Self-Isolation Fashion Trends ☆ Tie-Dye Sweatshirts from Lululemon

More in Self-Isolation Fashion Trends Tie-Dye edition! Part 2 of the LA Pullover Hoodie. If you didn’t catch it, here is Part 1, and an earlier post on the trend. Lululemon sweatshirts are where it’s at this season!

LA Pullover Hoodie

My favourite of the two lululemon sweatshirts is this one.

Wunder Train High-Rise Tights in Heathered Graphite Grey

Another item that has been a huge hit for me are these Wunder Train High-Rise Tights in Everlux in this Heathered Graphite Grey. They are so silky soft!

Vince Warren Slip-On Sneaker

Another big winner for me in the loungewear category has been these Vince Warren Slip-on Sneakers that I got on sale recently for my birthday. I’ve wanted them for a while since they are the perfect slip on sneaker for leggings, but wouldn’t bite the bullet at their full price. The sale price right now is great!

These are my TTS size 9 and they are incredibly comfortable right out of the box. I highly recommend them if you’ve been looking for casual shoes to wear with your joggers and leggings!

Coronavirus Trends: Lululemon Tie-Dye Hoodie ☆ LA Pullover Hoodie Watercolor Wash White/Stargaze/Daydream/Key Lime

Covid Fashion Trends – lululemon sweatshirts, tie-dye matching sets.

Today in Covid Fashion Trends: Lululemon sweatshirts. Tie-Dye Hoodies are trending, and lululemon has released a new style! This trend is all over tiktok, instagram and on every retailers website.
I’m surprised at how fast this lululemon crewneck arrived. I ordered it yesterday afternoon. Lately, most of my Lululemon orders, due to the covid bottleneck at the warehouse are late.

A new lululemon sweatshirt in tie-dye – LA Pullover Hoodie

My tie-dyed lululemon sweatshirt arrived, and I like it a lot. I was a little worried that I wouldn’t like the collar detail on this lululemon sweatshirt pullover hoodie. It’s so thin and stretchy though that you can tuck the collar down, and if you wear it up you can’t even feel it. It adds a nice look. What I love most about this lululemon pullover hoodie is how velvety soft the inside is. It’s so cozy while still being lightweight and thin. I ordered this sweatshirt in my TTS. It’s oversized without being bulky.

Coronavirus Trends: Lululemon Tie-Dye Hoodie | LA Pullover Hoodie Watercolor Wash White/Stargaze/Daydream/Key Lime

I’m not much of a scuba hoodie person but I definitely love this style of oversized

How do I like it compared to the scuba women’s zip up sweatshirts?

I don’t care for the scuba women’s zip up sweatshirts, but I definitely love this new style. This style of oversized pullover hoodie is exactly what I like in a cozy sweatshirt. I’m going to order the matching seat tie-dye joggers. Now that I know how soft the material is, and how pretty the print looks in person, I’d love the hole set.

Time to order the matching set! Tie-dye sweatshirt and joggers for work-from-home during covid.

I’m debating the Watercolor Wash Lunar Rock/Black/Larkspur. The white version is pale, but you can tell it is a water-colour tie-dye print and not dirt-stained in person.
What do you guys think? I know this tie-dye sweatshirt set was a bit polarizing in the Facebook group. but still, an overwhelming majority loved the pieces. There are a few passionate detractors for this trend.

Would I usually wear something this ‘out there’ as far as a print and style? No. In normal life, I would be a little shy to wear something this whimsical and campy even if I did love it. Sure, I’d wear it at home or on a road trip but not ‘out’ as an outfit. In covid times, though, this is what I want to wear. This is comfort and happiness in a clothing item.

What do you guys think? I know this tie-dye set was a bit polarizing in the Facebook group but there was an overwhelming majority that loved the pieces and ordered them and a few emphatic detractors.

