Thanks to Michelle Delecki we finally have a fit review for the Inspire Pullover and some pictures of a never seen before color Static Wave Stripe (looks like). Michelle fell in love with this striped one pictured above and I agree with her that it is an awesome color. I’ve decided I’m getting this one, the Lolo and I’m going to have a really tough time not getting the Heathered Black and Senorita Pink. Michelle stayed TTS 4 (Lolo picture on bottom) and you can tell that there is some wiggle room in the tummy area staying TTS. If you need more tummy room go one up (top picture is one size up) but I like the amount of room she has in her TTS and that it is still form fitting and not baggy.
I’ve added a new comments gadget that allows for more interesting ways to comment on my posts for more of a community feel. For example, if someone is requesting a fit description of an item, a fellow commenter can leave her a comment right bellow her comment and you can also edit your comments if you catch a mistake later. You can also “like” peoples comments or “dislike” as on Facebook but better. This function allows you to vote on someones comments so that they build up a rating or “reputation score”. If someone with a high reputation score gives you fit advice you know you can trust what there saying. Someone who makes unpopular comments will have a poor reputation score…better than editing or deleting comments. Cool, right? I would love to get your feedback on how this is working for you and if your enjoying it. Feel free to play around with it and see if you can post pictures (you need a URL addy or something like that).
Enjoy!
ps. I will post a How To Guide shortly on using the new commenting system. You can add pictures to your comments too which is pretty cool but I haven’t yet figured that part out yet.
Have you noticed the glitch on Facebook where you can’t leave comments on anything posted on the Lululemon (and other) groups…
Here is why…
At 20:00 UT (Universal Time) Friday, August 20th, 2010, Mercury the wise communicator—and universal trickster—turns retrograde 19*01 Virgo, in the sign of the Virgin, sending communications, travel, appointments, mail and the www into a general snarlup! The retro period begins some days before the actual turning point (as Mercury slows) and lasts for three weeks or so, until September 12, 2010, when the Winged messenger reaches his direct station. At this time he halts and begins his return to direct motion through the zodiac.
Hopefully this doesn’t affect all of our online orders that are supposed to arrive today.
The Run Inspire Pullover was featured in this ESPN Article. Looks like they must have got a sample product to try out ahead of time before they were released to the general public.
Rant: The “strategic” release of the Inspire pullover is really irking me. Not just the US before Canada issue but the fact that it’s been released in San Diego and Santa Barbara prior to some colder climated US cities is just weird. I fully expected that given the popularity and hype of this items (I take only partial blame for the hype) that it would be an online first release as they sometimes do. that way, all of us lululemon fanatics that are in the know have an equal opportunity to purchase instead of just waiting around, or in my case running around, shivering in inappropriate fall running gear. Boo!!! If I had this item right now it would be used now and not in a few months which means instead of just sitting in my closet waiting for colder weather it would be out in the world promoting itself.
Boo, it’s hit US stores first. So disappointed. Oh well, I’m off for a pedicure in North Van today with my mom in law and sisters in law so I’ll be sure to stop in at the Park Royal store in the hopes that it will be there. Grrrr if it’s not!
Here it is in the Heathered Black which I’ll be getting along with the Lolo Purple.
I’ve been very curious about the ebay seller “yogathrifter” who has a huge inventory of new with tag lululemon items that don’t at all look like knock-offs according to several purchasers. I’ve almost purchased an older Apres Yoga jacket from Yogathrifter but had second thoughts and felt guilty and unsure. I do like a good deal and I also really like finding older style lululemon prints that you can no longer find in stores but I don’t feel entirely comfortable purchasing from someone who is not a personal seller that just had buyers remorse or is closet cleaning. It really cheapens the product to have items like these sold online at a huge undercut and also it also diverts company profits that would otherwise be going to the design team, seamstresses, and factory workers. I’m not sure what this sellers (or other sellers) sources are, perhaps the factory that produces the garments for Lululemon also produces extras on the side that they can later sell, maybe they are failed quality check items, maybe it’s inventory shrinkage. Who knows, maybe they are completely legitimate items purchased in “we made too much” or the Factory Outlet. It is a little suspect though that this seller has an alleged warehouse that several people have visited for shopping. When I first almost purchased the jacket I was told I could come check out the other sizes to see which fit best. I wish I would have gone because when I later made a request to go for a visit and see what was in stock for a cash purchase my request was ignored.
On the other hand, there are also the price gougers online that purchase items and wait for the perfect opportunity to repost them at a hugely marked up price. Like the Art Series Hoodies that are currently listed at $150 even though Lulu sells them for $98. This is why I much prefer buying and selling on the lulu exchange page. Even though there is no protection and it’s just a group it is such a small group that for the most part there is no crazy price gauging and unethical activity going on.
So what are your views on buying on ebay from these types of sellers? Have you bought any of these marked up or marked down items? If you have any insight as to how these sellers come to have there inventory do share.
Other than this purchase pictured bellow this was a hugely disappointing upload yet again. No running items that I’m in desperate need of. I would have seriously purchased an entire running outfit today if it had been uploaded. Pants, swiftlys and pullovers.
So far I’ve ordered this SE Scuba Hoodie. I love the white stitching in the hood and arms over the cable knit seam. My Cheer Gear Red Canada Hoodie has this and that’s my favourite part of it. I may not keep this though because I’m not sure how the cable knit will wash. Plus I feel like I need to protest the lack lustre “strategic” product releases. I think we’ve all been saving our pennies for some really great Fall items and running gear in the Lolo and Senorita Pink colors for a while now. And did it really need to take an hour and a half to upload all of those items?
