I am really loving these photos of the Anew items. A reader mentioned today that these tops are dance inspired, and I agree. These are starting to resemble the feminine details that Lululemon is so popular for, both in design and in colors. I haven’t purchased the short sleeve or the long sleeve but will strongly consider them if they come out in Quicksand.

So tempted by this knits sweater – I love Lululemon knits. I’ve really grown to adore the merino wool knits that Lululemon has put out over the fall and winter so I’m a bit disappointed that this isn’t temperature regulating loose knit merino. This year the merino knits where incredibly soft and luxurious.
Dark Forrest is such a pretty color! Especially in the accessories. I’m equally surprised, and not surprised that the Go Lightly Shoulder Bag in this color has sold out. It’s really pretty, but was it limited inventory or did it truly sell out as quickly as it did? A reader had speculated that it may have been a website glitch. There have been a few other sell-outs this upload. The Anew Bra in Quicksand, the Define Jacket in Quickand, the Embossed Wunder Under Pants and the Go Lightly Shoulder Bag.

The white and blue combination looks really sharp in these photos. I got so bored of seeing all the white crops paired with white bra and white tanks. you know what makes white interesting? when you pair it with Quicksand or Black Currant or Black Swan, or Deep Forest. White on white on white is way too boring for me.

Thanks to reader Kate for sharing with me her rose gold converse find. Last week when I did my fit review of the Black Grape Pace Rivals, I mentioned that I loved the color paired with rose gold. I also included some pictures of rose gold sandals as inspiration. Kate sent me a link to these Converse Shorelines that she’d just found and so I had to order my own pair. I always take a size 9 in shoes, and occasionally I size up. I was really surprised when I tried these on that they where too big. You can even see in the profile photo of these shoes how much extra room there is in the heel area. My feet slip out each step I take but it’s a combination of the extra room in the heel, with the lack of tension in the last from the laces. Other than that, these are super comfortable. I’m returning this size and re-ordered a half size down.

I wasn’t sure I’d love this color on me but in person it’s actually about two shades less washed out than it shows on camera. It’s a very pretty burnt rose color, so I’m not sure why they named it unappealing ‘quicksand’. Quicksand looks great paired with Black Currant. I’m a size 10 in almost all Lululemon jackets except for Define Jackets which I take a 12 in.
Here is a shot of it next to my face so you can see how the color works with my colouring. I’m fair cool toned. The next photo shows how well it pairs with Black Currant.
I’m torn with this short sleeve because I recently purchased the Sole Training SS in this same color and I really like it. I like that with the Sole Training I don’t have to worry about pretty bra straps. The Anew Short Sleeve however, is prettier and more feminine. The open back on this short sleeve is really pretty also, but then I won’t be able to wear a regular bra with this, just a pretty strappy sports bra.The cut of the side slits reminds me of an Aritzia tee I have and love – the Capuccine.
These are so pretty on! They are slightly snug going on, over the ankles, but once on they are just nicely compressive. The embossed is really pretty and it’s a slight sheen over matter full on luxtreme. I would pick my regular size 1o in these. Don’t size down!
I really didn’t think I’d like this tank because of the hem, but actually I think the hem is really pretty and long enough to be flattering. Like the Anew Short Sleeve, this split hem and the way they’ve balanced it reminds me a lot of the Aritzia Capuccine Tee. Split hems like this can be really unflattering if the front panel is too short and wide, but it’s nice and long actually and has some nice draping of the fabric. My reason for not purchasing this tank is that it really displays an area that I’m self conscious of at the moment (my wide bulky traps thanks to oly lifting) but I would have otherwise loved to have purchased this to wear with cute jeans in the summer. I hated the Anew Bra paired with this and everything else. It’s just a non supportive, unflattering cup shape and underneath all of the tops I tried on it looked terrible. I much prefer the Free To Be Serene Bra to coordinate with this top and the Anew Short Sleeve.

I really like the look of this sweater, especially in Heathered Vapour. I’ve been very spoiled by the Merino Wool sweaters lululemon has put out over the fall winter and I wish this was merino wool as well instead of boolux.

Well this was an experience of an upload day for me! My new site went live about an hour before the upload so I had to very quickly learn the ropes of this new platform so that I could get my upload post up in the format that I like. How are you liking it so far? It’s still ‘uploading’ all the information from my old site so it will take up to 48 hours before all the information is properly cached so that the images load optimally. I know the old blog comments are still being downloaded so that takes time too.
In the meantime, some stress shopping (and snacking) was in order. I ordered the Black Currant Swiftly LS and SS (not sure which one I’ll keep. And because I’m curious about the color and feeling splurgy, I ordered the Quicksand Define Jacket. The ‘Naked’ Energy Bra that the US is also interesting, and the Dark Forest Go Lightly Bag. I decided not to try the Anew Tank because I think it may look odd on me in the back where it flares, and I am curious about the Anew Short Sleeve Tee but I want to try that on in person.

Just in time for todays upload!
Guys, I am so proud and excited about a change I’ve made to my blog. You guys have been telling me for years how frustratingly slow my blog is and that was because of a combination of two issues – it’s such an image heavy blog, and the traffic is larger than the server can handle efficiently. Thank you so much for enduring the frustration for so long!! It means the world to me that you follow my blog despite the frustratingly clunky loading. I’ve finally been able to make the changes with some financial investment (hence, I need to use affiliate links to offset the monthly cost – thank you for supporting that too!), as well as help from an amazing developer – Phil. I had to be brave while taking a huge chance that it could all go sideways, I’d lose 7 years of content if it had. I know for those of you with tech knowledge this seems like a really silly anxiety to have, but because I’m not tech savvy, I can’t fix things easily when they go wrong and my blog is very precious to me. I could have also done this on my own without the assistance of a developer but I’m certain it would have taken me months to get it just right and would have been a very frustrating process. Having someone’s expertise in this was so very worth waiting for.
Visually I don’t think you will be seeing a lot of difference. This change mostly impacts the performance of my blog and the speed should be impacted substantially. Basically there is some super caching going on in the background, and greater bandwidth.
You may see some formatting issues in older blog posts and some weird broken links – I’m trying to look for those to fix them. If you see any that are jarringly weird please comment on that post to draw my attention to it so that I can fix it. The old comments are being moved over as well, but that will take time for those comments to populate the posts. Don’t worry, your thoughts and discussions are all still there.

I have a feeling the Anew Tank is not going to work for me based on how it flares in the back over the butt. I tried on the Revitalize Tank and it was a complete disaster. I’m not sure how that tank design made it into production. The overall look is really pretty, but the bra on the inside is terrible. The cups are extremely narrow and set very wide apart so you pop out if you turn right or left, and the band is very loose fitting. I wonder if the Renew Tank works better for augmented breasts specifically.