Coronavirus Trends: Lululemon Tie-Dye Sweatsuits

by Cristina April 23, 2020
written by Cristina

Lululemon has jumped right in on the corona virus influencer trend of tie-dye sweatsuits! The Lululemon Tie-Dye sweatsuits come in two colorways, Watercolor Wash White/Stargaze/Daydream/Key Lime and Watercolor Wash Lunar Rock/Black/Larkspurand uploaded this morning.

What do you think of this tie-dye trend? I’ve got to admit I’ve been very tempted by it. I might just jump in too now that there are Lululemon tie-dye cozies. I wish the lighter one was a bit more saturated though.

Have you been shopping more this past week? I was talking to a couple of friends last night on FaceTime and we all agreed that this week we had started shopping again online. Mail carriers are all overwhelmed right now with Christmas level online shopping and reduced work capacity. UPS is reporting delays, and Canada Post has issued a statement. I also noticed that Lululemon has sold through on many items, as have other retailers I browse online. There is definitely an uptick in online retail therapy, and that doesn’t mean home goods and essentials.

There where three items I looked at purchasing this week from Lululemon that have sold out. The Catch A Breath Zip Hoodie, Wunder Train High Rise Crop in Heathered Graphite, and Perfectly Oversized Crew in Carnation Red.

The Lululemon Upload Featuring Monarch Orange

by Cristina April 21, 2020
written by Cristina

The Lululemon Upload Featuring Monarch Orange came early! Late last night we got an upload of Monarch Orange items from Lululemon. Monarch really reminds me of Creamsicle Pop from 2012.

I’m really liking the Catch A Breath Zip Hoodie and am debating pulling the trigger. I sort of wish it was made of spacer fabric though, but Modal is very soft.

Another item caught my eye today and I’m really sad about it because it’s not new on thew website and it’s sold out in most sizes now. How did I miss the Perfectly Oversized Crew in Carnation Red? That color is beautiful and there are no other items in that color.

Sézane Archives

by Cristina April 21, 2020
written by Cristina

Surprise! A 24h Sézane Archives Sale is here! Shop it fast because things are flying. I ordered a top I had wanted last year that popped up. This one here in case you are wondering. I really wanted this dress as well but it sold out in my size. It matches the top I got over the winter archives and I absolutely love the top.

By the way… this is amazing… for those of us in Canada we can now shop Sézane with free shipping. It looks like the duties and taxes are already fixed in the price. I’m not certain I won’t get hit with import duties when my item arrives but at check-out it looked like that was included. The free shipping and free returns is fantastic! I used to order off the US site and mail forward my items, which was a huge pain.

What To Buy At The Sephora Spring Savings Sale (Rouge Access)

by Cristina April 18, 2020
written by Cristina

The Sephora Spring Savings Sale is here for Rouge Access from April 17 to May 1! I don’t currently have Sephora Rouge Access so for those of us with VIB access our sale starts April 21 and goes to April 29.

Don’t forget to use your free shipping discount code – FREESHIP. And Sephora now also has extended returns.

My Sephora Spring Savings Recommendations

I thought I’d show you my most recent Sephora haul from two months ago since these products are all new to me, and I loved all of them. In particular I really love the Kosas Tinted Face Oil and Shiseido Waso Color-Smart Day Moisturizer with SPF. If you are a fan of Armani foundations because of their ultra thin pigment foundations you will probably also love the Kosas Tinted Face Oil. Shiseido Waso Color Smart reminds me of Boscia CC Cream I used to buy that is no longer available. It’s hydrating and soothing and doesn’t feel like caked on foundation.

Always #1 on my Sephora Recommendations list is my favourite holy grail deodorant Malin + Goetz Eucalyptus Deodorant. My love for this deodorant is as strong as ever and I’m so happy Sephora finally carries it. It was almost impossible to find in Canada when I started buying it so I would stock up in the US, but earlier this year Sephora Started carrying it.

Admittedly I am not wearing a lot of makeup during quarantine but when I need a little light coverage these items are perfect. The deodorant has held up very well during the pandemic level anxiety-stress sweat.

Shop My Favourites

Sephora Spring Savings Sale, what to buy during the Sephora rouge sale, natural makeup, Kosas Tinted face Oil, Shiseido Waso Color-Smart Day Moisturizer SPF.

