The Lululemon Upload is live! As always, this is a live updating post so keep refreshing for the new content. The intro post gets updated last.Â
This weeks Intro
Two items I loved today, Blue Glow Hotty Hot Shorts, and the Heathered Prism Pink Swiftly SS 2.0.
This was a relatively small upload but there where some great picks here. Honorable mention goes to the new Inner Glow Shorts, and the Well Being Crew Sweater Linen. I’m also intrigued by Saddle Brown. I don’t love it in leggings for my skin tone but the color is such a great neutral for a sweater or hoodie, or a run jacket. I’d really love a Seek Vistas 1/2 Zip or On The Trails 1/2 Zip (with contrasting black zipper) in Saddle Brown. A neutral camel color in a run jacket would be so unusual!
This year the summer items have been pretty great. Normally I am much more a Lululemon Fall-Winter shopper and my interest wanes in the summer. This year I didn’t get too excited over the cozy Fall/Winter items and that may have been because of the transition from Lee Holeman’s ceremonious departure and the disruption that may have caused to production. We had some very light uploads over the holidays. This Summer though has been stellar for me. I am loving the colors and designs this season. I think it’s been that way for a lot of shoppers since we have had so many items selling out on upload day, just like ‘the good ol’ days’. This can be partially attributed to distribution/supply chain hiccups during coronavirus pandemic shut downs. Generally though, Lululemon has faired really well in that department compared to a lot of other retailers who’s supply chain has been really impacted. Lululemon has a spent the last few years heavily investing in the shopping experience, supply chain and distribution and it’s now paying off for them. They did have a hiccup with online return processing delays but I think that’s now normalized. I did an online return last week and it took just 3 days to process. Normally online returns take at a minimum 7 days for me (outside of covid). With the long store lineups and avoiding unnecessary outings, I have been opting to use online returns.
I am also loving the general attitude from the company during the past four months. Did you see Lululemon’s Facebook announcement yesterday about putting Facebook in the penalty box?
Another thing I’ve been really excited about? My content formatting changes. I don’t know why but adding my own creative touch to this digital space has been fun and exciting. Figuring out my branding and vibe and how to translate that into visual cues was a fun project. Learning how to execute was rewarding but also very frustrating. I hope you like the changes in the upload posts. I’d love your feedback on it. Does it work for you? Being aesthetically pleasing and visually cohesive is useless if it’s not functional for the end user, so please do let me know if something is not working for you or could be better. I have a few other changes coming soon, so stay tuned!

Lululemon Acquires Fitness Company
Lululemon has acquired Mirror, the At-Home fitness equipment and subscription company based in the US for $500 million, the company announced today.
Lululemon has acquired Mirror, the At-Home fitness equipment and subscription company based in the US for $500 million, the company announced today.Â
Mirror is a company that uses a ‘smart’ mirror to broadcast a subscription based workout platform. The cost of Mirror is $1495, with a subscription fee of  $41.53/month USD. This is not yet available in Canada but I am hopeful that with lululemon’s investment and purchase it will come to the Canadian market soon.Â
I don’t think this purchase could have come at a better time for Lululemon. During coronavirus, at-home fitness equipment sales have exploded along with all sorts of large home-improvement purchases. I don’t see this trend phasing out as the pandemic restrictions ease. Employers are seeing the ability and benefits of a work from home workforce and the work-force is seeing the quality of life benefits of an eliminated commute. The natural extension of this is working out from home more. Even if it means maintaining a real world gym membership, I can definitely see this as being a great addition to typical workouts, not a replacement.Â
Now that summer is here, buying any type of fitness equipment has become next to impossible. From above ground pools and trampolines, to Peloton Bikes and campers and trailers, it is virtually impossible to find brand new. Prices for used equipment has inflated to meet the demands. Â
Â
How have your workouts changed during the pandemic? Now that in many places the restrictions are easing up, are you changing back to your old workout routines? What new fitness lifestyle changes will you be keeping?
The Lululemon Upload is up! As always, this post is in progress. Refresh and check back often as I populate this post with what’s new at Lululemon today!
Not a huge upload today, which is to be expected on the last upload of the month, but I did order some items I’m really excited about. First, I got the Hotty Hot Shorts High-Rise Long in Prism Pink. I have these shorts in black and they are amazing. I don’t know why Lululemon limits this version of the Hotty Hot Shorts lineup. There was a a bit of a panic when the upload first went live because Canada was showing these shorts, but when you clicked on them they where out of stock. Eventually the sizes got populated and I was able to order. The second time I ordered was the Swiftly Relaxed Short Sleeve Tee in Dapple Dot Slate/Fuschia. You might remember my post from a few weeks ago when I found the long sleeve version in store and was magnetically attracted to the pretty confetti purple. It’s a seriously soft top and I’m excited it’s now available in a SS.
I haven’t ordered this yet but I am strongly considering the Inner Glow Short in Carnation Red. The Soft Ambitions High Rise is probably a better fit for me but I LOVE Carnation Red and I love a cotton terry short. Honourable mention goes to the LA Back In Action Hoodie in Mink Berry Canada didn’t get this otherwise I would have ordered it. Also thinking about the LA Back In Action Crew in Daydream. Both the crewneck and the hoodie have the same speckled confetti pattern which I love.

