Someone on Facebook was kind enough to share pictures of her new Microstripe Snorkel Blue Run: Resolution Pullover. I really like the Microstripe Snorkel Blue. It also comes in Passion Microstripe, Static Coal and Static Black and costs $108.
This is a picture of the Lullure Cool Racerback Tank in Passion. It’s also supposed to come out in Pond, Peacock, India ink and I think there were a few other blues mentioned as well. Lullure is a non texturized Nylon fabric that feels smooth and silky and because of it’s smoothness it’s great for layering because it doesn’t catch and attach to other fabrics.

This is the Run: Swiftly Tech SS Tech in Faded Zap.

I tried on the Run: Outward Bound Jacket this afternoon and I absolutely love it. I don’t think I love it more then the Hustle in Plum but this is definitely close for me. The thing that turns me a bit off on it is that for the price of $188 it should have reflectivity on it and I’m almost certain it doesn’t. If it does it’s not listed on the hang tag. Really I feel that all running jackets should have reflective detailing on it and it would have been easy to add it in on the front chevron stripes with piping and on the back. If I’m wrong about the reflectivity on this jacket please let me know so I can update this. The vertical zippers you see on the side open up to a lined ventilation pocket so your not completely exposed but you have soft circle mesh ventilation. There are also side pocket on this and cuffins but I couldn’t find a watch hole on it which I would have liked. I’m wearing my Candlelight tank in Waterwall underneath in case you were wondering. Isn’t it gorgeous?
As for sizing and fit, I found the size 8 a bit snug on me (not an awkward fit like the Inspire Jacket, just snug) so I preferred it in the size 10. If you like your jackets long this one was on the shorter side and not butt covering. It’s not a crop jacket, just slightly shorter then the Hustle. The Jacket itself was warm and soft but still quite light so I don’t think it’s down filled or anything, just lightly insulated. It comes in White, Black and Wish and goes up to size 12. I loved the Wish and the White ones on me. The Wish had that retro 70’s look and the Glyde material makes colors look really Lux. I left a little bit in love with the Wish blue but on further consideration, I have a lot of wish blue and for the price I prefer the Hustle jacket which has reflectivity. It may woo me yet though.
Why We Made This:
1. Lightweight insulated windbreaker allows you to warm up quickly and not overheat during cold winter runs.
2. Water resistant Glyde with DWR finish to keep you dry.
3. Quick access zipper vents let you cool down in a flash.
4. Soft warm running luon cuffins with thumbholes for warm hands.
5. Drawcord at hem helps keep cold air out.
6. secured zipper pocket for card, keys or music
New! A New Outward Bound Jacket & Static Passion Hustle Tank from Oz
I ran in to the mall tonight after my husband got home to relieve me of parenting duty and walked past the Lululemon and spotted a new Jacket. It’s called the Run: Outward Bound Jacket. I believe the price was $188 although for some reason now I keep thinking it may have been $208 or $288. I hope I’m right with the first price. Anyways, it seemed like an insulated running jacket version with a bit of puff in it. I also saw it in Wish Blue which was gorgeous. The outside is made of Glyde and it has side ventilation zippers which is a feature I really like. My Running Room Jacket has these zippers which completely open up the sides once you get warmed up and despite my initial dislike of the zippers I find I use that feature a lot. I’m hoping to get some more info on this tomorrow for you, maybe even a quick fit review. I’d like to know the fill count, how it fits, the features included and the price.
This product notification just came in with the newest Static Passion Hustle Tank from Australia. I like this tank and if it’s around in the Spring time I can see myself using this for running as an alternative to the Cool Racerback.

Oh my this was a hard post to do on Polyvore, more so then the hoodies and the prints & patterns. There were so many colors this year that polyvore didn’t like how big my set was and didn’t allow me to publish so I took a screen shot of my creation instead. I really like seeing the colors laid out like this as you can see the connection between pallets and really see the transitions. Colors like Faded Zap/Citron and Lime were used throughout.
There were quite a few colors I’ve liked a lot this year but my top favourite is Wish Blue. It’s such a vibrant true color that it pops out at you and feels energizing. I’m so glad it’s been brought back from early summer. I’ve also liked Pig Pink which looks so pretty paired with edgy black or coal, Haze which is such a chameleon color that photographs different with daylight or artificial light. Very Violet which looks amazing on brunettes, Lilac was a hard to wear purple for many but so soft and luxurious. Plum is so beautiful, It also looks great on brunettes. I was sad not to have gotten any item in plum but it was really because it was mostly used in static version which I did not care for. I have my eye on the Hustle Jacket in Plum Shale though so it may still be in my future. Power Purple is pretty without being sweet and pastelly, another color I love but have purchased nothing in. Ivy was so gorgeous but very brief (maybe we will see it come back after the Snorkel/Passion/Faded Zap palette), as was Casis which was just used on the inside of a scuba and with the Sparkle Cuddle Up and Sparkle Scuba. I liked Casis from afar but when I tried it on it looked horrible on me so that was an easy pass.
My least favourite colors were Lagoon, Savage Green and Persimmon. I was equally repelled and attracted to Persimmon though and I may have splurged in a Dash LS in a solid Persimmon on markdown. The static was way too orange sherbert though and I would have never worn it so I’m glad those conditions for purchasing it were not met.
What were your favourite colors this year and what did you hate?
These are the Run Resolution Pullovers in Passion and Snorkel. I like it better then the last picture I had posted of it but I still don’t love the ruched detailing at the yoke.
This is the Run Resolution LS which I like much better then the Pullover. With the ruched shoulder detail it looks a lot more like the Alpine Pullover.
Run Ambition Pullover. I like this one the best.
Lululemon has posted this letter informing customers that they are conducting a review of lululemon reusable shoppers distributed this year for lead content . Preliminary results of testing shows there is no health or safety risk to the public but they are inviting customers to return bags to the store for proper disposal. To see a list of the affected shoppers from this past year make sure to read the letter posted.

