Iconic Wrap
I so wish I would have liked this…
The idea of it is great. Pima Cotton, long sleeve to layer over tanks, and short so that it’s actually like a shrug. So complicated figuring out how the heck to put it on because it’s all one continuouse piece so I asked for help and the Educator had just then figured out how to put it on. She had to bunch it up first and then put it on over my head for me. When it’s on, the whole top part bunches up around you in a poofy way. Looked cute on…but not what I want in a shrug. And the kicker is that the price for this lovely is $88!!! Yikes.
New run top made with luxtreme and silveresence. this is not a combination of the two fabrics as I had thought (wasn’t that what she meant in the sneak peek video?) yes it is. Silverescence/Circle mesh combo is the Oasis portion and the grey paneling is Luxtreme.
It seems to me that this is the new style of top that fixes the issue with the old style of swiftly (large armholes). I saw the new Alarm and Oasis Swiftly’s and I’m sure that they are identical to the old ones and have the same arm openings (which I don’t mind at all). This new top is mostly Silveresence with some Luxtreme panels in it. Looking at it I thought it would be too short for me as I have a very long torso but when I had it on it actually looked very nice on. I would get this in a 10 or even a 12 for a looser fit because the 8 is form fitting. The colors for me didn’t do it and I’m hoping this comes out in that pale blue color from the video (aruba?) because I really liked that color. Now that I know this is much nicer on than in the pictures i’ll maybe end up getting that one.
Run: Reflection vest.
See, this is the citron stripy pattern which is slightly better than the alarm but not by far. It is so overwhelming on that it wore me, I didn’t wear it. I also think you may need to size 1 up on this but I’m not too positive. I tried on the 8 and the pleats at the back did not sit properly on me and the vest was tight around my chest.

Run: Reflection Jacket.
Not liking this at all. To be fair, I love that it’s reflective but the pattern on this is not at all to my liking. I also don’t like running jackets with hoods that flap when you run. This jacket came in this Alarm stripy pattern, A citron stripy pattern (nicest of all I guess) and I think it was a coal and black stripy pattern. I think I’m sticking to my Running Room, purely utilitarian jacket for running. My Running Room jacket is thin and light where as this one felt pretty heavy on the hanger.
Dance Crop
$78 for these super cute crops made of what feels like thinner Luon (not stated on the hang tag) cinchable cuffed bottom. This is a medium rise (thank goodness) and you can apperently roll down the waist but I really don’t see how. The waist is not at all substantial like other Lulu pants that can be rolled down or even as supportive as the Wunder Grooves so who knows if these will stay in place. Still deciding if I want or need to keep these. I’m really a sucker for the cuff at the bottom though.
*Just tried these on again and I love them. You can roll down the top actually but it’s not like the Stills. It’s a very thin seamed waist so even when you fold it down you can’t see it through your shirt. No muffin top too!
Sounds like a promising day today. Metro got the new running products in. I’m off to Coquitlam today for a play date so hopefully they have the new products too! and hopefully the new products includes the Run Pullover.
this is what Metro posted on Facebook:

lululemon athletica Kelowna Come check out all of our new product today!! I mean tons!! So FUN!!
I like these pictures Lulu added with models that have faces and posing with entire outfits in the “Meet Our Roots” section of the website. I get the reason they use the faceless model pictures in semi-profile and forward facing positions to showcase the details of a particular item but these shots are more compelling. Almost as much as the Facebook pictures. What I like about the Facebook albums though is that those are real life people that are in one way or another athletic -not that this lovely lady isn’t. They come in a range of sizes from 2-12 and have curves in different places and different considerations in how they wear the clothes, just like us. We also get to see them wearing outfits that they put together. If I’m wondering if the Rock Out pants are too low rise for me I go to Facebook and find it there not the Lululemon website. Incidentally, I know for a fact that those are too low rise for me because I have a big ol’ butt and I need more coverage. Anyways, my point is that I love this new addition to the website and I hope that they incorporate some really athletic girls with big muscular thighs and bums, just like on their shopping bags and some larger chested women as well so that we can see the fit of tops and sweaters.

Everyone has been dying to see a picture of this beauty and here she is. Alas, one without the color blocking grey and with the prettiest color of them all. I know a few ladies that will have 3 new hoodies very shortly. Now I’m happy because although Alarm and Oasis are very pretty, the combination of the two colors in this pallet is not suiting my mood these days so I haven’t gotten anything yet.
*There are apparently 2 Lolo hoodies. One is Lolo detailing on Grey (possibly color blocked) and distressed for $128. This one is the $98 one.

I really like the idea of reflective swift, especially since it’s so thin on the run skirts…I just wish they could make a mid-thigh length running short in the same swift fabric so us girls with bigger thighs can wear something cool and reflective as well without worrying about chafing. something the length of the Do it All short would be fantastic but with the sportiness of the running shorts.

Oh my goodness, I convinced my friend who was in search of a new diaper bag that she needs to get this duffel (more because I want to be able to visit with it) and she fell in love with it from the link I had sent her. Now I think she will convince me tomorrow when we go to pick one up that I need to bring one home too. eek, these pictures aren’t helping me stay strong at all. Something about all of that satiny color is so enticing.