Mail Day! Lululemon Try-Ons: Shift in Time Jumpsuit, Energy Bra High Neck Long Line Shibori
It’s mail day!! Guys, I was hoping to return all of these items but I really like them a lot. Keep reading to see what my first impressions are of the Shift in Time Jumpsuit, Energy Bra High Neck Long Line Shibori.
Shift In Time Jumpsuit

When I placed my order for this jumpsuit I assumed I’d be returning it right away. Jumpsuits are a hard look to pull off for someone curvy-petite and with a very long torso. I don’t think I’ve ever tried on a jumpsuit before (and I pretty much always try them on) that has nailed the fit so well.
I ordered this in a size up, and although it’s nice and relaxed fitting throughout, for my body type I would not stay TTS. I don’t want any pulling anywhere as that’s usually where jumpsuits go wrong for me. Either they are loose in the top half and pull at the inseam, or they are too short in the top half and too baggy and long in the bottom half. This fits perfect!
The material is perfect! It’s not soft or particularly silky. This is a matte nylon trouser material with a 12% lycra stretch. It’s a light, breathable and crisp fabric that almost feels like a light thin poplin cotton. This is kind of like the ideal summer bed linen. Slightly rough cotton sheets are the best in the summer because they are so breathable and they don’t cling to your skin. (Look for percale sheets if you are shopping for linens!)
The zip front is genius. It makes bathroom trips super easy. I also really like the tie front. The waist cinch is needed to give me definition on an area that tends to look really elongated in jumpsuits. The cuffed hem at the ankles is great too because you can wear the pants higher, and fold over the top of the cuff.
This is a keeper for me and I plan to wear it with really pretty sandals and big sunglasses. It’s such a no brainer outfit that looks put together and stylish, but it’s essentially loungewear.

Energy Bra High Neck Long Line Shibori
White Grapefruit Florid Orange

After about 11 years of blogging I have accumulated a ton of sports bras. They are a practical purchase and an essential piece for any athletic woman. I have so many that I think I stopped buying sports bras three years ago and haven’t felt the urge to buy anymore. Until the Energy Bra Long Line High Neck showed up. These where a frivolous purchase based simply on loving the colors. I especially love the grapefruit shibori. It’s bright and VIBRANT. I ordered my usual size 10 and the fit is slightly snugger than my other Energy Bras, but then again they have been worn and washed a ton. They aren’t uncomfortably snug.
This is my first Long Line/High Neck Energy Bra and I really like the fit. The long line isn’t too long or tight that I’d notice a difference in feel between this and a regular energy bra. The high neck is a really great option for those days I don’t want my cleavage spilling out, especially with a lower cut or drapey tank top. What I most like though about this bra is how well that bigger profile will layer under tanks with looser armholes. I think this bra will pair really nicely layered under the grey Ease Of It All Dress.

What do you guys think? Did your orders come in yet? Let us know your first impressions of what you ordered on Tuesday.
By the way, check out the Lululemon inspired art I made! My kids wanted some typographical artwork for their bedrooms and being crafty I decided it should be custom and that they should pick out meaningful quotes instead of just buying whatever. After making theirs I decided to make my own for my coronavirus workout area as motivation/inspiration.

