Todays Lulu Adventures

I received my Modern V neck T today that I had ordered on Thursdays upload and instead of getting the light grey one I ordered I received the Oatmeal colored one. Although I do love that one, I have it already.
I ‘d read someone else complaining about this issue on facebook yesterday and wondered if I would get the correct one. The issue was in the tagging of the T and not so much a website issue. If this happens to you I think Lulu does take care of that if your away from a store including the shipping. I happen to be fortunately (or un according to Mr. Husband) up the street from Coquitlam Centre so decided to pop in and see if they had any Lolo Purple Scuba hoodies and return my Modern V. I’m not looking to buy the Scuba but wanted to see the color non the less. I didn’t see any there but there was a girl trying on the hoodie in Alarm and the ribbing looked super flattering on her. I’ve read that the ribbing makes this a tighter fit than the regular remix and that you should size up but I was having some hot flash issues at the moment and couldn’t bring myself to try one on myself for you. My issues with the regular Remix is that it’s a very boxy fit and it’s shorter in length. It’s a cult classic here in Vancouver so I own a few but the weather is much too mild for me to get much use out of them. I much prefer the look of this fit than I do  the Remix, but dare I say that I don’t much care for the grey on it? It’s true, I don’t. I know everyone seems to love it but I wish this was just a remix with ribbing on the side and the longer length and either one color or multi colored without grey.

Other than that there was not much new at Coquitlam. Noteworthy though was that they had moved a whole lotta stuff out of the way. The store was looking mighty empty and at least 3 or 4 displays were gone. I think they must be expecting a large shipment any day now and I can’t wait to get my hot little hands on some new running stuff. I have all of my comfort clothes I need and now it’s time for business attire – running clothes, so that I can turn my 6km runs into 10km runs.

*Facebook verdict on the new Scuba hoodie fit seems to be: Stay true to size unless you have a larger bust and broader shoulders. This is a form fitting hoodie so If you go up one size it wills still be form fitting much like the WWA. I sized up on my WWA and even after loosing weight it’s still form fitting on me.

I See Why It’s Called Static Wave Stripe

by Cristina July 19, 2010
written by Cristina

Every picture I’ve seen of this print seems to make this weird wavy optical illusion. I wonder if that was intentional. I think the only thing I’ve seen not do this is the Stride II. Does not look like this in person. In person it looks more like it does on the Lululemon.com website.

Bon Voyage Duffel

This is a nice substantial bag. I love the satiny pillow look with the rushing on the front. I also love the little rubber Lulu logo’s on the newer bags and the nice dark metal hardware. This one is going to be gorgeous in the purple. I wonder if the yoga mat straps can be tucked away and hidden when not in use or if it just dangles when you r mat is not in it.

Update!

by Cristina July 19, 2010
written by Cristina

I tore the tags off my Wunder Grooves in Wish/Black and am wearing the Wish side out today (I am at home though)! Along with my Dark Grey Modern V neck. It’s a bit cooler out today so I thought I’d seize the day and wear a crazy color that makes me feel happy.

Fouette Tank

by Cristina July 18, 2010
written by Cristina

I stopped in at Park Royal today on our way to Ambelside to see if they had the Lolo Purple Scuba Hoodie but they didn’t have it in just yet. I did see the Fouette Tank in Citron and Black.  It had some cute detailing in the front that I liked but I wasn’t really all that interested in it because it was too close to the Gather Dance Strap. This one is probably easier for most people to wear where as the Dance strap had the cup issue for people with larger breasts (spill over) and also for me it was a little finicky getting the dance strap on and adjusting the straps to get them to sit nicely so I like the simplicity of the Fouette tank.

As far as the current color palates of Alarm and Oasis, although I do like those colors and Alarm is very flattering on I wish Lulu either had more new items in Wish/Pig Pink or the upcoming Lolo Purple. I can’t believe the amount of color changes that have happened over the last two or so weeks. First we got Wish, Pig Pink and Citron, then we got the greys and stripe patters, then the quilted patterns with the greys, Alarm and Oasis and probably this coming week Lolo purple, Senorita Pink and Citron. Crazy the amount of color changes that happen with Lululemon. Almost hard to keep up with them. I think that’s why I feel so drawn to the greys. It’s much easier to commit to greys, whites and blacks because they work with every other color that transitions so quickly. I think I’m on a color strike now (except for Wish) because I usually fall in love with every color that comes out.

Picture of the Long Sleeve Pima T-Shirt

by Cristina July 17, 2010
written by Cristina

This is a pretty accurate picture of the long sleeve. I think it’s TTS and has a similar fit to  your short sleeve Pima Shirt, unlike the Modern V-Neck. The cotton is pretty thin and silky too which is nice if your layering  but keep in mind that the white can be a bit sheer which I’ve found with my short sleeve.

Real Life Photo’s of Light Up Skirt

by Cristina July 17, 2010
written by Cristina

The skirt seems to be poofier than Run: Tracker Skirt which is currently in Loot. The bonus I guess is in the chamois and the inner pocket and the reflectors. I also think this one is an inch or two longer so I wonder if these can be worn a little flatter for more leg coverage or poofier if you like it that way.

Extended Version of Sneak Peek Video

by Cristina July 17, 2010
written by Cristina

This is a 10 minute long video that’s worth watching all the way through,  particularly up till just before the six minute mark (approx) and the last 2 minutes. Noteworthy is a Special Edition Cool Racerback in Lolo purple (?) with a mesh back (looks like the back is mostly mesh or half mesh), and a brand new material tank (circle mesh blended with silveresence) made to fit over the Tata tamer, this tank looked like River Rock. Also there was a Pima t-shirt with a black body contouring print on it which I didn’t much care for very much. I would love to see a Pima with the prints they had last year with the orchid, dancer and the bird. Those were beautiful and I never got the chance to get one. The last bit of the video shows 2 new bags, one in the color Ivy which is so pretty (army green but more saturated and green) and another huge bag in Purple (Dahlia maybe?) that reverses into a smaller bag. That is an engineering marvel of a bag I tell yah!

Thanks to my Anonymous reader for pointing me in the direction of this video 😀