What Are You Getting From The Sephora Sale? You Still Wearing Makeup During Quarantine Living Or Has Your Makeup Routine Diminished In Any Way?

The Fashion That Is Trending During Quarantine: What Are We Buying Online? Tie Dye Lounge Sets!

by Cristina April 15, 2020
written by Cristina

BORED IN A HOUSE BORED IN A HOUSE BORED so I’m being super nosy and checking in to see what everyone is online shopping for in fashion right now and in other things. This Is All The Fashion That Is Trending During Quarantine, and of course all the Beauty Trends are included as well and some interesting ‘other’ items. Some of it, I must say is quite amusing.

The Fashion That Is Trending During Quarantine

Tie Dye Lounge Sets are Trending

Loungewear Sets in general of course, but Tie Dye Lounge Sets specifically. In fact, they are selling out like toilette paper. This is The Number One Fashion That Is Trending During Quarantine.

Tie Dye Sweatshirts are trending right now for quarantine, The Fashion That Is Trending During Quarantine

Of Course, Lululemon Makes The Best Loungewear For Quarantine

The Loungewear I’ve Been Buying..

Lululemon makes the best loungewear for quarantine, The Fashion That Is Trending During Quarantine

Blue Light Blocking Glasses

This is a very practical trend now that many of us are working from home and homeschooling our kids. We aren’t just pulling full time hours at work, we are also offering our kids tech support and homework help which involves screen time, and our off work relaxation time also involves plenty of screen time.

I actually immediately ordered this pair of Quay Australia Blue Light Glasses after reading about this trend because my eyes have been feeling so strained lately and I’ve been having constant headaches.

Love these Tom Fords. They are pretty but pricey!

Hair Dyes & Cutters Are Selling Out

Because salons are closed, and now one month in to quarantine, people are buying all the at home hair salon supplies. Specifically, Hair Dye and Hair cutters. Fun fact, my mom has always hoarded (among some other key items) hair dye. She is an older boomer and a product of depression era living so she has this quirk where she is always stockpiling random things (laundry detergent, toilette paper, hair color) without even thinking about it. These random hoards never ever made sense to me…. until now. She just feels good knowing she has these items stashed away in her ‘shopping room’.

How many of you have been brave enough to give your husbands or significant others hair cuts?

Lingerie

This one makes sense. Nothing better than pretty lingerie hiding beneath a grungy pair of sweatpants and housecoat. It makes us feel a bit better now that all those greys are sprouting, right? We are spending more on lingerie right now and it’s probably because we don’t need to spend much on outside clothes that the outside world will see. We are humans and self expression is ingrained in us. Even though these items have a limited audience, we are buying up all the pretty lingerie things . I love lingerie shopping all of the time though so in the next few days I will share my favourite recent lingerie additions.

& Sex Toys

I did a search engine trend look to see what was trending in shopping during Corona Virus Quarantine and this was #1. Is this for singles? Couples spending too much together time? Couples spicing things up together? Inquiring minds want to know…

Sex Toy Sales Are Up Amid Coronavirus says LA Times.

Don’t worry, Goop’s got you here..

The Fashion That Is Trending During Quarantine, sex toys are trending during quarantine

Tops, But Not Bottoms

Walmart Sees an Increase In Tops Sales, But not Bottoms During Coronavirus.

We have video conferencing to thank for this one. Like I said yesterday with Lululemon’s upload of the In The Moment Shirt – Collar at the top, pyjamas on the bottom.

We Are Shopping Resale BIG TIME! The Resale Market Has Exploded During Quarantine.

This is anecdotal of course, but within my community of reselling friends, we are seeing an uptick in Poshmark and eBay sales. I’ve sold quite a few items the past couple of weeks, and I’ve also purchased an item or two from my longtime Lululemon wish list. Because retail stores are currently online only and with a limited sales force, their distribution and shipping has been bottlenecked causing huge delays. Resellers however are reliable because they are nimble. This is the amazon shipping effect. It’s also great to get a deal on items during tough economic times, and I think we are all a lot more mindful of waste. I foresee this market getting even bigger as retailers have to cut costs by not ordering Fall merchandise.

