Did I forget to post these when I did the Australia upload post yesterday? or where these just added? I am swooning over these black grape fast and free tights. Thanks to Ms. K for messaging me to point them out. These will be an essential purchase for me because black grape will go with everything (yet still fun!), the material is seasonless and the cut is nice and streamlined.
Black Grape Fast And Free Tight
I’m excited to see some of the old bright retro Lululemon colors like Antidote and Black Grape (used to be Black Swan) and Magnum which is a really nice grey. Jet Stream and Marvel are nice as well but not my favourites. The upcoming Black Currant has potential for me. Although not for me, I’m also happy to see bright summer white bottoms to pair with colors. White luon/luxtreme bottom are pretty bold for Lululemon though – those need to be guaranteed opaque and I’m just not sure Lululemon is there yet with opaque tights.
I haven’t purchased anything today but I’d love to see an Antidote Swiftly Tech LS. I’d also may be be interested in White On The Fly Pants. I’m interested in the heathered black On The Fly pants but I don’t need them since I have solid black. I’d like to try on the Kindred Spirit Wunder Under Pants but I’m avoiding buying any more tights for the gym. Lululemon has put out so many tights over the past year and not enough tops/tanks so my purchases have mostly been bottoms.

Hotty Hot Short Black Grape and Magnum
Beware with buying these. I was so interested in them but seeing them in store I’m not getting them. They are very low quality modal and will pill and bag out and likely snag. In fact, the educators are letting customers know that these are intended to have a ‘worn in look’ after you’ve washed them. I’m more worried that the knit is so delicate that they will snag horribly. Read the reviews online for the crew neck and hoodie before Lululemon starts tinkering with deleting reviews and replacing them with 5 star reviews.
In the sea of white void of color items, the exciting thing are the green speed shorts we see revealed (antidote?) next to the Black Currant Swiftly Tech LS and SS.
Look at how beautiful the chartreuse shorts pairs with the Black Currant swiftlies.

I sized up in this tank because my TTS fit weird when it was tied in the front. It cuts too narrow around the shoulder and chest when it is tied in the front and looks like it’s on backwards. When tied in the back, the front of the tank looks better. On the scooped neck side, the hem is more of a draped, curved hem, which I think is flattering. Again, even on the scooped neck side, I thought the shoulders were cut in too much. Unless you wore a true racerback bra, you would have to adjust your front bra straps so it fit properly under the tanks straps. I liked the fabric. It’s similar to the Smooth Stride SS.
Turn About Tank, Luon Arrow Jacquard Wunder Under Crops
The WU in the arrow jacquard print is TTS. The print has texture but it feels smooth when wearing. The texture is on the outside rather than the underside. No problems with sheerness in my TTS. It’s a much thicker fabric than the Nulux. I really love this print. I was told that the Inspire Tight II in this print never made it to the stores in the US. So, even though it is completely sold out online on the US site, it should be arriving in stores soon. But this is different from what the GEC told me over the phone. She said the entire print in the Inspire Tight II is sold out in the US. She was uncertain if another run will be made.
Surprisingly, the Crescent Tank fit better than I thought it would and I didn’t hate it. I sized up from my TTS. My TTS was too cropped and it fit tighter than I liked. The fabric was light weight and very breathable. I suspect if you do any kind of movement, especially with arms up, it’s going to creep up a lot. Although I can see myself wearing this around town on errands, I wouldn’t spend that much money on a tank that would be ill fitting when working out. I know I would be constantly pulling it down.
Wunder Under Crop High Time Luon Arrow Jacquard, Crescent Tank
This short fit TTS (size 6 in shorts). In the Jogger, I sized up from my TTS because in pants like these, I like them more relaxed. My TTS fit so it’s really just a fit preference. Like the NTS Jacket, the cuffs are a bit tight the first time you put them on but they loosen up. The fabric felt nice and I liked the back zip pocket.
I suspected that I would not like the fit of the shorts or jogger because shorts/pants with pockets (such as these) tend to pull and pucker across the hips on me. Also, on me, the pockets show through the front of the fabric. It’s just my body type. It doesn’t matter what designer brand it is. With street clothes, I cut out the pocket and have them sewn down. I wouldn’t do that with athletic pants because you need pockets.
I just got this email informing me that the return policy has been changed to 30 days instead of 14. Great news!!
I’ve been told that the Non Stop Bomber Jacket has been pulled from stores and sent to head office and will not be sold at outlets due to design flaws. Apparently the cuffs, and the cuffed hem pill horribly. I’ve also seen reviews that the sleeves have come off on some of the jackets. If you own one that’s had issues, I’d give GEC a call and find out if they are taking them back from customers as well.

