Push Ur Limits Tank Sprinkler Blue/Ikat

Push Ur Limits Tank Push Ur Limits Tank Alternate View

I saw the Urban Yogi Messenger Bag today in Sprinkler contrasted Ikat print and really liked it. The print has a bit more depth to it with a lighter contrast color then the Concord Grape version. This Push Ur Limits tank has about as much Ikat print as I would like in a top so despite the fact that I’m ikat’d out, I’m not hating on this tank at all.

New! Get Focused Tank

It’s so hard to see the details on the bust of this tank in both the black and the Ikat.

Fit Review ~ Run Swiftly LS and a Review From Oz For The No Show Running Socks

by Cristina February 11, 2011
written by Cristina

Today was my first opportunity to wear my new Run Swiftly Tech LS on a run. It was about 4* today but super sunny so despite the chill in the air my beloved Hustle Jacket was just too warm to wear today. I wore my Swiflty Tech without a Cool Racerback underneath and it took me about 5 minutes to warm up enough to no longer feel chilled and I was happy with my wardrobe choice for a shortish 3 mile run. I’m really happy with this swiftly. I’ve had the long sleeve before from the made in Israel batch and there are definitely differences between the two. Here is my initial Fit Review of this Black Swiftly Tee.

Today, the long sleeve performed very well and wicked away sweat just as well as my old Lagoon one. perhaps better. I did notice it was warmer and softer then my old version which worked for me since it was chilly out. I find it a lot more like the mens Metal Vent Tech Tee in thickness now which is nice since I sometimes find certain colors to be too thin and unflattering on my less then smooth areas. The extra thickness is nice for camouflage and warmth. I don’t know if I can vouch for all of the Sri Lanka made swiftly’s as I always find the different colors fit me differently but I am very happy with this one and may consider getting another one.

Thanks so much to Melissa in Melbourne Australia for sending these images of the Ultimate No Show Running Socks. She wore them today and said she was really happy with the comfort and that they didn’t slip at all. She really likes the little lip at the back that prevents slipping.

I have a pair of the Ultimate Running socks and when I got them I was really disappointed because I thought they were No Show and it turns out they weren’t and that looks really bad when you have short legs and are wearing crops so I hardly ever wear them now.  I’ve been using my Featherweigtht socks and really like them, especially in all the fun colors and prints, but they lack the cushioning and warmth of the Ultimate Running Socks. I’m excited to try these when they come out and really want to get the orange pair Melissa is wearing here. My runners are similar coloring to hers (mine are the New Balance 1080) and the combination of the orange socks with blue runners is really appealing to me and looks super cool ;p. I know it seems silly and frivolous but I assure you I’m all about fashion AND function, not just fashion. Some of the time (more like most) I grab whatever socks are clean and end up wearing mismatched skittles colored socks anyways.

Pure Balance Tank

by Cristina February 10, 2011
written by Cristina

I’ve decided I have a serious crush on this new Pure Balance Tank. It’s sooo pretty and romantic. Wouldn’t it have been nice to see this in red for Valentines Day? I think I’m going to get the Black because it’s secksi but Lulu Addict posted a picture of it in White and I also love that one.

Not much exciting.

Cabin LS Tee Sprinkler Shadow Gray Tropic Stripe was just uploaded.

Run Pace Setter Skirt

I really think this is a cute skirt. I’m not sure how I feel about running in a skirt so I’m waiting to try it on in store. It’s really adorable though.

Did you buy anything today?

Upload Thursday Eve

by Cristina February 10, 2011
written by Cristina

My only wish for tomorrows upload is an appearance of the new Rubber Ducky Scuba Hoodie with ‘soft lavender’ contrast. I will be so upset if it ends up being a special edition pillow scuba because I want just a plain and simple scuba with plastic zipper, gimmick free. Also, I’d love to see the Sprinkler Hot Class Tank but I’m not sure that will be uploaded this week. It’s been a pretty slow week in stores as far as products released so I’m not expecting too much tomorrow, although once again the mens items were uploaded this afternoon so you never know.

