Pretty small Lululemon Upload today for the final upload of 2018! I’m Sorry I’ve been awol the past two weeks, besides taking some time off with my family for Christmas, we’ve all been hit with the stomach flu. Not all at the same time either….consecutively which is a special kind of hell. Otherwise, Christmas was very good to us and I hope it was fantastic for all of you. I’ve been mulling over my Best and Worst of 2018 post so I will try and have it up for you tomorrow.

By the way, I wanted to share my awesome Boxing Day score. I got these Alexander Wang boots on steep steep markdown for $178 online. I jumped on them when I saw them because they looked great and seemed like a great price. Little did I know that that was a very rare markdown and the Vancouver Store has these on full price for $840. They were a momentary markdown online and sold out as soon as I placed my order so I think it was only marked down because it was a one-off size. I also saw some other crazy deals for Valentino Rockstud shoes for under $200 as well, but they were fully sold out by the time I saw them. My other boxing day purchase was the Jericho SS from Lululemon, and I really love it.

Lululemon Holiday Uploads

Lululemon Holiday Uploads! The upload is live! There has been no rhyme or reason to how and when Lululemon is uploading their new product drops this holiday. Traditionally they’ve done twice a week uploads in December until the holiday shipping time cutoff. This year they’ve missed a few of the extra uploads. This week they just did a very light upload on Monday… not sure if there will be a regularly scheduled Tuesday upload considering this one is so light.

Sorry I haven’t been able to do a Holiday Gift Guide this season. I may get one up yet but it’s been really busy this month for me. I’m hoping that instead of a Traditional Blogger Gift Guide, we could share in this upload post in the comments those ‘can’t live without’ items we have. I’d love it if we could share our own favorite things in the comments and maybe we can inspire each other with those last minute tricky gifts. I’ll add more of my own in the comments but my current ‘can’t live without’ item is my Molton Brown items. I love the Ylang Ylang and Coco Sandalwood shower gel and body lotions. Make sure to share your own Must Have list, your husbands or special someones, your kids etc.

Lululemon Holiday Drops! The upload is live!

Today’s upload has been the equivalent of going to the mall to Christmas shop and circling the parking lot for two hours. 

Loving the Scuba Hoodie Plush but not gravitating to any color in particular just yet. I also really like the Coast Hoodie and Coast Easy Wrap. I love modal hoodies and wraps, they are so cozy!  For those of you considering the Swiftly Sparkle, I’ve tried it on and found it fit tight and because of the lurex threads, it’s also slightly scratchy. This seems to be the unanimous opinion on facebook so far. It doesn’t photograph especially sparkly but the sparkle is much more obvious in person.

This is a baaaaad very good Lululemon Holiday Product Drop upload.

I’m a sucker for cozy merino wool sweaters and wraps and between the Transformation Wrap upload, the Sit In Lotus Sweater in amazing colors and  Sit In Lotus Wrap in great colors I’m having such a hard time deciding what I like best. Thankfully we have the extended holiday return period. I also really loved the Pink Swiftly Tech LS Sparkle I saw in the store today but I didn’t pick it up. I have to try it on because touching it briefly in the store I felt like the sparkle threads (lurex?) may be scratchy.  So many temptations for me these past few weeks. Did you order anything?

Lululemon Black Friday

Heads up that the Lululemon Black Friday sale is live…except that the website is down and nobody can check out. I wonder if the sale went live too early and now they are holding it back until the evening. 

Traditionally, Lululemon has done the Black Friday Sale later in the evening, and also uploaded Special Edition items. I believe those items are the floral print we saw earlier this week. We may also see a regular upload later today but I’m not certain. The way Lululemon has always done black Friday is that the sale goes on until Monday, but the prices drop throughout the weekend with the lowest prices being on Cyber Monday.

From the brief amount I got to see of the sale before the website crashed, the prices weren’t great and they were pretty much items that had already been on WMTM, but got pulled off and then relisted at the same original WMTM prices.

Reader Request: Lululemon Toasty Tech Tights vs. Keep The Fleece Tights

Thanks to reader Ms. D for putting in this request! I appreciate being able to help! On Monday, Lululemon uploaded last years Toasty Tech Tight II‘s to the Canadian site, but with a big hefty price increase, and more importantly, a big price difference with the competing Keep The Fleece Tights. The Keep The Fleece Tights sit at $128, and the  Toasty Tech Tight II are $148. Both are tech fleece fabric and have subtle design differences, but overall they have the exact same function, same material and same construction quality. I like both a lot but not sure the difference in price is worth it unless you have a distinct style preference.

For the Toasty Tech Tight II’s, I really love the quilting pattern at the side, and I love the matte purple color I have which Is black grape. I don’t love the contrasting waistband though so I would probably gravitate more to the new Cyber color. Comparing the fit to the Keep The Fleece, these feel less compressive and higher in the waist. They may be less compressive because they’ve stretched out after some wear over the years but I think the ribbed bands and seam details on the Keep The Fleece help retain shape as well. These are the same length as the Keep The Fleece but because there isn’t the zipper detailing at the hem and it’s a narrower cut it looks less obviously too long. There is less pooling and bunching at the hem.

Keep The Fleece Tight

I know a lot of people aren’t fans of the ribbed panels across the legs and they definitely can be visually less lengthening, but I love the edgy motto look to them. I really love the zipper at the ankle as well and generally gravitate to this pair over my other pair but that may be due to the color being more neutral. This just looks ‘outfit worthy’ for a big oversized slouchy sweater and scarf while the other pair looks like ‘I’m out for a pre dawn winter run before dropping the kids off at school’. After a day of wearing these you can definitely feel the seams across the thighs which is not an issue you would have with the Toasty Tech Tight. They aren’t tight or feel uncomfortable on me but I do notice the seams so it’s worth noting.

So there you have it! Both are equally suitable for winter running although neither are quite warm enough for sub -20* runs, but perfect for mild west coast winter runs. Both are cozy and cute, but you may have a style preference for one over the other or a pricing preference. I highly recommend both. Hope that helps!

Sneaky Lululemon Holiday Upload

Tis the season! The start of the Lululemon Holiday Upload. Lululemon does double the uploads every week during the holidays and we got a treat today with a big upload for both US and Canada. I anticipate no upload tomorrow, and the second upload for Black Friday surprises will be on Thursday evening I think, or Friday morning. The upload schedule will be similar to this weeks until Christmas. Don’t forget we also have the holiday return period which extends to January 28. 

Lots of goodies today! I am annoyed that Canada didn’t get the Transformation Wrap like the US did.  The Transformation Wrap is an oldie favorite which first came out in 2013. I was so excited to see them return that I took a risk and ordered it off the US side. Ouch on the exchange rate! I love the colors it comes in this year. Canada did get the Sit In Lotus Wrap II which I also like (and prefer the material of) but the US got a bunch of new colors in that that Canada didn’t get. I also love the Calm & Cozy jacket which seems like a new version of the old Cuddle Up Jackets we would see during the Holidays. Another retro return, the In Stride Jacket, is tempting me in the camo. I love the new floral prints, especially the purple-pink In Bloom Wunder Under Multi print. I think I need this print in a jacket or tank though, or possibly that bag.
