I first showed a sneak peek of these tights back in August [Sneak Peek Of Items To Come] but we didn’t know at that time that these where Nulux tights. I believe that these are also Speed Wunder Tights but they may be a different design. The print is inspired by glaciers. I love the blue tones and definitely want to try these on after the Florence and Marble Mix didn’t work out for me. I’m determined to find the right Nulux tights for me.

Brave The Cold Jacket

You lose some you win some! Yesterday I was very cranky about the Rush Hour Jacket being marked down extremely fast and not being able to get mine price adjusted, and today I scored a Sattva Sweater on sale! I really liked this sweater when I first tried it on but I really disliked the price tag of $158 so it was always on the back of my mind when combing through sales racks. It was one of the items I looked for at my local stores shopping event but they sold thru immediately so I just assumed they where gone everywhere. Today I went to a store I don’t normally go to and they had all the colors of the Sattva Sweater marked down in most sizes! If you are in Canada, you can call the Oakridge store to order one, or you can check your stores to see if they have it marked down too. 

This sweater is a bit too warm for me for inside wear in Vancouver since it is 100% merino wool and a heavy knit, but I’m going to Toronto next month and I suspect this will be a good layering piece for me there. I really like natural fibres like this and since it’s oversized it’s not itchy on me.

While I was there I also tried on the Embrace The Space Hoodie which has gotten some hype on Facebook groups. I think it’s nice enough but I wasn’t in love with it and it wasn’t magical slimming or elegant on me. The thinness of it was a nice change since you can wear it under a jacket without feeling the bulk of cotton or fleece, or you can probably slip it on quite easily post workout on sweaty skin, but it’s still a nylon/polyester blend material and $138 seemed really much for it. Whats nice about it is it’s thinness and how saturated dark black it is, and it’s somewhat structured. I tried on my size 10 which was huge, and size 8 which was oversized but right and both lengths where butt covering on me.  It’s on my markdown list but I think I’d only bite if it’s sub $80. Spacer fabric is a tricky fit though, on some it looks really elegant and on others it just overwhelms.

Sattva Sweater

Another infusion of new products on the WMTM upload today. I’m feeling very frustrated that I purchased this jacket at full price (which was very pricey) only to have it now marked down to a normal price range within just a few weeks. I love this jacket and have worn it a lot since I got it, and have gotten lots of compliments on it, I just wish I could have benefited from the markdown price on it. Had this jacket been priced at the usual price range for this type of lululemon jacket, it would not have gone to markdown as quickly. 

Have any of you been burned by markdowns over the past three weeks of new products going to WMTM? Discuss.

I mentioned in my fit review that I got special washing instructions for these pants but others that have purchased these pants today have not recieved the same instructions so that may have just been an individual suggestion and not a company directive. I think I’m going to keep mine and see how they do in the wash. They are really lovely and pretty much perfect (if they don’t have any colorfast issues).

I am so interested in these black ones but I’m worried that the fade in the print will be lost on me since I am short. Worth a try at least to see. 

The prices of the New York City Splatter Reflective is interesting. Lululemon had a very similar capsule to this last year with this kind of pricing and the items sat in WMTM for over a year.

My husband and I had a funny conversation the other day that resulted in my returning the First Mile Jacket. It started with me getting his opinion between two sizes, at which point he offered the irrelevant opinion that he didn’t like the jacket. Whatever, boys don’t understand. He didn’t like it because it was military green and bulky. Several hours later, he sent me a text message (from another room in the house), which read ‘was that jacket really $277?????!!’. He wasn’t getting mad at me for spending that amount because I cover my miscellaneous spending, he was just judging me hard that I would spend that amount on that particular jacket. I ended up returning the jacket somewhat begrudgingly, in hopes that I would be able to snag one marked down.  This weekend I started shopping around on eBay looking for similar wintery items and I found two things for steals and it made me remember the great items Lululemon has put out in the past. Both items combined came in way under the total of the First Mile Jacket, so yay to that!

Post Chaturanga Pullover

I tried this on years ago but it was so warm and thick because of the sherpa fleece that I didn’t see myself ever wearing it. My kids where really little at that time and I didn’t foresee the awfulness of soccer through the winter. Now, I need warm thick things. This is the perfect sweater to layer over a tee shirt and under a jacket. 

Run Inspire Pullover

I used to own this pullover and in a moment of weakness I sold it, and really regretted it ever since. That’s 4 years of regret! Every so often I scour eBay for it but it always pops up in the wrong size. The other day I found it in my size, and someone local to me was selling it! It arrived two days ago and I am so happy. Reunited!
