Today in Coronavirus Trends: Lululemon Tie-Dye Hoodie! I’m surprised at how fast this arrived considering I ordered it yesterday afternoon. Lately most of my Lululemon orders have been delayed slightly due to the coronavirus bottleneck at the warehouses.

My Tie-Dye Sweatshirt just arrived and I really like it. I worried that I wouldn’t like the inner neck collar but it’s so thin and stretchy that you can easily tuck it down, or if you wear it up you don’t even feel it. I also think it adds a really What I love most about this hoodie is how velvety soft the inside is. It’s so cozy while still being a light-weight and thin. I ordered my TTS and it’s nicely oversized without being bulky.

I’m not much of a scuba hoodie person but I definitely love this style of oversized pullover hoodie. I think I will go ahead and order the matching tie-dye joggers now that I know how soft it is and how pretty the colors are against the white. I’m debating the Watercolor Wash Lunar Rock/Black/Larkspur. The white version is pretty light but in person you can tell it is a water-colour tie-dye print and not dirt stained.

What do you guys think? I know this tie-dye set was a bit polarizing in the Facebook group but there was an overwhelming majority that loved the pieces and ordered them and a few emphatic detractors.

Would I normally wear something this ‘out there’ as far as a print and style? No. In normal life I would be a little shy to wear something this whimsical and campy even if I did really love it. Sure I’d wear it at home, or on a road trip but not ‘out’ as an outfit. In Coronavirus times though this is exactly what I want to wear. This is comfort, and happiness in a clothing item.

  1. I love that water color wash! So pretty. I think that neck collar sets it apart from a normal hoodie. I don’t really care for a pullover hoodie though- crossing my fingers that they come out with a zip up hoodie! Can’t wait for you to do a review on the joggers!

  2. I really like it! Thanks for reviewing it. To be honest, it’s a piece I probably wouldn’t have taken a second look at. But, it cute on you!! I’m tempted now. Would you say that the lime color is a brighter sunnier color in person? Or is it a more muted color? I can’t quite tell.

  3. Obviously, I can’t see this tie dye print in real life, but on the pictures it doesn’t show that well. Big splotches, not too exciting or pleasing to the eye. I understand it’s a trend again. I lived through a couple of tie dye epochs and have no desire to live through it again, just like I don’t want to ever see a macrame in my house. But, if you are young, or young at heart, and the print is a novelty for you, sure, enjoy it. At least it’s not so obnoxiously loud as in those old times. Sigh. That’s the thing with getting old. Fashion is cyclical, everything will come back, with a few little modifications, to look fresh and covetable. I still like the stone washed items though that Lululemon offers. They are subtle and interesting.
