Sneaky Early Lululemon Upload

by Cristina

A Sneaky Early Lululemon Upload!

Good morning! How was your holiday weekend? Did you catch the early upload last night? Lululemon decided to sneak in a really early upload Sunday night with some great new pieces. I’ve been waiting for the Ease Of It All Jumpsuit to upload for a few weeks now. I am dying to try it on and compare it to the Shift In Time Jumpsuit (reviewed here). And of course, Lululemon went all out and and uploaded a great new color in the Align Crop Wide Legs. Grey sage is so really pretty and versatile. Honorable mentions go to Handle The Heat Romper, and the super tempting Invigorate High Rise Crop in Heathered Peri Purple.

Don’t miss the Lululemon Fit Review post I did this weekend. I tried on 4 new items. I’m going to have to be ruthless about returns because I liked everything I tried on. Lululemon has been hitting it out of the park for me this summer. Except for the copious amounts of crop-tops. We got three new crop tops this week, and I know we got a few last week.  They sell like hot cakes and are super popular so I get it,  but I need some of these cute styles in slightly longer crop top versions. I’m on board with the new cropped silhouette, I just need them to be long enough that you only see midsection as I move around.

I’m desperate to find the align short 6” in black in a 12 or 14… Christina do you think they will restock 1 more time?
The wide leg crops are gorgeous – hoping more sizes available on Tuesday (!)

I’m pretty frustrated with the midriff revealing trend in so much of this. I exercise and am healthy, but I’m perimenopausal and have a tiny little bit of extra squidge that I can’t seem to shift and I’m not dying to show it off. There seem to be so few options now that keep me covered. I mean, I get it, middle aged women will never really be the target market for workout wear and athleisure, but it still sucks. I’m also disappointed that so many of the bras are long line now. They give good coverage if you aren’t wearing a tank over them, but I find them unflattering on me. I mean, I love that Femme Force Crop Tank, but somehow a little roll poking out underneath is just gonna ruin the intended look. Haha. Sigh. Oh well, I guess getting older is better than the alternative.

Also, did anyone else notice that the photos for the wide leg aligns have been changed? They were originally on one of the really slim models, but now they’re on a model with some muscular junk in her trunk. I prefer it seeing a little diversity, so this certainly isn’t a criticism. I just found it interesting, and wonder why they made the change.

I believe Lulu said they would diversify their models as well and include more people of color. Good for them! I like how muscular this new model looks.
