Isn’t this beautiful! I wasn’t sure I totally loved the Teal Zeal version with the quilting but I quite love it in Wish Blue. Check out the October Oprah magazine, there is an article on the latest color trend which is true blue and there is a great photo spread with tons of Wish blue.

New Pictures Up

Swiftly LS in Lilac, also available in Teal. I’m loving this Lilac.
And Teal Zeal in the picture bellow. It’s a little too close to the Lagoon Swiftly LS I already have but the Lilac version is different from all the ones I’ve seen so far.
Teal Zeal Stride. This color looks very green in person.
This Stride in the Space Dye is very flattering on.
Scuba Hoodies. The lolo is contrasted with Powder Purple. There distressed Scubas so the price is $128.

Lilac Push your limits.
Power Y tank in Lilac Spacedye. Gorgeous in person.
Quilted Nylon Bon Voyage Duffel.

Price Increase for the new Strides

by Cristina October 4, 2010
written by Cristina

These new Strides are priced at $118. The last batch of Strides were all priced at $108. No special features have been added to these except perhaps the Lilac Stride is brushed luon on the inside but that has not been priced differently in past designs that have been brushed luon (static wave stripe from July). So what do you fellow Stride lovers think of that?

**to clarify, the Lilac Stride on the right is brushed luon and the Grey striped one on the left is not brushed luon. Both are priced at $118. I will update you here if the non brushed luon was a pricing error.

lululemon jacket women styles for winter – the pinnacle jacket in green

The lululemon jacket women style called the pinnacle was one of the first down jacket designs from the brand. Ths luluemon jacket sale price was $300 and it was released in October 2010.

lululemon winter coats are now plentyfull each season but in 2010 it was a lone down coat style for women.

  • water resistant
  • wind resistant shell
  • cozy oversized hood
  • custom fit – slider waist
  • interior secure pocket

This lululemon coat color is ivy green which was a very rare and coveted color. There was also an ivy green duffel bag. You can see the matching ivy green gym bag here in my lululemon guide.

For more current options for winter coats, check out lululemon’s 2022 collection of winter gear right here! I’ve gone ahead and updated this post for you just in case you where shopping for a jacket and where dissapointed to see the Pinnacle is long gone and unavailable.

Lastly, the The Wunder Puff Long Coat is lululemon’s most current coat style for winter. I have it in pink! It has been out the past three years in a row and it’s wildly popular. Here are some colors of the Wunder Puff Coats from this year (2022):

Bikram’s I Missed You!

by Cristina October 4, 2010
written by Cristina

Tonight I went back to Bikram’s for the first time in over a year. My last Bikram’s class was when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter and of course could not continue with the torture chamber. Lately I’ve been feeling really stressed out and unbalanced and I know that’s been due to the fact that I haven’t been able to take time out of my stay at home mom roll very much and it’s been really hard finding the time to run. I’ve maintained my minimum of 3 days a week of running but I’ve cut corners when I was short on time and I’ve really noticed a decline in my endurance and also a decline in my patience. It shouldn’t be so impossible to carve out 3-4 hours a week for a break but for some reason it has been. So now I’ve decided that I need to do Bikram’s on Sundays in addition to my 3 days a week of running and this should keep me a bit less frazzled and a much happier mommy. When my first daughter was born a lovely Jamaican nurse at the hospital had lots and lots of wisdom to share with my husband and I. The one that stuck out the most was “ain’t momma happy ain’t nobody happy” said in a heavy Jamaican accent of course.  So I’m following nurses orders on this one and TAKING time to myself to recharge.

First class back was pretty awesome actually. I happened to meet a girl in my class who was on day 22 of a 30 day yoga challenge and low and behold she’s an educator at my local lulu store. She recognized me from my frequent visits so we got to really chat about lulu clothes which as you know I like to do. The instructor was really great (and very, very nice on they eyes) and helped point out alignment corrections often which I like. The class was on the hotter side of hot (compared to other classes I’ve been to) and the doors remained closed the entire class. that kind of sucks because I like to plant myself in the back nearest the door so that when kind teachers open the door for a few seconds I get an uninterrupted draft. I had to rely on my mental image of the polar bear swim this time when I was feeling lightheaded. I was able to do all of the poses except for camel which for some reason I have a real aversion to. I took it easy on myself  for the first class though and my goal was really to be comfortable in the heat for the entire time. I prehydrated with about 1lt. of water and a juice box of coconut water and some cliff blocks (I know, overkill on electrolites) and had 1.7 lt. of water during class. I was very nervous about keeping hydrated and electrolited as I’m nursing so I don’t want to compromise that but I’m quite pleased that I didn’t have a headache at all after class or feel dizzy so I must have had the right balance of electrolytes and water. Today I’m really sore in the shoulders and neck but in a good way, as though all of the muscles are re-engaged and not like I’m about to have a neck spasm.  The only disappointment about the class was that the silly dialogue wasn’t really used and I feel I need that to distract myself and keep me from feeling too serious when going into poses. Somehow when your doing a forward bend pose being told to fold yourself like a Japanese ham sandwhich really gets you to lighten up and relax.

