Lululemon Fitting Room Try-Ons! Just Pleat It Short Sleeve, Wrap It Back Sweater, Cool & Collected Jacket

by Cristina

Lululemon fitting room try-ons for you this holiday weekend! Hope you are having a great weekend! I didn’t expect to find something to buy today but I definitely did. As always, let me know what you guys think in the comments section.

Just Pleat It Short Sleeve – Pearl Pink

I love Pearl Pink and was really interested in this tee when it first uploaded on Tuesday’s upload. I hesitated ordering it right off the bat because I assumed it would be too short, or sheer, or just disappointing like the Just Pleat It Tank. I really love girly details like pleats though and paired with this pink it’s just perfect. It turns out I absolutely love the fit of this on me. The length is not too short and goes over my waistband, and because of the pleat panel at the sides, the material floats away from the body in a really flattering way. This is my regular size 10. I’m finding I’m sizing up to a 12 more and more so I’d say this is a generous TTS. It is a bit on the sheer side which will suck because most of my sports bras are dark, but with my regular everyday bra in nude you really can’t see much. This top is actually going to be pretty versatile for me because I love a crew neck tee for oly lifting (cleavage during snatches is a real problem) and I would definitely wear this top casually with jeans whereas the sculpt tank II in this color I wouldn’t wear casually. Really loving this short sleeve and I highly recommend it.  $74 for a short sleeve though seems absurdly expensive, doesn’t it?

Ugh! I hate it in the next two photos.

Wrap It Back Sweater – Sea Breeze

This sweater was a real problem for me. I definitely need a size up in it because in my TTS, the plainer side really clings to every lump and bump and the effect is just hideous. This is my TTS 10 in these photos and I didn’t get to try the size up for comparison.  If you are firmer bodied in this area I think it won’t be problematic, but let’s face it, a good proportion of us have bra and waistband lumps. I first tried this on with the plain side forward and I just cringed. I was ready to take it off and burn it but then decided to reverse it to see what it looked like with the wraps in the front. I actually really love the look of the wraps in the front and find it very flattering, but then the plain back is problematic once again. The wraps in the front really balance a curvy pear shape and accentuate the bust.  I think if there had been a slight a-line to the fit of this, or a bit of extra material at the back it wouldn’t cling so badly. Sizing up will help some but more than that I think it needs a slight A-line, and I’d also like more length to it.  I’ll probably try it on again on Monday but I’m passing on this sweater regardless. The material is really soft and luxurious and I love the Sea Breeze color.

Cool & Collected Jacket

Cool & Collected Jacket – Sea Breeze

I have a thing for light cotton french terry jackets. I don’t love the thickness of scuba hoodies at all but thin cotton jackets are perfect for me. I loved the color of this jacket, and love the overall feel and fit of this jacket. It’s a really comfortable relaxed TTS and not an awkward length. I was drawn to this jacket because of the pretty color and the feminine ruching detail at the shoulders but I actually think the ruching is slightly unflattering to the overall shape. It gives the illusion of rolled hunch shoulders I think.  I’m not sure, maybe I was being fussy. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t have to have it so I’ve got this on my ‘maybe’ list for now. If it ever gets marked down in this color I’ll probably pounce on it

The Pleat It SS is pretty and so flattering on you. It was a good pick! I love the color and I really want to get it, but the price is holding me back. I think they’ve finally pushed the prices out of the range I’m willing to spend. I bought a pace skirt the other day and I winced when he told me my total was $74. It didn’t help much when my 5 year old shouted out that “it seems like a lot of money you want for that!” Embarrassing, but he’s kind of right, haha! I actually put the pearl pink FTB serene back because I was bothered by spending almost $145 on a skirt and sports bra. I need a money tree.

The pink top looks good on you but it is overpriced.

The middle sweater is not made for your body type.

The bottom jacket is meh, nothing really special

It’s really hard to find something that is just right, isn’t it?.

I agree with you, Lizzie. I love the Pleat It SS on you Cristine. The colour is so pretty. I personally don’t like that the lines of the underneath layer of the sweater are so visible. I think these ruin the cuteness of the sweater overall. The hoodie has nothing special, just a hoodie I’d find in Walmart. Also, I’ve seen it in store and the colour is not that vibrant as it is on the website pictures. I like your haircut Cristine. Looking fresh!!!

Thanks! Yes, I agree about the sweater. It’s bunchy in the layers and they don’t naturally lay flat since it’s a knit. yup, the jacket isn’t special and the color isn’t vibrant. I do like the color though. Needs to be a bargain for me to bite.

Thanks! I got it cut last week. Shorter then I wanted so it needs to grow out of the awkward styling stage but it’s a good length for Spring.

I like the shorter length hair cut on you. So cute!

Thanks for the try-ons. I wanted to try them on as well but couldn’t get to a store. Probably on Monday. Love the pleat it shirt on you. Very flattering cut and very feminine. The idea of the sweater is nice but I didn’t think it would be that great seeing it on the upload. I’m disappointed the hoodie wasn’t anything special. I was drawn to the color and the ruching on the shoulders. But I think you’re right. It looks like your shoulders are a bit hunched. I don’t think you were being too picky. It looks cute from the back though.

Your try-ons saved me some money. I ordered a few things from last weeks upload and received them. I might return a few things.

What is sizing like? TTS? I’m a size 9 like you, what size did you get?

I think narrow TTS. I ordered my size 9 because that was all that was left, but all the recommendations say to size up. My TTS is fine though. The only thing is the two lower straps are at their tightest and they don’t lock my foot into the sole of the shoe, so my foot moves around on the sole quite a bit. Maybe a slipping hazard because of that.

My sentiments exactly. Thank you for saving me from having to buy the hoodie. Love the Just Pleat It – Just Too Pricey For A Shirt Like That.

I actually bought the Wrap It Back Sweater in SeaBreeze – loved the fabric, the design, the color… everything except how it looked on me. I’m short and a little curvy and this did not do me a single favor. Not one. So back it went. So sad – it’s gorgeous on a hanger and a tall thin Lulu model!

On another note – I bought my first Free To Be Serene bra in the beautiful Pearl Pink and even though I had my doubts about it fitting correctly (felt like it was a bit too big, though it was my Energy Bra size), I popped the tags and wore it to Hot Power Yoga. Mistake. My instructor actually asked me if I was okay at one point during the class as I was constantly tugging at it – the straps were too big and the coverage too small. 🙁 I guess I can wear it walking on a nice day.

@lulumum I got the shirt because it looked so cute on you. 😀 I cant believe only size 2 and 4’s are left. I wonder if they will restock? That pink is such a pretty pink on you!

The shirt is restocked on US side. It looks so great on you I had to order to try. Thanks for sharing! Love the color. Has anyone tried on the rejuvenate crop? I got the cinch it dress in 2 colors, I am short and it really fits well with cinch. Don’t size down it’s a tight TTS or your larger of 2 sizes. I go between 2 and 4 and got dress in a 4 and it fits perfect.

Hmm, I’m not really a fan of these ones. But if you have a lululemon outlet near you, don’t EVER pay retail price. I never pay more than 50% for anything, except the Align pants 🙂 You’d be surprised how many clothes they have there. I’m always envious of how big their 10/12 section is at the outlets. Almost double the selection of everything else, you should check one out.
