New Shorts! Run: Faster Longer Shorts

by Cristina February 21, 2011
written by Cristina

I’m really excited about these shorts since the current selection of Lululemon shorts just don’t work for me. I can do the Groovy Run Shorts if I size up by two full sizes which gives me the length I want but then it looks really baggy in the front and in the crotch area and the rise is still just too low for me. Also, I find the leg openings on the Groovy Run Shorts are narrower then I would like although I do like the style of them and the look of them on other people. If I wear them in my size or the next size up they sort of look like boyshorts underwear on me since I have some good booty, especially with all the hill running I’m doing. Anyways, these look very promising to me and if they fit right I will be over the moon because I’m tired of wearing Luxteme crops in the summertime for running and my legs are starting to look shorts worthy, thank you very much.

An interesting thing I noticed in the product description is that the Swift fabric has some recycled content. I wonder if that means they were made from scrap material or if they blended the swift fabric with something else and it will have a different feel..I’ll post more if I find anything out.

A Scoop For You, My Dear Readers!

by Cristina February 20, 2011
written by Cristina

I am loving the Pure Balance Tank, It’s super secski but it sure is low cut. I’ll have to try it on and see how my modest self feels in such a low cut top. Maybe something to save for my post nursing days when I’m less endowed.

I have two running jackets that I love, I don’t need this temptation looking me in the face. But..I adore a soft pink for running. I don’t know what the color psychology is behind wearing such soft feminine colors but soft pinks and purples (Power Purple especially) are my favourite colors for running. I love my Pig Pink I just wanna run tank and I would love to have a Swiftly Tech LS in this Iris color. The front ventilation zippers really make this an ideal jacket for warmer early Spring running too. Oh well. I’ll be happy to see this color in other items.

These Groovy Run shorts have a new shade of blue in them. The color code is STIL and I’m guessing it’s ‘Stillwater Blue’. Very pretty. I do need to eventually get a pair of Groovy Run Shorts so these may be the ones.

Confessions: Your Lulu Closets

by Cristina February 19, 2011
written by Cristina

Back by popular demand, the Confessions:Your Lulu Closet Series.

Opponents of consumerism please avert your eyes, we are simply doing our part for the world economy, rescued one lulu purchase at a time. This is the start of a new series of posts showcasing the closets of readers. I’ll be keeping these images anonymous to protect those that sent images from closet looting. I can already see items in there that are making me want to raid your closets. If you would like to participate, I would love to collect your images for future posts. Email me at [email protected].I think we all enjoy the lulu eye candy. Somehow it’s funner seeing generations of loved Lululemon items all in situ as apposed to seasonal items in the stores.

What items do you see in these collections that you wish had been yours?

*Please note: these are closets from several different readers

Run: Pace Setter Pullover in Iris

by Cristina February 19, 2011
written by Cristina

This new Pace Setter Pullover is gorgeous. The lack of contrast color, static pattern and obvious circle mesh makes it so simple and pretty. I’m not in the market for another pullover but I’m excited about this color “Iris’ which looks pinker then Lilac Snow which has a slight grey/purple undertone. Iris also seems about two tones darker then Lilac Snow. I may be totally wrong though and this may very well also be Lilac Snow. I think this color will look particularly gorgeous paired with Heathered Poison Ivy and Wren which I posted about earlier today.

New! In Stride Jacket

by Cristina February 19, 2011

White luon with Coal Strata Stripe contrast. This is nice! I really like the combination of the white and coal but not sure I would like a mostly white In Stride Jacket. Now if it was a white Pique I would be warmer to it for myself.

New Color! Heathered Poison Ivy

by Cristina February 19, 2011
written by Cristina

I just spotted these Organic Wunder Under Crops in ‘Heathered Poison Ivy’ online and I’ve been wanting to get a pair of Organic Cotton WU’s for a year now so since I was curious what this color would look like in person I’ve ordered them to try on and see what colors I can pair them with. Closet versatility is essential.

New! Dance Studio Pants in Wren Brown

by Cristina February 19, 2011
written by Cristina

I really, really didn’t want to need these but it turns out I do. It will just be too futile to pretend to resist them. I love browns like these for Spring since it’s not as harsh as black when paired with the softer Spring colors. It will look so pretty with colors like pinks (soft and fuchsia) Aruba, Snorkel and Sprinkler, creams..so many color matching options with brown. I can’t wait to try these on.

New Color! ‘Wren’ Studio II Pants

by Cristina February 18, 2011
written by Cristina

The Scuttlebutt on Facebook is that a new pair of Studio Pants II have been spotted in a US store in the color Wren which is shown below. This color to me looks like a Kaki Brown tone with a very subtle green undertone.  I’m sort of sad because I cannot justify another pair of Studio Pants (just got the Raw Blue which I love) but I love this Wren color and especially will love it in the Studio Pant material. Hopefully we’ll see more items in this color as well as Raw Blue because I’m just not loving the Sprinkler/Flush Palette out at the moment.

The Fanny Pack Trend

by Cristina February 18, 2011
written by Cristina

Did any of you watch last nights 30 Rock episode where Liz Lemon rocks a fanny pack? The trend is in now along with using chip clips to hold your hair back. Now if Lululemon could have just embroidered ‘Orlando’ on the On Your Bum Bag.

My fanny pack is in my office in my mini-fridge… I like my tampons to be cold.