The Lululemon Upload is live! Check it out..Check out my fit reviews from last weeks upload here Align Wide Leg Crops, Soft Ambitions High Rise Short, Ease Of It All Dress and Neon Tie Dye Energy Bras.
Well now! That was another big upload. I knew a few weeks ago when we had about three weeks of very small boring uploads that we would be getting some exciting new pieces soon. Last week was a big order for me, and this week I added a few more items. I ordered the Energy Bra High Neck Long Line, and I ordered the Shift In Time Jumpsuit. Because of my long torso, jumpsuits don’t often work for me. I’m really curious to try this one and see how it does. – I’ll post a fit review when it gets here. There were many other items I was tempted to order but I will wait to see if they are are in store this week. The new Diamond Dye Aligns are beautiful!

New In Store! Neon Tie Dye Energy Bras + Align Wide Leg Crop in True Navy
New at Lululemon, a beautiful neon Tie-Dye Energy Bra High Neck Long Line and the Align Wide Leg Crop in True Navy. The Tie-Dye caught my eye immediately. Can you imagine an Align Tank in that pretty neon? Or Align Crops?
I stopped in at the Robson St. flagship store yesterday and they had an unusual coronavirus setup. They had a reservation desk set up outside the door and a reservation only system for entering the store. They had a lineup, but you needed to make a reservation to get inside so the lineup was for reservations. I happened to be there just when someone no-showed their appointment time and there wasn’t a lineup of other reservations waiting. This store seemed to have a regular inventory unlike a few of the other stores I’ve seen so I can see it being a more popular shop.

Align Wide Leg Crop In True Navy
These are my TTS, but I did get a chance to try on the black pair in a size up and I think I prefer the size up. Both work fine, TTS is absolutely fine, but the size up gives a bit of a drape over the hips which makes the pants feel more like gaucho pants. Normally I stay tts in align pants, crops and joggers.

Lululemon Fitting Room Reviews: Align Wide Leg Crop, Soft Ambitions High Rise Short, Ease Of It All Dress
It’s Lululemon Fitting Room Reviews day! Today was a big mail day for me. My husband retrieved my multiple bags off the doorstep and shook his head.
Before I get to the reviews, a note. I read some feedback earlier this week that the way I alter my photos in fit review posts is potentially making colors look less accurate. Thank you for sharing that! My goal for this blog is to be informative and useful. Specifically, the feedback was in regards to the LA Boyfriend Tie-Dye Hoodie post. I want to let you know that up until this post today I have never used filters, but I do adjust my photos for light balance. The LA Boyfriend Tie-Dye post was adjusted for light balance by hand on a particularly dark and dreary day that was really effecting the accuracy of the photos.
The three adjusted photos I have here are using a filter that I just purchased (a brightening neutral filter) and not hand adjusted individually like I normally do. I did this for aesthetics purposes and because all the rest of the pictures in todays post will not be adjusted at all. Normally what I do is brighten each of my photos on really dark overcast days. My house has grey walls throughout and a lot of shadow so I sometimes have to play with the light balanced so you can see the details and get what I think is a more accurate representation of the color. Sometimes it’s correcting a washed out photo, sometimes it’s correcting a lot of dark shadows. On my screen my adjustments may look perfect but your screen may be different. My selfie mirror is also situated so that I’m back lit unfortunately. Anyways, I hear you guys and agree that un-alted photos are most useful to you so I’m going to make sure I include them in every fit review posts from now on. I will also make a notation of altered photos so that they don’t get confused with unaltered.
I do want to keep some brightened photos in the headline photos and on the front page and at the top of posts – because frankly the aesthetics matter to me and usually the altered photos are more true to life than my un altered photos. I will make sure the post is formatted so the brightened photos are ‘headlines’ and the unbrighted are with the fit review information. I don’t adjust the colors, I don’t adjust for blemishes or skew the optics in anyway. My goal is to enhance for accuracy, not disguise or alter. Hope you’re all cool with that. Please let me know if you have more feedback, or any other suggestions. This community means the world to me and I appreciate so much that you not only follow this blog, but care enough about the content to let me know when something could be better. THANK YOU!

