends during Seawheeze, I have never been sentimental about camping out on concrete overnight. The overnight lineups is something we’ve begrudgingly endured. We’ve made the best of it in order to get to the showcase store within the first few waves.

The Reflective Capsule

This year they had a new card system for the reflective capsule. Each person in line got one of 4 cards with a different name on it. Cherryblossom, Arbutus, Blackcomb etc. This system allowed us to shop the rest of the store while we waited for our turn at the reflective shop. When our card name was called we could then line up for up to five reflective items.

Inventory Management

There was plenty of reflective items to last several hours this year. I believe they had enough reflective shop cards for all the reserved runners. Overall, they had a lot more inventory in everything. Possibly fewer designs. Definitely fewer prints and patterns in the women’s items. Of the none reflective pieces, I was only super interested in one Seawheeze item which I did not purchase. There were a few others items I liked but not enough that I wanted to purchase. There was less design effort this year, and no real cohesive unifying theme to give context to any of the colors.

Pricing

Lastly, a change I was really happy about is that they had reflective tight options in a more moderate price point. This is my first year getting my hands on reflective pieces. I can’t solely blame that on the hyping/hoarding issues that have been going on in past years, because it has also been an objection to the pricing. I purchased two reflective tights this year at $148 each. I just CANNOT spend $298 on one pair of leggings even if they are really pretty. They just aren’t 100% more pretty than the $148 pair. I really liked The Rain Is Calling Jacket in dark blue (not reflective). I hesitated because of the $228 price tag on such a simple design in a color we see pretty often.

What Sold Out, What Was Left

The only sell-out pieces in the reflective line by about 1 pm when I left where the sub $150 items. When I left for the day there where still tons of reflective Mist Over Windbreakers and Post Wheeze Cape jackets left ($398/$498), Speed Tight V’s ($298) in smaller sizes, and Energy Bras ($128).

The photos I have below show the amount that was available at 1pm. We didn’t realize it at the time but there were a few reflective items outside of the reflective store.

The Brunswick Muscle Tank in black was a really simple tank with block lettering on the front, and it ended up being reflective. I don’t believe the green version of that tank was reflective. That Brunswick Tank sold out right away and it seems to have been the sleeper hot seller. There where also many Scuba Hoodie colors with Seawheeze written on the arms. (and they where super soft!). We didn’t realize until later that the lettering on those where reflective too.

My Seawheeze 2019 Haul

This was my smallest Seawheeze Haul ever. I purchased the reflective Speed Wunder Tight in Black with reflective lettering, and Speed Wunder Tight in Summer Mirage Multi with reflective lettering. I was hanging on to the Rain Is Calling Jacket in blue. I didn’t like the steep price the jacket so once I got both reflective items I wanted I put that one back. My group was the third wave of cards that got to shop the reflective shop and I half expected it would be sold out. I just couldn’t believe that I actually got to get reflective items finally, and they were priced really well.

Speed Wunder Tight | Seawheeze Summer Mirage Multi with Reflective Lettering

I really love both reflective tights a lot. The original ‘rainbow reflective’ is very pretty but it is also very statement and attention-grabbing with all over, denser reflectivity. As much as I like them, I wouldn’t wear them very often because of the statement print. The black Speed Wunder Tights have the subtlety of a black tight with a nice pop of rainbow reflective on the sides. You don’t really see the lettering unless they get illuminated. This style is still pretty extroverted for me but I like that it’s more wearable reflectivity. The Summer Mirage Muti is really fun and flattering mini dot print with greens, pinks and blues. The reflective lettering is well hidden in the print until it gets illuminated. The Summer Mirage Multi-Speed V’s with all-over reflective were $298, but the print was less vibrant than the pair I got.

Love Tee Crewneck *Vancouver

Later we wandered over to the flagship Robson store where I found these two Vancouver graphic print Love Crew Tees. I love them! The graphic is so retro Vancouver. It’s 1980’s tourism Vancouver graphic style circa Expo ’86. The men’s line had this same print, but they where vitasea and $20 more expensive.

The Lululemon Upload is up! Some new pretties today, especially this new print in the Wunder Under High Rise Tight. This Panorama print reminds me of an engineered print from Lululemon when it first came out. It was an ocean print and I Love them. I am also liking the Gone For The Week Dress in the antique bark and grey. Morning Light High Rise Tight in Washed Code Blue is also really pretty. Honeycomb Mist Over Windbreaker is #2 on my lust list, and #1 is the Wunder Under Panorama.

This week is Seawheeze and I’m getting so excited to start seeing all my Lulu friends come into town. My husband knows to work from home this week every year so I can go downtown and soak up the festival weekend. The Lululemon Upload is up!

Big upload today gearing up for Fall and back to school! I love this time of year at Lululemon because right around Seawheeze weekend we start seeing the big uploads. Lots of winter jackets, knits and bags. I knew as soon as I saw the Camo Align Joggers last week that the good stuff was really starting to rollo in. I’m really glad I ordered those. I love them!

I love the Hazy Day Sweater in black. I normally gravitate to the pretty colors but this sweater in black is so edgy with the fading effect. I am also tempted by the Exaltation Wrap and the Throw It On Wrap. I need to replace a few of my Lululemon wraps that I really love. One thing that I really have my eye on for this week is the new Scuba Hoodie in that bright beautiful Mystic Iris. That may jump in my shopping cart.

This is the runner and virtual runner exclusive Seawheeze 2019 Gear shopping opportunity for the online store. All of these Seawheeze items are final sale. These are not the only designs for the gear, there will be much much more in store at the Runners Shop on race weekend. This is just a sampling of some of the colors and prints we can expect, and a glimpse at to what this years theme is. This is the first year where lululemon hasn’t gone all out with a theme, and they just copied last years logo. In fact, the mens map print is a new version of the map print from two years ago. I love that print and I hope we see it in the women’s line somehow.