Have You Guys Thought Of Making Any Of These Purchases During Quarantine?

Dispatch From Quarantine: The Lululemon Upload

by Cristina April 14, 2020

This weeks Dispatch From Quarantine: The Lululemon Upload…

FYI I am having some technical difficulties today with my site. If you click on the link for this blog post you will see it, but if you attempted to navigate to it via home page you would have seen a white page. I am working on it and it should be resolved shortly.

Are any of you doing the Lululemon Strava Challenge? 5 days of 20 minute activity for each week for the next 4 weeks. I’m doing it with my husband but I’m having the worst pollen allergies of my life with the cedar pollen. I’ve never had really bothersome allergies but for some reason this year even just having a window open sets me off. Unfortunately I can’t do allergy meds. Any tips from other allergy sufferer runners that don’t take allergy medications? I seem to be ok during my run, but the second I am done running I start sneezing uncontrollably and choking on my throat itch for the next 12 hours.

Greetings from my WFH Setup Today…

While I do tech support on my own site, simultaneously do the upload post, tech support with one Childs homeschool (15 classroom programs being downloaded and juggled between the two of them…. ?why though!) and remotely supervising 11 year old making lunch.. how’s your day going?

Dispatch From Quarantine: My Week in Pictures

by Cristina April 8, 2020
written by Cristina

Quarantine Venting. Read This Section Only If You Are Up To It.

The past 8 days have been really rough, and discombobulating. For me at least. I had a few rough days coping with this weird calm yet stressful time.

My province, BC is doing really well. Each day our numbers of confirmed infected are smaller and smaller. So what’s my problem then? This is great news if we can keep it up and we don’t get any super spreaders walking around. My angst is in the realization that these good numbers don’t at all change our current ‘lock down’ situation. It doesn’t change this weird new reality of our day to day lives. It only means we are healthy, for now. I am grateful for that, and for your health.

It’s still just really weird, and sad. I feel sad about the loss of a lot of things. I feel weirded out. I am sad about how challenging this is on relationships and the toll it takes. Anyone married is probably feeling this weird state of being super close and connected, but also very very stressed and quick triggered. I’m sad that I can’t hug my parents, or take care of them. I’m sad that if they got sick I wouldn’t be able to see them or help them. I’m sad for our kids missing out on simple human interaction which is crucial to healthy development. The loss of community. Amongst all of this there have been so many positives with how we connect. I get really happy to see our school post daily funny youtube videos and spirit day challenges, but it’s still….weird.

Anyways… enough venting on that. I could go on for pages and pages ruminating on how special this time is, or how much of an opportunity it is, or tell you all the ways I’m sad about it… but life goes on so lets look at my week in photos.

What I’m Wearing For WFM

Lost In Leisure Crops + Love Tee

Love Tee V Hyacinth

Baking Sourdough

For unknown reasons, I was inspired to follow the viral Instagram trend of baking artisanal sourdough bread. I’m glad I did because it turns out it’s quite economical to have great bread made from just flour, water, and salt. Gotta love depression era recipes. I am not a baker but these turned out delicious. I delivered 3 of them to family members. This is the recipe I followed which seemed the least complicated.

The Work From Home Sitch

I’m not new to working from home or even working from home with the kids at home during spring break. The main difference now is coronecation. Having to home school our kids is absurdly stressful, isn’t it? I have to walk them through each task, including logging on and figuring out Microsoft teams each and every day. Oh yah, and share computers with the kids. Repeating the same basic log on instructions over and over again each day. This despite the fact that they can figure out tik-tok videos no problem, or build houses on roblox for hours.

Dispatch From Quarantine: My Week in Pictures - how working from home is going

How Corona-Schooling Is Going…

As you can see they are book adjacent. Computer is open, but not on school work. We are getting there. Each day we tick off one task towards school. Today was having the tools nearby.

