Yogi Dance Jacket, Ruffles and an Outfit Idea.

by Cristina December 18, 2010

I saw the Challenge Jacket yesterday paired with the White Hustle Tank and thought it looked really cute together so I took this very awful picture of it to share with you. You get the gist of it though.  I loved how the short back of the jacket looked with the ruffles hanging out at the bottom, especially the contrast of such an edgy jacket with an ultra feminine tank.

Coal Pique Yogi Dance Jacket. Also comes in all White and all Power Purple, Define Jacket Black Sailor Stripe with Scoop Neck Tank Black Sailor Stripe/Microstripe

Live Simply Crewneck Tee Black Sailor Stripe

Lion Hoodie for men. I felt this one yesterday and it’s really thick and very soft and cozy. I highly recommend it if your looking for something to get the man in your life. In fact I may be returning something that I got for my husband in exchange for this.

How to Wear the Waterwall Wunder Unders

by Cristina December 18, 2010
written by Cristina

This is a good picture showing how to wear the Wunder Under Organic (HVR_MUWW) with a dark neutral top. I’m not someone who can pull off light colored Wunder Unders but if these ever come out in a dark charcoal with rainbow waterwall print then I would consider them. I really want to see the reversed side of these which looks like it’s Multi State of Mind Print posted about over here. I would also wear these paired with the Grey or Black Chai Time Pullover.

Reversible Wunder Under Organic Waterwall Print?

by Cristina December 18, 2010
written by Cristina

I found this listing on ebay for the new Wunder Under Organic Crops (HVR_MUWW) and it looks as though these may be reversible to Multi State of Mind Print. If you look at the top waistband you can see  the inside is Mutli State of Mind.

A Year In Review Series – Day 6 : Prints and Patterns 2010

by Cristina December 18, 2010
written by Cristina

In light of my most recent purchase, the Candlelight Tank in Waterwall Print (In Love!) and my Lulu diet which consists of only buying items that have a great print (ok, we’ll see how that goes) I thought I’d dedicate todays Year in Review post to this years prints.

The prints and patterns this year started off a bit boring with stripes in many, many, many forms. Static Wave Stripe, Microstripe, Wee Stripe, Space Dye, 1/16 Silver Stripe, Poncho Stripe, Sailor Stripe and I’m sure I’m missing some. I did like a few of the stripes and in general I like stripes but I don’t need more then one or two items in a stripe. We also had a bit of overkill of Static. Static versions of Alarm, Lolo, Oasis, Senorita Pink, Plum, Black, Coal, Very Violet, Power Purple, Wish, Persimmon…so many, too many. Sadly we didn’t even get to see a Solid Plum Cool Racerback. I liked the Statics at one point but then got very tired of them and I passed up on the Dash LS because all of the colors I liked came in Statics.

The real excitement for me came with Multi State of Mind Print which at first I thought, OMG who would wear paint splatter. Turns out I would. I love it. I love it layered with Wish Blue, Very Violet and Black and Greys. Such an edgy print. And then came Black Roses Print. The Black Roses print seems to have a few variations, one that actually looks like little roses scattered about (my favourite) and the other version is more of a kaleidoscope/tie dye version of the same print which has more repetitive logos. This is another print that has me excited. It’s a young edgy spin on a pattern that is very traditional. A rose floral print is something my grandmother would wear (pre black mourning period) but the Black Roses print is dark, gothic and edgy. And lastly, Waterwall print. It’s gorgeous! I think it’s a tamer way of doing a Multi State of Mind Print. It has all of the rainbow paint splatter but within a damask print. I’m dying to see this print in other tops such as a Cool Racerback or maybe blown up and on a Live Simply Tee. I really hope Lululemon decides to make more prints like the Black Roses, Waterwall and Multi State of Mind Print.

My honourable mention goes to the Plum Shale Stripe Hustle Jacket. I covet that jacket. I hope one of you decides to break up with yours when I decide I want to buy one.

What was your top favourite print this year? And of all time?

Store Trip ~ Candlelight Tank Waterwall Print, Ruffle Cool Racerback and More

by Cristina December 17, 2010
written by Cristina

I ended up running out to the mall today to do some Christmas shopping and stopped in at Lululemon to see what was in. I was so happy to find the Candlelight Waterwall Print Tank finally. There were two in my size and the print was pretty similar on both and that made it a really hard decision so In the end I went with one that had a bit more fuchsia to the print as I thought it looked more ‘rainbowish’ instead of having predominately blues and greens. This is such a gorgeous tank, super soft and you can pull the neckline up a bit higher in the front and lower in the back for bit more coverage.

