If you are in town for Seawheeze (15 days away! OMG!), you may want to check out the Lulu Lab while you are here as they have come up with an exclusive line for Seawheeze called Whytecliff. The print is beautiful. I know I wont be attempting to snag an item because trying to get something that is exclusive in Vancouver is virtually impossible at the best of times. It will be stressful enough getting to the showcase store the day before the race and I know it’s going to be an exhausting weekend. I don’t want to set myself up for a miserable race by standing in tons of lineups the days leading up to it. For me the fun of this weekend is the experience of hanging out with friends and soaking up the excited energy and doing lots of lulu people watching so a little bit of shopping on expo day is good enough for me. I can’t wait to tell you all about Seawheeze weekend!

Yay for Cranberry! I love this In Flux Jacket in Cranberry. I wonder how it compares to Bumble Berry. I have the Bumble Berry Dance Studio Jacket so this one cannot go on my list.
Butterflies are big for Lululemon this year. Liking this Biggie So Fly Butterfly Pizzaz Multi print. I like this print in the blues but not loving that pop of orange.

Another version of the Biggie So Fly Butterfly. I think I like it in this Fatigue version better.

Just no. This is horrible. Maybe if you have narrow hips and straight legs these will lay a certain way on you and look perfectly chic, but on curves they are all wrong. That front pouch billows out big time. These are such a horrible tight fit (way snugger than Street To Studios or In Flux Crops and Om Pants) in my tts 10. Because of the snugness, all that excess material in the one leg pouches out a lot. It’s sad though really because the material is really nice and light and very pretty in this print. If they had made these the cut of the In Flux Crops I would have been all over them. I didn’t even mind the white cuffs.
You can really see how much pulling there is at the hips and how much pouching out you get with that asymetrical leg thing.
Here they are in black, equally atrocious. Even the black doesn’t minimize the pouch.
Gather And Sprint Crops TTS 10
These where actually really nice. I liked them a lot and am considering getting them. I’m joining Lulu Addict and her sister and nieces for Seawheeze and I’m told I have to wear the team outfit and these may coordinate since the neutral print is right. There aren’t tons of pockets on this crop which is annoying at $98 price tag but I like the mesh down the side and I love the high rise on them. I didn’t buy them today but depending on what returns I do over the next few days I may pick them up.
I like the ruching at the lower leg too and that the stripes are angled vs. being straight across.
Busy mail day today! Tuesday’s order just arrived and after trying on a full length luon bottoms I am sweltering. If you where wondering what these pants looked like on a curvy figure, here you have it.
The Pretty Plume High Times I’m liking a lot actually. I thought I’d try them on and hate them on me due to being curvy, the print and that it’s a light color. Actually, I really like them and I find them much more flattering than I expected. Even with the owl eyes up top. I ordered my TTS 10 and they are hard to put on, even over the calves. Very little stretch in these and it seems like it’s a new luon blend material for lululemon. Snug compressive fit and very little sheerness for such a light color. The material reminds me of Onzie but way more substantial. I suggest staying TTS and battling putting these on because once they are on they are perfect. sizing down would be totally impossible. I’m a bit torn though because despite loving these I’m not sure I’d actually be courageous enough to wear something like this to Crossfit (I’m starting that up full force in September), and I doubt I’d wear these casually. There is my dilemma with pretty lulu pieces where the prettyness overrides it’s function.
As far as sheerness goes, I did a full squat test on these and was very surprised they aren’t more sheer. You can slightly see the rip tag (but that is expected) but you can’t really see anything else. For such light colors I’m impressed at how opaque it is.

These are my TTS 10 again and these where much harder to pull on over my hips than the ones above. I think these have even less stretch so you really have to hike them up high or you get pulling down (due to my quads pulling them down) and then you get the bunching in odd places. Hike them up all the way and adjust the material. Still I’d stay TTS in these and battle getting them on because once they are on and adjusted they fit right. Definitely do not size down in these. I’m less likely to keep these than I am the ones above because I find them really busy and again, I’d never wear them to crossfit and the are a little fancy with the mesh for day wear. Beautiful print though.
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is on for just 4 more days before the prices go up! If items you’ve liked have sold out before you got a chance to order definitely keep checking back because there are tons of pop backs this week. If you are Canadian, call the Calgary (or other Canadian Nordstroms) to see if they have those items in store because they will ship to you directly from the store inventory in Canadian prices and it’s cheaper that way. I am beyond excited that Nordstrom is coming to Vancouver in September.
I had major regrets after I placed my order (for these) that I didn’t also didn’t just bite the bullet and snag these Camo jeans because they sold out immediately online and in stores. I even checked several stores while I was in the US and they all told me the same thing, that they flew the first day. I’ve been diligently checking pop backs for two weeks and finally they popped up in my size but they weren’t actually available to purchase. I then did a live chat online with Nordstrom and they told me a few stores that had these in stock so I was able to call and have them ship to me directly from store. I was a bit worried though because these are size 31 and I take 32’s in jeans right now (and I’ve put on weight) so I assumed these would be stored away for thinner times. They are actually really comfortable and relax within a few minutes and the rise is perfect. This morning, my size 32 popped up online and this time I was actually able to place the order the but I think I’m going to return those unless they are a better fit than these. Keep checking items in your wish list and if they pop up check out immediately before someone else snatches that item up.
I love these so much more in person than I did from the online photo. What drew me to them online was how dark and subtle the camo is but actually, in person it is much less olive and even darker so they will easily pair with everything I’d wear regular dark wash jeans with. I’m just infatuated with them already and am going through my closet to see what pretty blouses I’ll be wearing these with.