Dispatch From Quarantine: My Week in Pictures - how homeschool is going

Depression Era Food Sourcing

Food is getting expensive, y’all! Avocados are $2! I decided to start a garden and these are my little seedlings. Tomatoes, spinach, cucumbers, broccoli and I’m not even really sure what I have planted. Maybe Cheetos in the top left. They are inside right now in a window and I don’t yet have a plantar box outside for them. Considering keeping them indoors in a hydroponics system but that would be crazy, right? I’ve ordered this cute little indoor garden set which is pretty much hydroponics, but it hasn’t arrived yet.

Dispatch From Quarantine: My Week in Pictures - what we are eating

Self-Care During Quarantine

I am rationing three things for myself. Lush bath bombs, Purdy’s Easter chocolates, and baking flour. Speaking of Easter, did you know Andrea Bocelli is doing a free concert on Easter from Duomo Cathedral in Milan? I’ll be watching it for sure.

I wish I could report that I’ve gotten farther in this book. I’m loving it so far but my attention span still hasn’t recovered from this stress. I’m about 1/4 of the way through but I will force myself to sit longer and make a better dent in it so we can discuss.

Dispatch From Quarantine: My Week in Pictures - what I'm reading

The two books I want to get through this month…

What We Are Drinking

A wine recommendation! We had this one last night and it was very, very good. It’s called Ribera Del Duero Celeste Crianza . It’s a slightly pricier wine but it’s my new favorite. My standby more affordable favorite is Almansa Laya.

This is the pour required to get kids through online learning.

AND… CHEERS to teachers, nurses, Dr.’s essential workers, funny people sharing good memes on twitter. And CHEERS to our adorable pets who are now officially essential workers – therapy animals. Pay them in treats and belly rubs.

Dispatch From Quarantine: My Week in Pictures - What I'm drinking

Online Shopping & Fashion News

Did you see that Gap inc. is canceling Summer and Fall orders? I foresee a lot more brands doing this in order to economically survive. I don’t see Lululemon doing this, although they may space out their product releases.

On the shipping front, things are taking much, much longer to deliver so I highly recommend if you have a birthday coming up that you need to shop for, get on it early. We had a near-crisis for our daughter’s birthday and that’s bad enough considering no birthday parties are happening. Order several weeks in advance, especially for us Canadians who often have cross border shipping delays at the best of times.

I’ve ordered a lot of flour online from bakeries that are pivoting their business since local grocery stores are constantly out. Even restaurants are now leveraging their supply chain in order to offer groceries. Earls seems to have the best lineup of groceries, curated kits (protein, pantry etc.), family meals that you cook, or takeout. in Canada, we can now also order wine or beer on Skip The Dishes from most restaurants.

Another food retail-related item. Locally our farmers are having to dump their milk because of the loss from the restaurant and hospitality industry. This is incredibly sad for them. Cows need to be milked at the same rate they where before… moms who’ve breastfed understand what a bitch mastitis is. Because of this, the local mom’s group I’m a part of (for Coquitlam, BC) has been distributing free milk to all moms in need. As many gallon bottles of milk as you want! There are also other food industry donations happening in the same way so they are getting literal tons of fresh food to provide to moms or seniors in need, and then once they are taken care of anyone that wants stuff can pick items up on set days.

If you know of anyone in need in your area, maybe get them connected to mom groups and see if the industries in your area are also offloading food. This is such a tough time in all economic levels, but it’s acutely tough on low-income families or families that are now out of work.

I’ve used amazon prime to order some supplies but for non essentials, amazon prime delivery is delayed and showing April 26th as the soonest ship date.

On a positive note, Nordstrom Canada is now live! Those of us in Canada now have access to Nordstrom Canada distribution which means free shipping/free returns and no outrageous duties. The slight negative is that the .ca site has very little product in comparison to the .com, but I hope that changes over time. For my first order (ordered these joggers) the shipping was super fast and only took three days.

I ordered these Joggers for my first order. Love!
