Yikes! That was a big upload! And it happened pretty early too at about 3:15. I had my email out to my newsletter subscribers the minute I saw the upload. Wanderlust items, Pretty Plume items, run items…. so much pretty! right before Seawheeze, too. I ordered the Diversity Bag for a friend who is out of town and hopefully that order fills for her. For myself I ordered the Casbah Kimono in the Mosaic Print and the Pretty Plume High Times Pants. I’m not sure if I’ll keep the pants as they are kinda loud but I wanted to try them on. Feeling tempted by the Nook Tank, the Dance To Yoga Pant, the Mosaic Highest Times Pant and the Jet Crops. But I’m behaving and not ordering.

Product Drop Monday/Fit Review: Pretty Plume Angel Wing Dance To Yoga Tank

Dance To Yoga Tank Pretty Plume Angel Wing

This is my TTS 10 in the Dance To Yoga Tank which is my usual Cool Racerback size. I liked this tank because of the print and the softness of the luon but I didn’t love how short it was and I didn’t care for the open mesh back. Something about this luon light is incredibly soft compared to the usual printed luon so I brought this tank home but I think I’m just hanging on to it to compare it to the upcoming Amala Tank in this print.  Also, I want to see what this tank looks like with my luon bottoms vs. my jeans which tend to be more unforgiving of my mid section. The print varies and I was lucky that my size came in the darker wing towards the bottom ‘problem areas’ and the lighter wing is up top. All the others on the rack had the reverse. 

What I didn’t love about the mesh back is that it scoops so low and highlights the below bra area. The inner bra is not super supportive so really although it says it’s for B/C cups, I’d say it’s for young or very perky C cups. I tried this on with my regular none sports bra underneath and it didn’t feel as compressive layered over another bra as a Power Y would feel.

My store didn’t get these in but another Vancouver area store got the Wunder Under Crop II in Pretty Plume Angel Wing. Thanks to Ms. R for sharing her photo.  My store did get the Picnic Play Dress (I grabbed it to try on but it was too hard to figure out the straps – maybe tomorrow). The PP Dress in my size had a huge mascara stain on the front too so I knew I wasn’t going to be bringing that one home anyways so I didn’t bother. There was also the City Summer Dress, a fold over waist Dance Wunder Under Crop, new Scubas in Dashing Purple and Angel Wing.

Fit Review: Wanderlust Kimono

As I promised you on Thursday, my pre Wanderlust upload review of the Casbah Kimono. The full Wanderlust items are slated to upload on Tuesday, although the US got a pre upload this morning of the High Times Pants. 

This is the size M on me and I typically take a size 10 in jackets and cool racerback tanks. The M is perfect, roomy and relaxed fitting. The only indication that this is a smaller size on me is that the pockets are set back a bit on my hips vs. being positioned on the front of my hips. I can wear the kimono fully closed in the front and overlapping so it’s not short on material there at all. I think this Kimono looks best either dressed up with skinny or straight legged jeans, or worn as a pool coverup. For some reason I don’t love it with casual luon bottoms. If you are a size 8 or 10 you can easily pull off the size small, or medium or you could try the L but ideally you would get the M. If you are sizes 2, 4, 6 you would probably want to stick with XS and S. 

The jacket is reversible to solid Denim Blue but I really prefer the print side out. I think the other print, the Winged Mosaic Naval Blue reverses to solid Naval Blue which would be nice as well. No button or snap closures on this. 

This print doesn’t photograph nearly as beautifully as it looks in person. The Painted Feathers print is very nuanced in person and full of texture and tone that just doesn’t get captured in any of the pictures I’ve seen. I really love the pops of brown in the print.

Sneaky Upload *Jet Crop Slims

You may have noticed that the Lululemon website was down for maintenance since last night. This morning the website is back up with a few new items for the US side. I haven’t noticed anything on the Canada side yet. A reader pointed out new Jet Crop Slims and Run Top Speed Crops. Have you noticed anything else new? Let me know and I’ll add it to this post.
