The Lululemon Upload is here, and also, the polar vortex has reached Vancouver! It’s officially a snow day today which means online shopping is extra tempting. Spring-like items are also especially tempting. Proceed with caution, or continue with reckless abandon, let your budget be your guide.
No purchases for me today, but I have made several

On The Fly Pant Wide Leg

I’m tempted by these but I don’t want to buy them this month. I love the On The Fly Pant but they are just slightly too long for that 7/8 look.

The Rain Is Calling Jacket II
Chill On Pullover
Rain Rebel Jacket
Define Jacket
Speed Up Tight
Rest Less Pullover
This is so pretty. Tempted but I don’t wear Rest Less Pullovers very often. I should make a point of wearing my black one this week to see if it sparks more regular wears.
Muscle Love Crop Tank
Easy As Sunday Tote
I kind of love this, especially in this color and finish. It’s so basic though. Earmarking it for WMTM.

Either I have the winter blahs or Lululemon is putting out the most uninspired athletic wear.
This past week I went to a large sporting goods store that carries the typical workout apparel (Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Calia… etc). Not a single item appealed to me there, either. And unfortunately I saw TONS of cropped off hoodies, sweatshirts, jackets, tops, and tanks.
The crop trend is for the young and/or extremely fit. I’m healthy and fit for my age, but would never subject the general population to a view of my mid section.
Maybe it’s just me, but absolutely nothing in this upload (or any in 2019) excites or interests me. ☹️
If you are drawn to a crop you can always throw a swiftly underneath in a coordinating color and it looks really nice. no need to feel exposed if you don’t want to 🙂
Yes!!!! I ordered fast and free camo. Finally. I bet they’ll sell out quickly. They are so nice ??
I just learned a few weeks ago that the on the fly pant comes in full length 31” and not just 28”. This was after I detagged the 28”. Lol. In the meantime I have been seeking out shoes to wear these to the office so it didn’t look weird exposing ankles when it’s snowy and minus 25. I didn’t think wearing black knee socks looked right either to blend in with pant. 31” would have saved me o shoes lol. And I have yet to wear the 28” to office for dress down I will have to splurge on a 31” pair. Too bad I discovered after using strava.
I love your blog. I’m glad there is nothing for me this upload. I have yet to go to store to get the trellis print wup from last week. That’s all that I remember that I wanted though I heard the flowers are not pink but flash colour.
If you get the trellis print WUP, could you please let us know if it’s squat proof. (I don’t want workout pants that I can’t bend over in.)
I got mine and they’re beautiful !
Backed in gray and squat proof for me ( I posted some pictures on my insta @dana_yaniro )
Thanks for the info! I looked up your Instagram.. the leggings look great and you are quite flexible. #yogagoals
Aww thank you! Many years of practice! Have a wonderful day!
I think chelsea boots are great with these pants for winter, cuffed so that the pant sits at the top of the boot. Marc Fisher has some great Chelsea boot styles. They are leather but the quality is just ok so probably won’t last two winter seasons. La Canadienne is a great brand for very high quality, stylish winter boots and they have lots of chelsea boot styles. Blondo boots are fantastic too and are more in line with Marc Fisher pricing, but higher quality.
Nothing for me in this upload. (And I won’t buy anything cropped either.)
Since we also have a stormy winter day (even the schools are out in Toronto), I also did some online shopping at Talbots. They had 60% off their merino and cashmere tops, plus 10% off for first time buyers and no shipping charge. I know I will pay double at the end with the exchange and the tax, but Talbots is known for their quality and classic design.
Last week I returned the rulu Rally Wrap. I loved the design and the material, but the colour was a greenish white, not pure white that I expected based on the online pictures. The Long For It jacket went back too. I really liked the Dune colour, but I already have 2 grey and a black zip up from previous years, and this new jacket was just too expensive to repeat the style (and not as warm as I expected).
My kids are home on a snow day too. I’ve actually picked up a few Talbot Sweaters recently because the quality of the items jumped out at me. I had no idea!
Oh yes, Talbots is known for quality, classic clothes. Obviously a totally different vibe from the athletic wear that is the focus of your blog, but there’s room in my life for both.
Nothing for me.
I’m sort of tempted by the finally-in-stock green camo pants, but I just have nothing to wear with yellow-toned greens and think they will make me look pasty, hah. Maybe the blue ones previewed will work better. I also love the yellow bags but don’t need them, so I’ll pass for now.
I have the 28” length of this camo in the Fast and Frees (that came out awhile back). I wear either a black or medium gray tank with them. They look darker in person than in the photos.
I also wear light grey tank or white top. Looks so nice with both colors.
This gator green camo is a lot darker in person. lululemon should have better professional lighting. Their photos are amateur. I love mine and they are also pretty flattering
I have a couple of outfits with the green camo in my Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/seawheezealina/. I did combos with (1) with olive and yellow, (2) melanite, (3) forest green, (4) black/grey. I am not even into camo but these fast and frees are one of my favorites. Up there with black, nocturnal teal and dark carbon.
Yellows, oranges, blues, turquoise, pinks…this green is pretty neutral so pretty much any color goes with. I didn’t like the 28″ length F&F in this camo print so when the Pace Rival crops came out in the black/gray one, I grabbed those and absolutely love them. Trying to think if I need these camo ones now too! Other than these, though, the uploads have been a major snoozefest. They need to go back to actual, real technical workout clothing and stop with the constant athleisure stuff.
Looking forward to the camo that are sneak peek in amongst the download.
I am too. There is a vinyasa scarf is this camo. It’s called “Evergreen Camo Green Multi”. I’m not interested in a scarf but would love some leggings in this print.
Actually super excited that the On the Fly pants came out in a khaki/beige colour. Hopefully they look nice in person. I’ve been waiting for something similar, because I think they will make great casual work pants.
I am really curious about this color too. I suspect it will look really awesome in real life outfits vs. the online photos which look really bland.
I’m hoping the woven khaki color will come in the 31″ version…
Nothing for me from the upload, but I was able to get my Toasty Techs switched out with the color I’d tried to order. Online GEC was not helpful at all, but they were very nice in the store and took care of everything quickly and cheerfully.
Also picked up the Plush Times Joggers in my skinnier size (I fluctuate). I’d tried them in my larger size and thought them too dumpy to leave the house, but in the skinnier size, they’re really cute.
I had so much on my wish list at Christmas, but by the time I had money to spend, it was all gone. 2019 offerings have not been very inspiring. I like the soft, cool colors, but I can’t say they’re really motivating me to buy.
Glad you got the correct color in the toasty techs. I love the pair I have and think I’m going to order the Garnet color, too.
I think this thread or the one before someone asked about the Trellis Bloom Print, I got mine and they are gorgeous and squat proof for me.
So happy I got my hands on fast and free camo!! They are all sold out online. I also remembered to snag green camo align crop 21” and those are now also sold out. I love Lululemon camo
