New in for Lululemon Holiday Product Drops! A Velvet Hooded Define Jacket in three colors!
Pretty soon Lululemon will be starting their twice weekly product drops full of Holiday Products for gift giving. These products have slightly elevated details like gold hardware, sparkle or special fabrics. Last year we had the sherpa scuba hoodies. Typically the Black Friday sale is the kick off for twice weekly uploads. The Vancouver flagship store got an early sneaky drop of these new Velvet Hooded Define Jackets in three colors. Black, Garnet and Spanish Moss. I LOVE them. They also got high Rise Aligns with side panels of velvet, and a fully velvet align crop are coming. There is also a beautiful teal version but that hasn’t been released yet.
I love black velvet and how textural and lux it looks. The black velvet hooded define has gold hardware on it and it’s my top pick, but I also really loved the Spanish Moss one. I didn’t try on the Garnet but it’s a beauty too. I didn’t expect this Hooded Define to be as soft and stretchy as it is. It’s slightly less restrictive than regular Defines, but I would not size down in it. I picked up both since we are officially into the extended returns period, but I may prefer the upcoming teal color to the pink.

I’m not sure about it. Although I do like that they’ve done something different finally!! Yay
I’m sorry that is a hard pass.
I really like the black one from the photos. The color and the way the light hits it, makes it look very luxe. The pink is pretty too, but for some reason, I like the sheen on the black one more. Finally, a velvet hoodie with a flattering cut! I’m interested to try-on in store.
Hong Kong dropped some beautiful pieces and prints. Velvet everything.
Looks really good on you! I know not to everyone’s taste but that’s the beauty of fashion …. we won’t all look the same!
I’m not sure how I feel about the velvet. I know it’s supposed to seem really luxe, but it’s giving me throwbacks to the velour tops and jackets growing up in the 70s, and to Juicy Couture track pants from whenever that happened. Neither of these things evoke positive memories. Or maybe I’m just too darn old.
If you like velvet, check out the Spanx velvet leggings. They are beautiful and so comfy. Definitely more luxe looking than these jackets.
I’ll pass on the velvet pieces, but the Plush Scuba is tempting. I missed out last year, but I’ve seen them for great prices on Poshmark all year, so not sure if I’ll pull the full-price trigger (again). I’ve been enjoying my Vivid Amber Scuba and don’t know if I want something neutral and boring. I wish they had done a bright red.
I also actually like the collar details of the pink Roksanda Inner Expanse Tank, but the cutouts in the back look odd. I get they are trying to show the matching bra in the bigger one, but the smaller one seems dumb.
Just no…..
The define jacket at it’s lowest
Thank you for this blog and your opinions. I enjoy it.
Reminds me those Juicy Couture jackets that used to be popular all those years ago.
I’m with those who wore Juicy Couture velvet everything and now can’t be bothered to repeat the experience. (I still have JC, they are indestructible.) will pass on everything Lululemon in velvet. I loved the flocked Define and CRB that I bought last year though. The plush Scuba in iris also was a great purchase. I don’t wish to get another colour. Enjoy your velvet Define, Cristina, it looks good on you!
I ordered the one in Garnet and it should be here tomorrow. They look so comfy and I wished you would have posted a pic of that one too! I like the lighter color one but wished they added a gold zipper instead of silver.
Oh by the way…is Lululemon Addict on a hiatus? Haven’t seen her post on anything on her website in ages!!
I think Luluaddict’s website has not been active for a long time. She disappeared suddenly and without a word (unless something was said on social media which I’m not a part of). I assume it was because of the sparse interest (?). Let’s face it, Lululemon’s best years were until about 2004, as far as excitedly demonstrated enthusiasm goes on behalf of the buyers. I still buy once in a while, but the lustre (and my wallet’s capacity, faced with the ever-increasing prices) are gone.
not a fan of the velvet Define but Cristina, both look so good on you!!
I think lulumum bought out Luluaddict
Wow, that’s a wild conspiracy theory. Facts – I did not buy out Lulu Addict. Lulu Addict has taken a blog break.
