The Best Cute Gym Bags

by Cristina

Time for a new cute gym bag? It’s been such a long time since Lululemon has made a great, printed gym bag. Over the past two years, they’ve made some nice, decent and functional gym bags but they just haven’t been fantastic like their pre-2016 bags which were really the Cadillac of gym bags in both style and function. I reviewed this cute gym bag a few months ago because I loved the color but I didn’t end up keeping it because of the issues I mention in the post.  The All Day Duffel is cute but it’s missing some of the design details I love.

This next one is not a gym bag, but I’m in love with it anyway. I am in love with this color. I have been known to use my Louis Vuitton Neverfull as a gym bag so this isn’t out of place for me in a gym bag window shop

If you are in dire need of a handbag purchase and are looking at great quality leather bags, I’d take advantage of this sale right now. I know that right when I need to replace a broken handbag, I am on a strict budget and the prices always seem to be way too high. These prices are fantastic though! The black bag in the gallery below looks a lot like the Givenchy Antigona bag

Camouflage Print Gym Bags from MZ Wallace

MZ Wallace Jim Bag
Jim Bag

I heard about MZ Wallace a few years ago when it got very popular on the Lululemon Facebook groups. At the time, the Paige Crossbody Bag was extremely popular as was the quilted tote bag for travel. I never considered looking at them for gym bags though and for some reason today I was inspired to look for a pretty camo bag and I found these. I love that MZ Wallace has a ton of different bag styles for fitness and that each bag comes in a ton of color options. I’m partial to the camo but I also love the metallic backpack, and the black.

This tote bag seems perfect for both travel and the gym. The Jim bag shown above is my top pick though for gym purpose.

I just bought a vooray duffle. I have several lulu bags and I don’t need a bunch of pockets. They almost have to many to be functional. I can’t find stuff easy. I bring my own resistance bands and foam barbell pad etc with me and just wanted a plain old bag to bring stuff into the gym floor in. The vooray was wide enough to fit the barbell
Pad. I am happy with it so far.

I just checked those out. Super cute! Chapters Indigo in Canada has a really similar style of bag as well and they are really great. Completely agree about the pockets.

Thanks for this super helpful post. I love your blog and it’s given me so many great ideas about shoes, makeup (and of course Lulu) over the years.

I totally agree with your observation about earlier Lulu bags — some newer ones are cute, but they never quite work for me and they lack special details. I also agree with the previous comment about the pockets. Although I personally need more pockets than KLO seems to, the pockets LLL designs now are frustratingly wrong for me in some way. (It’s hard to find things.)

In any case, I use backpacks frequently since I often walk to work and I need to pack up a change of clothes, Spin shoes and water bottles; therefore, a small pack won’t be large enough to hold everything, but since I am only 5’3″ huge packs overwhelm my frame.

Anyway, my absolute favorite Lulu backpack is not actually the best looking IMO, but it is by far the most functional for me. I reach for it so often that the inside is stained and the zipper is falling apart. It’s the Midnight Iris BACK TO SCHOOL from maybe 2013 or so. In any case, what I love about this backpack is that the outside pouch holds my makeup/toothpaste/sunscreen/brush perfectly — allowing me to quickly grab what I need to freshen up. Also, there are 2 bottle holders on the outside (exactly where they should be IMO) which are just the right size for my 500 ml one-and-only water bottle of choice, bkrs. Finally, the 2 main pockets are not confusing or too big/small as they were for me with later bags like the Urbanite.

BTW, if someone has an old Back to School in great condition, I may be interested. On the other hand, I may give the pretty quilted backpack a try instead. I LOVE the look of it. 🙂

Once again, I adore your blog!!!!

I know exactly the bag you are talking about. The Midnight Iris and Secret Garden Bags were absolutely stunning. I really regret selling my Ivy Bon Voyage Duffel Bag. I’ve purchased a few vintage lulu bags off ebay over the past few years but that one hasn’t popped up yet.

Thank you so much!! ❤️

Oh, yes, that Duffel was really pretty.

You are so welcome — you are a wonderful blogger! I love how you have adapted the content over the years.

I have a large collection of MZ WALLACE bags for gym and travel. I’ve been buying them for many years. They are light in weight and very stylish. I love how they include a generous size cosmetic bag with their large totes.

Thanks so much for the feedback. I had no idea they came with cosmetics bags.

Have you taken a look at Caraa bags? They’re all meant for gym and look really great! I’ve ordered their embroidered duffel but haven’t received it yet so can’t say if it’s as good as it looks, but if it is, they have a few other bags I’d definitely be eyeing (like their Cloud range of lightweight bags).
