Very ugly. I don't get it. Prints are the easiest part of design. Tons of labels have beautiful yoga pants that lack in fabric and cut. All Lulu has to do to compete is make some attractive new prints. It should be easy! This is like Austin Powers drunkenly puked all over. Not groovy.

Wow these may be the ugliest prints I've ever seen lulu make. This cheapens the brand in my opinion. I hope they've got something better coming for fall and winter.

Fug with a capital f! Side note – my Athleta vest came and the Medium fits perfect (the wild raisin color) and the Large was way too big (in the Cardamom Spice) – the colors are gorgeous and since we seem to have similar shapes I would say you are a Medium in that vest!! It fits snug but super flattering. Def keeping!!! Wish I could add a photo here but trust me – it's gorg!

What is that saying now… oh ya FUGLY!!! LULU stop getting your ideas from that not so cool Nike designer and get someone that knows and loves lulu and keeps up the original colors and cute styles that they used to put out! Please please pleasend stop putting out stuff that reminds me of Nike! If I wanted Nike looks I'd just go and buy Nike but I love the older lulu colors, prints and styles and will stick with you for awhile while I wait for you to change this disasterous design crew!! But I won't stay with you unless you get some good lulu designers back!! Just sayin! I've heard a lot of others say the same thing so do the smart thing and change your design team ASAP! !

Totally agree, but the company needs to understand that "stick with you" means continue to look at the clothes, not continue to buy them. I've never purchased Nike workout clothes and never would. I'm a woman; I like to look like one. I keep watching the uploads, but I'm not buying the new styles. With these prints and the continued killing off of classic styles, it'll be a long, long time before I'm spending money at Lulu again.

I'm not sure whether Potdevin has done a good job on the expansion or not, but his hiring decisions have been tragic. The male "digital strategy" (hah!) guy has been a disaster and the male Nike designer looks to be even worse. How about hiring someone who actually understands the brand and not just some guy who talks a good game. It's really put up or shut up time at Lululemon.

Ugh. Honestly, I have some very cool Nike's, so I won't make that comparison. It's like Kmart to me. No artistry to it, just big sprawling pattern and terrible color blends. No nuance. Happy to not like them, though. Saving my $$ for Werkshop — my favorite brand for fit, compression and artistry.

Ok, let's stipulate that the latest releases for the last couple of weeks/months have been at best, very, very disappointing. I hate the excessive mesh just as much as the next gal. And i miss the details that Lulu used to have. The last thing i bought were the hotty hot shorts 5 months ago. And I agree that much that has been put out is really, really boring and plain. All that being said – I don't think it's fair to single out one individual – the aforementioned former Burberry, former Nike exec Lee Holman – who has been with Lulu since 2014. Unless there is someone from corporate who can tell us about the decision-making that goes on with the design team and/or its recent hirings firings within staff, I don't think it's fair to blame it on one guy who used to work at Nike and has been with Lulu for the last two years. Lulu has come out with its fair share of ugly and great, just as Nike has come out with its fair share of ugly and great. It's not a designer house with one guy in charge ( a la Karl Lagerfeld or Tom Ford or Carolina Herrera, etc. In those instances, yes, if ugly stuff comes out, its fair to blame the designer since his or her name is on the label. But Lululemon is not a fashion house with one guy/gal in charge of all the designs for women.

Lulumum, can you shed any light on this issue of Mr. Holman's impact on recent designs???? Thanks in advance for all you do!

Concur with the rest of the board on the absolute fugliness.

@Mirielle 6:23, well that's nice of you to be so supportive and diplomatic.

Unfortunately, Lee Holman cannot be involved and at the helm in some way, since 2014, and not be responsible in a very heavy way for the offerings and direction LLL has taken (see hooker looks/overkill on mesh). That is why they hire these people. They are the alleged best and are supposed to possess vision and the highest level of creativeness. Sure, there's also sign-off by additional people. Those who clearly have no clue either. I can already tell you that thus far, in his tenure, Potdevin has no taste or clue.

On the designer house comment – LLL has recently done a lot of neutral or "dark" offerings and are claiming inspiration by design house Dior. And now this. What do you even call this but retro and wardrobe stylist for an Austin Powers movie.

Talk about hella design ADHD, no vision, no innovation!

As I've said on lulu addicts blog when the Dior comments where referenced, I see more Moschino than Dior in their latest offerings.

It's a dead ringer for Emilio Pucci IMO. Not a fan. Too busy.

Ouch! Pucci is much more attractive. Plus, Pucci was original. This is horrid, Austin Powers stuff.

The only print I thought I might be interested in checking out was the black and white one. But, I have the Dottie tribes and picked up the B/W paisley high times ( love) and just got the city trek pointe pants. Plus got the ceremony Pull overs in black and blue so I have picked up some goodies lately and glad none of these new offerings coming up are even remotely tempting. Also I was at the Niagara on the lake outlet today and they are doing warehouse prices. I picked up the Alberta lake reflective vest for $49! ( I missed this last year as in the process of ordering it they shut down the online warehouse ) lots of great offering also got a pair of the green so butterfly print WU's pants for $49. All stocked here! I think all the Oulets are doing this Fri, Sat and Sun this weekend. ( Sept 22,24,25th) they had a ton of stock!

I think they're going to have to keep doing it. The backlog of sale items is enormous at this point. They can't keep blaming this on pipeline issues. People don't like the new direction. It's pretty much that simple. Sure, Lulu always had some duds – if you ask me, the whole &Go line – but there's a ton of product that people are put off by at this point. When does this finally come back to bite leadership? I don't know who's on the Lulu board, but they need to step up and see that poor design is costing the company a lot of money and Potdevin needs to fix that. It would be one thing if it was just one or two seasons, but there's been a steady decline for years. Time to stop making excuses and take action.

Agreed!! I went to an outlet party on Friday morning. The place was packed. People were buying huge arm-loads of clothing. I stood in the checkout line for a good 25-30 minutes. I went back yesterday, just to see. The same thing, store was packed, lots of people buying. The educator told me it has been crazy all day. But there was still SO MUCH product. There was only a slight difference from one day to the next, like I noticed a couple colors were lower in the swiftly area or the underwear bin wasn't quite as full. I was told they still had boxes to open. I'm guessing they will have to do another big markdown soon.

Isn't Florence Colson one of Lulu's new print designers? She designed the flowered print on the cycling kits a few years back and is now on the team full time. I can see the Mossimo reference, but not liking it. Ugly.

Ok makes sense now different designer, I thought since they switched over to the awful version of website that there is just nothing exciting in products now. No colour. All the bags are black. The thin sheer shirt material is a turnoff too. At the trunk shows there is nothing either. Barely bought anything in the last year and not coveting anything at all.
