Today’s CrossFit workout was all about strength and endurance. It kicked off with 5-7 reps of 3 front squats, each held at parallel for a 3-second pause, really engaging those quads and core. The intensity ramped up with 3 rounds for time: 450m row, 21 kettlebell swings at 35lbs, and 12 thrusters at 65lbs, all within an 18-minute time cap. This combination of movements not only builds strength but also boosts cardiovascular endurance, making it a killer full-body workout that challenges both mind and body.
Pausing during front squats offers several benefits. It increases time under tension, which helps build muscle strength and endurance. The pause also improves stability and control, particularly in the lower body, by forcing you to engage your core and maintain proper form. Additionally, it helps to identify and correct any weaknesses or imbalances in your squat technique, leading to better overall performance. This technique also enhances mental focus, as holding the position requires concentration and discipline.

I’m a fan of the Align Waist Length Racerbacks, even though they have some quirks. They tend to roll up on me more than the CRBs ever did, and I usually need to size up. Despite that, I still like them and find them pretty flattering, though the Cool Racerback Tank might have a slight edge in that department. I absolutely love the muted mauve color, especially when paired with legacy green—it’s such a gorgeous combination!