Just got back from my local Lulu store and tried on a few of the new items.
I was very excited about the Crescent Tank from the website, as I love the detail in the front. I tried in my TTS 10 which fit everywhere except length wise. Granted, I’m 5’9 so this too would be adorable in someone with a shorter torso, or someone who doesn’t mind showing off their abs. Not for me- I’ve got a bit more work to do in my
midriff area before I start showing it off!
Next, the More Than Modal Crew. Again, too short for me. My normal 10 was a bit loose on me and I have a feeling this will be a size down item for most gals.
Lastly, Fast and Free Tight in the new alpine white. I have to admit, this pant has me changing my prior dislike of the Nulux fabric. They are incredibly
comfortable, but the alpine white was sheer in the rear for me and unflattering. I also tried on Navy, which fixed the sheerness issue. I’ve got too much navy already so i’m hoping they come out with this tight in a different color or pattern that I love. I’ve heard some people say they size down in Nulu, however I tried these on my TTS 10 and they felt great. The only way to know for sure though is to run in them and see if they fall down, which I didn’t do!

I’m so very sad to report that this print is completely sheer, especially in my TTS. I sized up and it was still really sheer. The picture quality isn’t great but I think you can see my underwear in the backside picture. I tried to take a picture doing the bend test but none of them came out so you could see how sheer it is. In person, the pattern was beautiful. Because I loved the print so much, I was thinking of sizing up to an 8 but I decided against it. With the Nulux fabric I really have to stay TTS because it starts to stretch and slip. I haven’t had this problem with other prints which have a white underside. No problems with sheerness with the Concrete Jungle print in my TTS. Because of the sheerness factor, I have a feeling this will go to WMTM really quickly.
Fast And Free Tight Kindred Spirit Print
I’ll be back with posts later tonight with guest fit reviews, and details on the earning call that happened today. In the meantime I wanted to open up this post for comments now that the call is over and stocks have started to plummet. These are my comments which I left on my Facebook group.
Potdevin and Holman have arrogantly ignored customer feedback, eliminated the company culture and ethos by laying off ‘old guard’ talented employees and reorganizing, killed fan favourite designs en masse, eliminated colors and producing redundant colors (5 versions of navy), alienated customers, significantly raised prices while reducing value and functionality, killed the HeyLululemon feedback website (and the customer engagement that came with that). These results are no surprised and I’m sure it will get worse as we start hearing earnings results for the rest of 2017. Lululemon executives are nervous and the desperation is showing at store level. Enough with the buzz words Potdevin, ‘the collective’ (aka your employees) and ‘the arena’ (aka your former customers) are on to you.

Nothing for me today. I’ve been waiting for the modal pieces to upload and they finally did, but I most wanted the sweat pants which wasn’t included today, and I’m not sure I want the sweat shirt. I love modal, it’s one of my favourite fabrics, but it’s not a luxury fabric that you can’t find at H&M and Old Navy or the Gap so I really hesitate to get a plain nondescript hoodie from Lululemon at $108. If it had a more traditional Lululemon styling to it I would be all over it (longer length, cuffed hem, oversized lined hood, rushing down the back etc. etc). I’m also interested in the Fast and Free Crops but I need to try them on in store. I’m concerned that such a light print in the nulux will probably be sheer so I need to check them out first. I’ve been back to that Nordstrom Warehouse Sale a few times now (Vancouver) and I’ve found such great deals that I’ve blown through my spending budget – AG jeans for $35, Rag & Bone Boots for $79, Eberjey Pajamas for $9.99 – so truthfully my lululemon spending budget is just spent and that’s why I’m being picky.
