Awesome upload for Australia today featuring a lot of Pretty Plume Angel Wing in the new Dance To Yoga Capsule. I’m thinking of ordering the High Times Pant in Pretty Plume Angel, or the Dance To Yoga Pant. I would love a Cool Racerback in this print but it looks like we get this Dance To Yoga Tank instead.

As promised, my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchases which are now available for purchase without the ‘early access’ Nordstrom Card requirement and available to ship to Canada. I am really glad I saved up for this year and jumped on great staple purchases vs. little impulse purchases. A few years back when I first discovered this amazing sale (and realized it was all new fall pieces marked down) I found it really confusing and hard to narrow down what to choose and so I just got a few random items. I went on a road trip with my sister specifically for this sale and we wandered around the store for hours, in a complete daze until I purchased a few random things. My sister did buy her first pair of Frye Boots that year and she’s worn them a TON and loves them. So great to have a staple wardrobe piece you love that you got for a steal! This year I studied the catalogue and determined what I would use the most come fall and what would integrate into my style the best. Now I know that this is the time to pick up great denim and fall shoes, or handbags if you are in the market for that. The beauty products are also great if good colors for you pop up, or jumbo sizes of your favourite skin care. I passed on most of the beauty products but while I was in Portland I grabbed a Butter London Manicure set because I really love painting my nails but hate to splurge on manicures and pedicures.
These boots where definitely a splurge but I plan on wearing them all Fall and Winter. They are buttery soft and very comfortable for a heeled boot. I love that they can be worn with dresses or jeans and dressed up or dressed down. I ordered them in my half size up, 9.5/40 but what is interesting is that online it says that the 9.5 is a size 39.9 (which is what I selected) and I tried on the 39.9 in store and they fit perfectly. What I got was the size 40 (Euro size 9.5) and they are indeed the size 9.5 but they fit a little looser than the 39.9 that I tried on in store. This is the annoying part about ordering blind online – the euro sizing online is incorrect. When you order, go by the US sizing and ignore the Euro sizing that is listed. I’ve walked around in them all day and they are very comfortable so I’m sticking with the 40/9.5 but I think If I had purchased in store I may have gone with the 39.9/9 and ‘worn them in’ until comfortable.
Hudson Jeans ‘Lydia’ (with Rag & Bone Margot Booties)
I already love Hudson Jeans as they are really durable and fit a curvy figure very well. I have other jeans I really like the fit of such as Paige Denim and Joe’s Jeans (also on sale) but they wear down really quickly in the inner thigh and in the belt loops from pulling on while the Hudson Jeans last me a lot longer. This particular style on sale is even nicer than my other Hudson Jeans – the black color is really elongating and the fit is super comfortable with really nice stretchy denim. I got them in my TTS but if you are between sizes you can probably size down one in these.
Man, Lululemon is being so lame lately. Today they abruptly shut down the Warehouse Sale despite the fact that there was plenty of product left. Boo to that. Also, very few product pictures are being shared by stores.

I’m shopped out from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and the last Lululemon upload so I don’t think I’ll be partaking in this one but if you make a purchase let me know what you get and what you think of it. I haven’t bitten the bullet yet in the Athleta Crops territory yet although I’ve heard really great things of the Chaturanga Capri in the Lulu groups. This would have been the perfect opportunity for me to try them out but alas it is not to be.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is now live for none cardholders! If you’ve read my other posts (More Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2015 Picks, and Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2015 Early Access) you can see some of my activewear picks and a few none activewear items as well. I’ve added my picks below from the sale and when I arrive home in Vancouver I’ll get to share try on photos of the items. I’ve written a few fit notes below since I did get to try these items on in store at Nordstrom in Portland.
I picked up the Butter London Kit in Portland and really love it. The cuticle eliminator really works and I’m wearing the horse power nail strengthener now since the beach and sand has destroyed my already weak nails.
Rag and Bone ‘Margot’ Bootie $349 ($525 after sale)
I got these in a 1/2 size up and when I was in Portland got to try them on and verify that the size is right. Because it zips up on both sides, if you have a narrow foot and you don’t have a high instep you could probably stay TTS but I felt the 1/2 size up was very comfortable for me. The camel pair was buttery soft and very sophisticated. The black pair, the one I got, is also very comfortable but doesn’t have that buttery soft leather on the outside that the camel pair has, but it is just as soft on the inside with a very cushioned footbed. These are a 3″ heel but they don’t feel like it.
Hudson Jeans ‘Lydia’ $129 (after sale $198)
I stayed TTS in these (size 32) and was a bit worried about the sizing. My Hudson Jeans are all 32’s but vary with fit with some of my 32’s being slightly snug in the waist on bloaty days so I’ve put those away to the back of my drawers for less ‘bloaty days’. When I tried these on a few days ago in store I was relieved that these are very stretchy and comfortable in my TTS. If you where between sizes you could probably even size down as they are probably my most stretchy Hudson Jeans.
I just arrived home to my delivery of the Street To Studio Pants in Bark Chocolate and I got to quickly try them on. I absolutely love the color!! I was a bit worried about how it would pair with other colors but here it is with Heathered Black and I think it looks really cute. Colors in this swiftly material are tricky because sometimes they can look great online where they are saturated and then when you see them in person they are washed out thanks to the lighter stripe in the material. These and the Gator Green ones are the only ones I’ve liked enough to keep in any of the Street To Studio Pants, and the In Flux Crops in Fatigue Green and Black.

Yay! A What We Love in which I lust over nothing! I am relieved that there is nothing I need in this edition of WWL. My Street To Studio Pants in Bark Chocolate have just arrived and they are divine. I am so in love with them. Give me 10 minutes and I’ll have a photo up for you.

Vancouver no longer has a Lululemon outlet but I was at the Burlington outlet a few weeks ago and many, many of these items where already there. My big find was the Post Practice Cardi in Plum Peach (not on this WH sale) which I adore and have worn to death since I got it. If I wasn’t spent out though, I would probably be getting the Street To Studio Crops in either black/Ombre or Iris Flower, possibly the Rain On Jacket and the Weekend Warrior Bag. If you where curious about the Dance Studio Jackets since they have seemingly been replaced by the In Flux Jacket, now is the time to grab one in a great neutral.