**Things I spotted: Cool Racerback Tank in Heathered Black Micro Stripe just like the Heathered Power Purple Micro Stripe one we saw a last week. Both are super soft and feel like running luon. No polyester in those. Sailor Stripe/Black Microstripe Scoop Neck Tank, Coal and Black Waterwall Print Candlelight Tank, Black Relaxed Fit Pants with Vertical Sailor Stripe Print at the Waist. Define Jacket in Black Sailor Stripe. and a gorgeous Power Purple Hustle Jacket. I still like the Plum Shale best of all.

This is the Special Edition Ruffle Cool Racerback that I posted about yesterday. I’m very disappointed in this one. The ruffles on the back as you can see in the picture are mesh, and the edges are raw unfinished and not cut very well. I would think they could use a laser cut at least to get a crisp strait edge and somehow finish it off a bit nicer. I think in the end having the ruffles mesh allows the tank to remain relatively cool and light weight but the mesh just doesn’t drape well and it has a tendency to crease. This was a fail in my opinion.

Detail shot of the ruffle.

I caught a glimpse of this on my way out of the mall about an hour after I left the Lululemon. I guess they were still putting inventory out. This is a gorgeous Power Purple Hustle Jacket. I also saw a Power Purple Yogi Dance Jacket.

Sailor Stripe Define

by Cristina December 17, 2010
written by Cristina

I hadn’t realized in the last picture I posted that it was actually a Define Jacket and a Stride Jacket in Sailor Stripe. Today when I went to my local store I saw this Define but not the Stride. The Define has the plastic zipper that looks like platinum and I think it really suits this Define very well. The Define was priced at $99 however it was a reprice sticker so make sure to look at the price carefully if you buy this one. It’s not brushed on the inside.

I also saw the Relaxed Fit Pants in Black with a vertical Sailor Stripe Band.

New! Sailor Stripe Stride and Scoop Neck Tank

by Cristina December 17, 2010
written by Cristina

I’m loving the Sailor Stripes!! I think I’m only going to grab a Cool Racerback in the Sailor Stripe if it makes an appearance but I’m going to pass on any new Strides. I have the Yogi Dance Tank Black Sailor Stripe sitting under my tree.

A Year In Review Series – Day 5 : Bags 2010

by Cristina December 17, 2010
written by Cristina

This years bags have been phenomenal. I love lululemon bags because they are  filled with tons of clever pockets and compartments and are made to be used not just as a gym bag but can also be used for travel or your everyday work bag. Mine gets used as a diaper bag currently and it’s been the best diaper bag so far. I don’t know of any other gym bag that comes complete with laptop compartment and a shoe bag (which I use to keep my diapers all in one place) and also looks as amazing as the Lululemon bags.  I started out with the On the Move Gym bag in the gorgeous Wish Blue Ombre Cool Blue but had to exchange that one so I ended up getting the Bon Voyage Duffel bag. I was so in love with all of the colorful satin bags with pretty ruching details that I would have taken them all home given the opportunity. I would have also taken home the Gym Essentials kit just for the Multi State of Mind Print that I love so much. I’m such a magpie when it comes to color and pattern ;p

The Hot Hottie Yoga bag is another one I love because it’s just so adorable as a mini version of the Everywear Gym Bag. I still look at it every time I’m in the store and pet it. It’s so soft it feels like buttery leather.  At one point I also kept thinking about getting the Travel Pooch V in Citron but decided against it as it didn’t have the versatility to be worn as a purse.

What Lululemon bag did you buy this year and which ones did you wish you could have also brought home?

The New Hotness Video from Halifax

by Cristina December 17, 2010
written by Cristina

I really liked this video because it featured the Lift Your Spirits Jacket and the Rejuvenate Jacket which you really need to see a 360* view of it to appreciate fully how it looks all the way around. I’m also really liking the mens Lion Hoodie. I would be all over buying this for my husband for Christmas but sadly Lululemon sizing doesn’t work for him as he’s tall, broad in the chest and has long limbs and the jackets he’s tried on have had a really narrow fit.

I think this will be a good weight for early spring running. Day one of my self imposed limit to only purchase new prints and I already want to break my own restriction.

Sizes 4-12 and also comes in Black, Snorkel Blue and Passion