Align Wide Leg Crop *23″

I.LOVE.THESE. I don’t think these are ‘wide leg’ so much as straight legged. I’ve seen comparisons to the old Still Pants and I agree they are really similar, but so much better. Cropped wide legged or straight legged pants are tough on someone hippy but I find these really flattering because they are nice and slim in the leg, and streamlined around the hips. They are a little more ‘outfit’ worthy and slightly less casual than Align Joggers. I plan to wear these with a fitted square neck tank, and cute strappy sandals. These are my TTS and I like the fit, but I have ordered a second pair in a size up because I also want a pair that is looser fitting in the waist. The online photos show the black pair in a looser fit, and the violet verbena looks to be more fitted.

Soft Ambitions High Rise Short

The Soft Ambition High Rise Shorts are another winner for me. The price is unpleasant but they are a great fit and the material is really nice. Definitely an upgrade from cotton terry shorts or older versions of modal. This modal fabric is really soft and thick, squishy and substantial. It’s thickness makes it more structured than modal typically is. I love the length and the rise, and the wider legs. The dark grey shown here are my TTS and the light grey below is my size up. I think I prefer my TTS just because it’s a little shorter and narrower in the leg. The size up is really comfortable and not too big, but looks a bit more casual. I will definitely keep the TTS in the darker color, and swap out the lighter grey for my tts if I decide to keep two pairs.

Ease Of It All Dress

The Ease Of It All Dress is going to be returned, but not because I don’t like it. I like it a lot compared to every past Lululemon summer dress, but I don’t need it and don’t think I’ll wear it often enough to justify it. Not this year at least. I will definitely snatch it up on markdown.
I ordered this in my TTS and I think overall the fit is right, but I am self conscious that at certain angles you can see my mommy pooch a bit. It’s really flowy though and doesn’t cling, it’s just the nature of the material and possibly the lighting. The size up would correct that but then the length would be way too long and the shape overwhelming. I was pleasantly surprised that the armholes on this dress aren’t as huge as they appear online. You can see here that it mostly covers up my dark bra, although you can see it peaking out. With my arm raised you can see more of it as it pulls the armhole open, but standing naturally you don’t see much. I’d feel comfortable wearing this with a nice bra or a sports bra as a casual lounge dress. The other thing I worried about with this dress was that there was not enough of an a-line on this to give it shape. It’s subtle, but there is definitely enough of an A-line so that this doesn’t look like a sack. The racer straps go in just a bit and the ribbed cuffs give some detailing. I wish this dress was just a little bit shorter though. On me it’s practically full length.
The material is really nice. It’s modal but feels more like that stretchy vitasea cotton that Lululemon uses. It has an almost velvety texture like cupro.
If you plan on spending a lot of days by the pool this summer, definitely consider this.

Honourable Mention….
Swiftly Relaxed Long Sleeve 2.0
I was in store today doing returns and this beauty caught my eye. It’s stunning! I tried it on and it’s incredibly soft and pretty. I’m not sure if all the colorways are this soft and dreamy but this one certainly is. It came home with me. It was the lone size in store so if you spot one in your size, try it on!

The Lululemon Upload is here!
(I know a bunch of you are waiting to pounce on new Align Tanks. Nothing new spotted yet but here is the link for you to check for restocks).
What’s Good In This Lululemon Upload
Too many goodies today! I have been waiting for several weeks for the Wide Leg Align Crops to come and finally they are here! Those where my first items ordered today. Last week I got this Love Tee Fade in Sublimado Navy and it’s my all-time favourite Love Tee. My second order (only because it popped up later) are the Soft Ambitions High Rise Shorts. I know they are pricey but if you are curvy/petite and you struggle not only with shorts fitting well, but looking proportionately good, you know that good shorts are good shorts. It’s worth it to me to have a pair of shorts I feel good in. I’ll do a fit review once my order arrives later this week.
The Ease Of It All Dress has a few things going for it in my books. First off, it’s modal. Modal in a flowy cut has such pretty drape and it’s so soft. Second, It’s a loose fit and not body con. Lululemon has done so many body con dresses over the past few years and they just don’t work for me. Finally, it comes in Carnation Red which I love. There have been so few items in Carnation. I’m hoping we see a Love Tee eventually. I can’t wait to try this one on.
The Seek Vistas 1/2 Zip Jacket is also really pretty. I love the zipped collar and neckline. I have the Roksanda 1/2 Zip which has a similar neckline and overall aesthetic so I’m not going to buy this one, but I really like it a lot.
