Getting poolside ready with these cute summer sandals
It’s pedicure time (please ignore mine, obviously)! Of course, that means it’s also time to shop for new Cute Comfortable Sandals For Summer 2021!
I have been a huge Birkenstock fan for years and they are my go-to staple, especially when shopping for vacation sandals. You can find my original review here. My favourite style is the Mayari Sandal.
My old ‘retired’ Birks are still going strong but they’ve seen better days and have been relegated to ‘shlepping around’ sandals. Birkenstocks are the sneakers of the sandal world and no wardrobe is complete without a pair.
Birkenstock EVA Gizeh
Inspired by Victoria Beckhams lavender crocs, I decided I needed to get a new pair of Birkenstocks in that same pretty lavender color 😂. Personally, crocs are not for me. EVA Gizeh’s are the same classic style as the Gizeh Birkenstock, with the same incredible foot support, but made out of molded rubber. The monochrome look when the soles match the rest of the sandal are my favourite! I was a little worried that these might feel plasticy and sweaty but the rubber material is as foot friendly as leather. They are just as comfy as the originals, but lighter.
I looked at several EVA options in their more classic styles, and really liked the new Honolulu Flip Flop and the Barbados Pool slide. Settling on the Gizeh sandals though, and I will hunt down the Barbados in the watermelon, or lime green colorway at some point. Overall I’m really pleased with this purchase and thought they where worthy of recommending here.
What do you guys think? Do you love Birkenstock sandals too?
Again, excuse my overdue chipped pedicure. We be real here. We’ve all gotten real comfortable these last two years anyways. *updated with better photos.
