The Lululemon Upload

October 8, 2019

The Lululemon Upload is here!

Did you read my fit reviews last week? I reviewed the Still Lotus Wrap and Still Lotus Sweater.

Instead of waiting to see what new Lululemon uploads today, I just ordered this beautiful jacket. It’s a Pre Order so I won’t get it until December but I have been in LOVE with the one I got at the NSALE and I constantly get compliments on it. I returned the white one I had in favour of the grey/brown and really ended up regretting it. I should have kept both. This jacket is magic! See my try-on here, and some photos here and here.

This jacket is sold out everywhere and I just happened to find it on a pre-order option so jumped on it. If you’ve been stalking this jacket I highly recommend it.

On that note, here is the nicely timed Lululemon Upload

The Lululemon Upload

This is really cute! I’ve ordered this and will do a review as soon as it arrives.

Question – in your first Nordstrom review you didn’t like the Alo Yoga jacket. What changed? (I really like the look of it, but I’m short and curvy too)

  2. Cristina says:

It was outside of my comfort zone and felt bulky. Now that it’s gotten really cold in Vancouver the function of it has won me over, and now I very much appreciate the design. I think it looks adorable on. Like you I am short and curvy and just assumed it was too overwhelming to my shape so I shyed away from it. I get lots of compliments on it though.

I love that yellow colour on screen but I saw it in store and it’s got a brown cast to it…mustard not bright as it appears. So I save again this week.

I’ve been buying and returning a lot of stuff that hasn’t been available locally.

Too many clothes simply don’t fit right anymore. No more Speed Tights, no more Speed Shorts, and Dance Studio Pants III that pinch in all the wrong places … so I just don’t buy those types of items from Lulu. The only reason I’d spend $100 on a pair of leggings was that the cut was unreal. Now, not flattering. Sure the fabric and functionality are good, but if I shudder every time I go to put them on, it’s not happening.

Colors are much, much better than a few years ago. They’re definitely on an upswing, but the brand just doesn’t speak to me as it used to. It’s a mall brand. There’s no “heylululemon”, there’s no person touch to the clothes, like the hidden expressions, unexpected hints of color, and hidden pockets. With Ivviva being discontinued, those cute styles aren’t there to maybe, possibly influence the women’s line, so we can expect more boring, more safe, more knocking off Athleta.. The addiction is kicked.

I will say that in the shops I’ve been in lately, the GECs were exceptional. At least in my area, they still have that going for them.

And I’m not really complaining so much as observing that whatever that Lulu magic was wore off for me. Whatever drove that compulsion to collect is gone. It’s a good thing, but I’m a bit sad. I’m not alone. There was a real camaraderie among us Lulu addicts, but now, how many comments per week? 5? 7? And where is Luluaddict? No posts since July? It’s just a bit sad. Still, I’m glad to see the company successful and out of the hands of those nightmares who were running it into the ground a few years ago.

Maybe I shouldn’t have had that third glass of wine…

My very best wishes for health and happiness to you all.

I completely agree with RISE an SHINE’s comments I just don’t purchase Lululemon like I use to. I was also wondering about Luluaddict who hasn’t posted on her blog since July. She left without a word and I hope she’s OK. I can still find the odd piece from Lululemon but not like I use to when I wanted the whole collection when it came out. LOL we were crazy at one time walking up in the night to get online for the upload. Those days are long gone and at time I even forget about the upload. We’ve hoped for a long time that the “old lululemon” would return but I’ve given up….

I’m definitely buying less, but I still love my Lululemon leggings. My tops, jackets, and bras are from a variety of brands, but my leggings are exclusively Lululemon. The specific fit ( number sizing rather than the more generic XS, S, M, L, XL) and technical fabric choices make Lululemon my go to for leggings.

Thanks for answering my Q – I preordered the black and am really excited about it!

I tried the short and sweet Sherpa jacket on in store and had to have it! I usually wait for things to go on WMTM lately but this was worth the splurge! So soft, reversible and perfect fit. My store in NY had all three colors including the ivory but I opted for black

I still really love lululemon. I have tried many many other brands like Ultracor, sweaty Betty, outdoor voices, athleta, Tory Burch, Nike, 2XU, and a slew of others. Nothing fits the way Lululemon does. I’m a collegiate athlete and I require well fitting, functional, and very comfortable fitness wear. It also helps that the educators are so friendly and makes shopping so pleasant. I hate shopping and trying on clothes but those ladies and some guys in the store make the experience so much more enjoyable. I still spend quite a bit of money on uploads on a weekly basis. I find the brand so flattering. And well designed. I guess I’m a rarity among all the ladies who no longer love lululemon. The last upload was very expensive for me but that’s nothing new

Got the Wunder Puff jacket in grey/blue, it is indeed wunderful. The color and fabric is gorgeous, soft and light, seems well made, fit is great considering the puffer style (I went one size down), like the hood. I am a little obsessive about how the inner collar color coordinates to the outer layer (prefer it to be identical), but in this case the black inner looks nice with the blue. Ready for the 3-4 walks a day with our giant Newfie!

I love love it also! I’ll be getting a lot of wear