Here is a related article from The Vancouver Sun.
To tell you the truth I’m not really concerned about this. I keep a few shoppers on hand but usually end up grabbing one to use as a diaper disposal bag or to keep in my car for collecting garbage. The levels of lead in the Lululemon shoppers do not pose a health or safety risk with intended use (ie. not consuming it, not wearing it), only an environmental risk with disposal. The bags referred to in the news articles fail to mention that bags from other retailers are the ones with the unsafe levels of lead and not specifically Lululemon shoppers. I plan on returning my unused bags to the store to be disposed of responsibly. I think Lululemon is handling this appropriately and it’s important to note they have not issued an official recall, only an invitation to return the bags for appropriate disposal. As far as children using these as lunch bags or as a toy I think the concerns are valid but not worth panicking over as the exposure is pretty minimal. I’m someone who is very careful about BPA in bottles and food storage, and toys made in China and purchased at Liquidation World or the Dollar Store that may contain lead or bits and pieces that are choking hazards (my mom does this much to my discouragement and those toys are immediately returned). All of my bottles have been well researched on The Soft Landing website and I feel like I’m a pretty informed consumer, if not paranoid. Make sure that these bags are disposed of properly and not used as toys or to carry warm food in and I’m sure we’ll all be ok.
When I started the hoodies topic I thought for sure this was going to be one of the smaller posts. I guess I really didn’t realize how many hoodie options we had this year from Lululemon. I think the biggest news of the year was the replacement of the cult favourite Remix Hoodie with the new and improved Scuba Hoodie. With change there is always bound to be some unhappiness with the people that loved the Remix ‘just the way it is’ but I think Lululemon did a great job in improving their main year round staple item. I find it’s a much better, more feminine fit that hugs your curves with the side ribbing panel and the longer length is way better. I found the old Remix to be quite stiff and inflexible and a tidge short on me but the new Scuba is a lot more flexible through the body without losing the thickness of the cotton fleece. A+ for the new Scubas and I’m looking forward to wearing my new Wish Blue one hiding under the Christmas tree.
There were also some strange Special Edition Scuba Hoodies that were out this winter with removable sleeves, reversible cuffs/hood, lulu jacquard print and the Scuba that can be packed away into a pillow. Apparently these have been quite popular for the Hoodie collector but I just wasn’t into these deconstructed designs. I did like some of the rustic stitching on the Special Edition Scuba vest as well as the fuzzy hood but other then that I was not a fan of these Special Editions. I hope next year they make a plain scuba hoodie lined with the fuzzy material used in this special edition scuba.
Another Favourite hoodie (although hoodless) this year was the Cuddle Up. I passed on it because I just didn’t see one that I was in love with. I did admire them from afar though and was momentarily tempted by the sparkle versions.
My favourite of the lightweight hoodies was the Flashback Pullover. I ended up selling my beloved Flashback as it got too big on me. If this design comes back i’ll be sure to get a replacement for it as I found it really cute on over Wunder Unders as well as my jeans. I also liked the Free to Be Hoodies which came out at the same time as the Flashback Jackets. Another favourite lightweight hoodie has been the Wear With All which was out earlier this year, and currently replaced with the Live Simply Jacket. The Live simply jacket in Black/Black Lulujacquard Snowstar has been insanely popular for Christmas selling out everywhere.
My least favourite hoodies this year (Disclaimer: don’t take offence if you loved them, they were just not my style) was the Effortless Hoodie and the Scuba Shaped Hoodie. These designs were just not happening for me and I wouldn’t even bring these home on steep markdown.
Where you happy about the Scuba Replacing the Remix? What were your favourites this year and least favourite from this category?

A Reader had mentioned to me yesterday that a Canadian showroom now has the Snorkel Blue Happy Heat Tank. This would be the first Snorkel Blue item to hit Canadian stores so I expect we’ll start to see more items such as the run pullovers and LS’s in this color to come out shortly, perhaps Monday after Boxing day madness clears room for new stuff. I found the same tank on ebay this morning, it’s so funny that some of our sneak peeks are coming in the form of ebay listings instead of Facebook or Product Notification pictures.
