Well, looks like a lot of the WMTM predictions turned out right, but some items that were spotted on markdown in store never made it to WMTM. I think a lot of people were hoping for the Movement Jacket, Plunge Bra and Serenity Pants/Shorts and Hoodies and Mudra Tank. I was pleased to see my guess of the Inner Heart Bra came true even though I did get that one at full price when it first came out.
I made an impulse purchase tonight and decided to give the Rollin’ With My Omies Pants a try in black. Unfortunately my size wasn’t in stock so I ordered them in a size 8 and hope that they are loose enough that they will be fine a size down. If not I’ll have to sell them, or see if my store would be willing to exchange them for a 10. Have any of you tried these pants on yet and have some sizing insight for me? I hate taking size risks on final sale items.

Wednesday nights at 8:15 pm PST is usually when ‘We Made Too Much‘ gets replenished. My store doesn’t currently have a lot of sale items but I’ve heard whispers of what is in other stores on markdown so I thought I’d start a new guessing game feature on Wednesdays (if WMTM day doesn’t change). If your store has something marked down that you don’t see here, let me know so I can update this post. Shoot me emails throughout the week if you spot something so I can keep a running list for next week too, the more audience participation this feature gets, the more accurate and complete the list will become and I’d love for us to have weekly heads up.
I could be tempted by the Seamlessly Plunge Bra if it uploads, and possibly the Forest Green Serenity Hoodie. The Serenity Pants sold really well online and in stores but I think if some stores have some straggling around they may mark them down. My store had the Vita Loca Tank marked down and the Rollin’ With My Omies Pants. I’d love the Omies pants in black but my store only had the print ones. My store also has had the Blissed Out Wrap, and a few straggler Chai Time Pullovers marked down at one point (they’ve since been marked up).

It has been exceptionally hot here in Vancouver (lookout Seawheeze travellers!) so I ended up taking Sunday off which was the day that we had breaking temperatures, since the WOD was a mostly running WOD and it was right in the afternoon – Instead I took the kids swimming which I still consider cardio exercise. Ha! Mostly because I have mini heart attacks whenever they decide to split off into different directions.
I went in on Monday at 6am as per usual but it was so hot we ended up doing the workout outside. The first part of the workout was 5×5 deadlifts and I got up to 175#. My 1 rep max for deadlifts is somewhere around 205-215 depending on the conditions of the day, how I’m feeling and what my weight is on that day. I would love to one day get to the big numbers like 285-300 for deadlifts but I need to do them more often. The workout was a partner workout, 5 rounds each of 400 meter run, and 400 meter row. I can’t remember our time for that WOD but I was pleased that I rowed a consistent 2 minute 400 meters each round without feeling like I was dying. I’m back in tomorrow for the 6am, then on Friday, and on Saturday I think we are going to check out the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale so I will probably miss that day too. (FYI. I have discount links on the upper side bar and will have a banner ad up starting on the 18th for a 15-20% discount)
This is not what I wore for my WOD on Monday, but I changed into this when I got home. My outfit was the exact same thing I wore on Friday (In The Flow Crops/105F Singlet) but I have since decided its time to get comfortable with shorts and put away the crops for a while. Too bad these are my only shorts I can crossfit in so you will see these a lot with various different tops. Perhaps I will pick up the Turbo II Shorts in Sweetspot Black/Angel Wing when we are in the States.

Last year I caught a glimpse of a Wunderlust specialty item, the Gather Racerback (shown below) in a heathered menthol like color, organic cotton. The item was purchased at the Whistler Wunderlust Festival and then returned to my store. Since it was my size I snapped it up, but then later ended up returning it. I really like the cute little bird on a branch logo from last year, but this years compass logo is pretty cute too. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that these pants may make it to my store as a return, but if not, maybe I’ll check out the Whistler store on a weekend to see what they’ve got.