Last weeks facebook tease about special online only items was a pretty big letdown with only the Passion Crops and Oasis Wraps uploaded. Especially since those ‘online only’ items were found in stores and showrooms in the same colorways throughout the week according to several reports. I would have thought that a tease like that would have lead to a more grand upload. Oh well, I’m keeping my expectations low this week. I fully expect the two items I’m after to not get uploaded tomorrow.

What are you hoping to see tomorrow?

Todays Product Alerts, The Highlights

Flashback Pullover

This is Heathered Ivory and not Heathered Clarity Grey as I thought it was when I saw it in store. The Heathered Ivory makes this much more tempting for me. I love the Flashback Pullover, it’s a really secksi pullover that has an 80’s feel to it. I’m of strong opinion (feel free to disagree in the comments) that you should stay tts to achieve the off the shoulder, slouchy look. Sizing down still works but you just don’t get the same character of the sweater that way. If you choose to size down, the front of the sweater will hang strait down on you and make the kangaroo pockets lay flatter against your tummy, and by sizing down the band at the bottom around the hips will also be snugger. If you’ve had the Flashback pullover before, this one is a bit thinner then the last versions that was out, I think I like this thinner version even better. I’m  quite hippy and found the off the shoulder neckline really balanced my shape out quite nicely and it looked especially nice with Wunder Under Crops. Went well with jeans and Relaxed Fit pants but the lean look of the Wunder Unders was best of all.

Scoop! Push Ur Limits & a New Mystery Tank

by Cristina February 8, 2011
written by Cristina

Thanks to lovely reader Kate who snapped these images at a Strategic Sales location.

Push Ur Limits in Sprinkler/Ikat Print.

Mystery Tank! It looks like the top bust portion is made out of ruched sheer luon material which I love, and it seems to have the same back as a Power Y or Flow Y Bra. The bottom portion of this tank looks like regular luon which is too bad, I would have loved this tank entirely made of sheer luon. Can’t wait to try it though. My bet is this tank is made to go with the Pure Balance pants and crops so the name may be along those lines.

Monday Store Report

by Cristina February 7, 2011
written by Cristina

Not much exciting at my local store for me today. I was on the hunt for a Rubber Ducky Scuba Hoodie or the newest Hot Class Tanks (Sprinkler Blue or Flush) which were not in today. I did however see a new Flashback Pullover in Black and one in Heathered Clarity Grey. This version seemed thinner then the last one which I used to own and loved but sadly had to part ways with because it got too big. I would love to get a new one someday but currently I have no Wunder Under Pants which is what goes best with this style of Pullover. I also saw two new Scuba hoodies today, A black SE Scuba Hoodie which was the pillow version and had a Coal Strata inner hood, and a regular Green Scuba that looked like a Solid Beachy Green.

New Get Fit Shorts.

I’d like a luxtreme running short similar to these. I’d try these out except I find I really like having the compression of power luxtreme for running and these look like luon to me. I didn’t see these in store today otherwise I would have had a closer look. Paired with the Power Y in Sprinkler.

In Stride Jacket in Sprinkler, Flush.

I think I prefer the color Sprinkler in other fabrics such as luxtreme. Luon muted it a bit too much for my preference and the In Stride display didn’t really call me over. Flush was very neon orange. Much more orange than it is a coral. I like the color passion but Flush will be a pass for me.

Speed Up Tank in Coal Strata. Very nice but I don’t love luxtreme tops for running. I’m just finicky, nothing at all wrong with luxtreme on top just not my go to material.

Astro Crops. This is the new Ikat Print with Sprinkler Blue contrast shadow. There were quite a few headbands today in this print (Dance, Untwisted). I think I also saw a run skirt in this print but my toddler was being very naughty today for some reason and demanding I buy her a smoothie right this second. I also noticed they were unloading the fannnnny packs in the Ikat print. Here is my opinion on the On Your Bum Bag. If you have a need for a fanny pack (like your going to travel in the immediate future), go for it. But as far as this style of bag goes I much, much prefer the Travel Pooch we saw in the ruched satin material in the summer/fall months.