The Newest Winter Items and Colors

by Cristina October 3, 2010
written by Cristina

Push Your Limits in Plum and looks like Static Plum straps or Space Dye.  Gorgeous color and almost burgundy or winey. Also available in Lilac and Teal Zeal (look to post bellow in the headbands as I think those colors in the picture are Teal Zeal/satin headband and Lilac/braided headband).
**updating as pictures show up.

Groove Pant featuring the new color palate of Plum, Wish, Teal Zeal, Space Dye Plum.

Groove Shorts in Wish and Static

Lilac & Lilac Space Dye. I used to hate space dye print but this is gorgeous.

Astro Pants. Love this Lilac print and hope to see it in a Cool Racerback tank.

Scoop Neck tank in Teal Zeal Space Dye. Not so much for me.

Oh my…I need to have both of these Strides. Daze Space Dye and Lilac/Coal

*** just found out the Lilac & Coal version and a few other Strides (Black for sure) will be brushed luon. The Lilac may be actually called Haze but I’m not 100% on that just yet and it may be another Stride alltogether. The Coal/Space Dye  will not be brushed luon. Also, these Strides have been updated from the last batch and do not have ribbed luon so should not have problems with the arm stitching coming undone. I’ll still be sure to inspect these when they come out and let you know what I see.

Everywhere Gym Bag in Leather. Wish Blue on far left and Teal Zeal on Right.

Fast in Flight Tote in a more matte finish, Teal Zeal. Puffy quilted nylon.

Run: Brisk Arm warmer Review

by Cristina October 3, 2010
written by Cristina

Last night I went for a 7km run and used the Run: Brisk Arm Warmers for the first time. I’m rather late getting on the arm warmer band wagon as I’ve never felt a need for them, but now that I have two great tee’s (Swiftly in Lolo and Personal Best Senorita Pink) to wear and the weather is a bit cooler but not quite cold enough for a jacket I thought I’d give them a try.  I wore my black arm warmers with my Personal Best SS in Senorita Pink and loved them right away. as soon as it got too warm I was able to pull them off and loop them through the toggle on the Personal Best SS and cinch it up tight and I felt no movement at all with them while I ran. I was quite pleased at being able to stash the arm warmers so easily on this top as I don’t always (or even usually) wear my hydration belt in cooler weather. I hope Lulu keeps adding these toggled cinch cords to there running tops as I find them really useful and cute. My I Just Wanna Run Tank has that too and I love that I have two different ways of wearing that top, either short and bubbled around the middle or pulled all the way down. The little fabric loop attached to the toggle keeps it from flopping around all over the place while you run. The arm warmers have a really great reflective strip all the way down the back of both arms and I think it’s my favourite reflective design as it’s the most visible to drivers. I wish it could be added to some of the other long sleeve tops. the things I would change about the arm warmers (for the sake of constructive criticism) is that I would like them in running luon and not standard luon and perhaps thinner luon. I felt it was slightly bunchy and thick around the inner elbow and not the coziest feeling arm warmers. maybe even a static luon would be nice. I also wish there was a bit of a biased cut to the upper arm portion so that it’s shorter in the underarm and longer on the top part of the arm where it meets the shoulder.  That would make it more comfortable to the arm pit area while running. Over all, for $28 it’s a great add to my running gear collection. I wont get a ton of use during the year but it’s nice to have as an option when I want to wear a tee in cooler weather.

New Headbands and Hint of Next Colors

by Cristina October 3, 2010
written by Cristina

Here is an interesting picture showing some new skinny satin headbands with a new Wish colored one and two other blues, perhaps Oasis and Lagoon. The scuttlebutt on facebook is that Space Dye print is back (50 Rep Bra) along with Wish Blue (yippee) a new purple called Plum (Push Your Limits and Scoop Tanks) and some new Strides in Daze and a Wish Blue Everywhere Bag. I wonder if the new Strides have been re sewn to prevent further fraying issues as the last series of Strides have had. I have two of the Strides from that release (Lolo and Static Wave Stripe) and so far I have not had that issue with them but I am keeping a close eye.

The headbands on the bottom of this picture look a lot like the braided luon headbands from the lab from this past summer. I like the pale purple one and I have a feeling that it’s Magic Mani, the new purple that looks like Power Purple.
And a River Rock Define that I don’t think I’ve seen before.

Pinnacle Jacket Detail Pictures

by Cristina October 3, 2010
written by Cristina

This jacket reminds me a lot of the white coats worn at the Vancouver Winter Olympics by the volunteers that distributed the medals. I haven’t been able to find a shot of that bell shaped jacket yet but I know it was designed by Aritzia and not my imagination. Or is it? I’ll post here if I can find that jacket.

**Found it. Here is the Winter Olympics Coat it reminds me of.

Here is a good shot of the belt buckle on the Pinnacle Jacket. The clasp is the same mechanism as on the newest Travel Pooches which is nice because it’s a quick on off without excess belt material hanging off, but the negative is that you would probably not want to wear this with the buckle undone. As you can see you have a logo on the hardware but also on the shoulders.

Removable hood and logo detail on the shoulder.
Large brimmed hood.
