Ooh-La-Lace Wunder Under Pant Hi Rise Nulux
I saw the Oo-La-Lace print in the energy bra at my store and it seems to have a slight shimmer in it with flecks of metallic. I like the print itself but hate it in these pants because they look like very hairy legs from afar.

Thankfully nothing for me today because I made a large inventory order to stock up The Sweat Edit Store with all the lovely spring colors I couldn’t resist. Now that the snow is melting away I’m already feeling that spring energy, so I need workout clothes that match my energy! I also exchanged my Hot Like Agni Crops this morning and purchased the Featherlight Tights instead. I’m surprised the Everyday Getaway Jacket hasn’t uploaded.

Two fit reviews in a week!! Unfortunately my store had no new product today but they did have a healthy markdown rack, and a random online return which was the Rain Is Calling Jacket. Since I was returning the Hot Like Agni Crops I took the opportunity to get you guys some photos in store lighting.
I really liked the way this jacket looked on with the black contrasted zippers on the stark white. If I was in the market for a new run jacket, this would be top of my list from the current offerings. I don’t like the steep $198 price tag on it and I really don’t feel that’s the correct price for a rain shell style jacket. Stylistically it’s really nice though, and a streamlined fit compared to yesterday’s Everyday Getaway Jacket. This jacket fit TTS, but I don’t think i’d layer anything thicker than a RULU long sleeve underneath.
There was a lot I liked about these crops but ultimately I felt the mesh pattern was ‘too much skin’ for me. I think if you are less curvy the sheer portions would appear slightly more opaque on you, but on me, they where pretty obvious and the exposure was throughout the entire pant. The material is very soft and silky and I could tell these would be very cool for a sweaty workout. I’m worried though that this silky burnout luxtreme is very delicate and would snag easily. The seam across the top thighs didn’t bother me so much because of the feel but because I’m longer in the hip area, that seam sits a lot higher on me and right underneath my butt. I ended up exchanging these for the Featherlight Tight which where on sale for $69. My local store (Coquitlam Lululemon) had a lot of WMTM inventory in – check the store inventory feature online if you are looking for a sizes.
This jacket is pretty pricey at $199, and so I don’t think it’s worth it for that price point but stylistically I don’t completely hate it, and the two colors are great. This is a to-from rain jacket and not meant as a running jacket. This is a very roomy TTS and if you are petite this jacket is probably not for you due to the cropped width and the wide sleeves. Great for layering over sweaters though! I think the wide proportions of this jacket really swallow up a more petite shape but if you are tall you will probably pull this off and it will look really cute. I like the profile of this jacket and I’m kind of liking the back design details, but the front is just too wide on me even cinched in. I also really dislike this new hood/colar design that we also saw in the Pick Up The Pace LS. See how the front collar folds into the hood? I think this makes for a really strange neckline zipped up, and it really prevents the lapels of the jacket from laying nicely open if you have the neck zipped down.

There was a new WAFS Cool Racerback II in today and it was very soft. I didn’t try it on though because CRBII’s are not for me and I don’t like the price point of them.
The snatch lift is a lift that is full of adversity. One wrong move in Olympic Lifting, or slightly off position and the bar is quick to remind you in the form of gravity and negativity that you are wrong. Your best teacher is pain. It’s feedback telling you to try that again and do it right this time. But you are human and not a robot so your approach to your lifts will vary in skill, intensity, form, aggression, focus and some of the time you will experience pain for your efforts. ‘Snatch is for life’ is what my coach tells me and it’s so true. No matter what you are always perfecting it and always learning from it and you will fail at 50% of your lifts. The clean and jerk is the more skilled lift, but the snatch is the scariest and the easiest to get wrong.
My week has been really terrible and full of adversity and so todays workout really helped remind me that I just have to work through it and be ok with being human. Part of my week involved very hard feelings over my Whole 30 diet and feeling really discouraged. One of the cardinal rules about whole 30 is not to weigh yourself, so of course that was the rule I’ve had the hardest time with. I was really upset to see that after having lost 4lbs in the first two weeks, I was back up and only had lost 1lb overall. I ignored the fact that my skin is looking so much better, that I’m less puffy and bloated, that my clothes fit better. I was angry that I’d eliminated my biggest vice – coffee beverages, only to not lose a substantial amount of weight and that didn’t seem fair.
Something people don’t understand with the whole ‘fat shaming’ issue (which was brought up this week thanks to the polarizing news article about lululemon) is that when you are overweight, every fat cell in your body is loaded with feelings of inadequacy, shame and self loathing. When someone makes a comment to you (innocent or deliberately insensitive) reminding you of the feelings you already feel about yourself, nothing feels lower to you. You feel unworthy, inadequate and unlikeable and the comment validates those feelings for you. All because your body is a size that isn’t generally desirable. I’ve been skinny before and I’ve lost weight before and I always, ALWAYS forget what it’s like to be living in that moment of feeling deeply ashamed of myself – because it’s easier and more comfortable to live in denial about how low you’ve been and how terrible that place is. So I think my point is, when someone seems to you to be very defensive about ‘fat issues’, it’s coming from a place of deep hurt and working through issues of self worth. This week I’ve been working through my own issues as to why I was so upset about *only* losing 1lb, and working on my issues of feeling rage at the rhetoric about the article and being so hard on myself when clearly things are going in the right direction. If I’ve been a hard person this week it’s because I’ve been raging internally. I’ve been fighting these mental demons and learning some hard lessons. I dropped the bar, but I will line my feet up, line my grip up, get jacked and try again.

I was really excited to have my first order the other day which you can see in the picture below. It was great to try out an order with my store in beta mode and see how smoothly the transaction went through. That order is now shipped off to my customer and I’m really excited for her to receive it.
My store takes credit card, apple pay and PayPal and is in CAD! The CAD option is especially great for those of you in the US that wish to take advantage of our low Canadian dollar. I’m even going to have a square chip for local sales!
