I can’t believe it’s already been a year since the last Nordstrom Anniversary Sale First Day of Early Access circus. This is part 1 of my try-ons, ‘2019 Anniversary Sale Best of Jeans Edition‘ because Im verrry tired after 6 hours of driving to Seattle on top the intensity of shopping this sale as a blogger, and dealing with the stress of ordering items online and having them sell out at the very start of the Early Access. (ask me what I think of the new tiered access).
Jeans are my #1 recommendation of where to spend your shopping budget on this sale. This is such an opportinity to get really high quality designer jeans at amazing prices. Nordstrom does not disapoint in this department (ever) and they consistently offer a variety of on trend designs as well as classic colors and styles. I only buy my jeans during the NSALE and I stock up on a few pairs to last me the year. Truthfully I’m still wearing my Anniversary Sale jeans from 2013.

My Favorite Jeans Of The Anniversary Sale, And Of All Time
I purchased these jeans last year as a new to me style. Previously my favourites where the AG Skinnies but once I tried this AG pair I couldn’t leave them behind. They fit like my originals but so much better for my petite curvy frame. The rise is just a touch higher so they sit at my waist better, and the longer inseam makes my legs look longer. They are the perfect wash for everyday, or elevated basics outfits. I was debating not getting these again this year and instead trying out totally different cut (bootcut, straightleg or mom jean) but once I tried them on I had to bring them home, once again.

The New To Me Style I Loved
I’ve been wanting to try Frame Jeans for a long time but they are so darn expensive. I was intrigued by a lot of the jeans online this year that had this straight leg, cropped length/mom jean hybrid look. It’s such a comfortable style, plus they look great with a variety of different types of shoes and tops. I loved these for their comfort and relaxed fit. I don’t think they are as flattering as the skinny jeans on me with this particular top, but I still really liked them on and can’t wait to try them on again with pretty feminine tops (like these!) and some boots (like these beauties that I’m going to tell you about later). These fit slightly big in areas so I ended up getting a size down in them.
There was another pair of Frame Jeans in a similar cut to these but I didn’t like those on me at all and I didn’t even take a picture of them. They are the mini boot raw edge.

I Didn’t Mean To Buy Three Pairs Of Jeans Today
Ok, I really didn’t want to get three pairs of jeans but this third pair was so flattering and I loved the wash, plus they are Frame and like I said above, I’ve been wanting to try them.
I wasn’t that interested in this particular style when I saw them hanging, or online, because they are just another pair of dark skinny jeans. I brought them to the fitting room in my massive pile of try-ons just to try on a good variety.
My goodness, they fit like a glove. Super skinny jeans aren’t normally this comfortable. I especially loved the dark indigo wash. It looks edgy but sophisticated in person. These feel like the type of jeans you wear when you want to dress up your jean with a nice top and fancy heels, but don’t want to look too buttoned up. The shredded hem wasnt something I was sure I’d like. I like a raw hem on jeans but I’ve avoided really distressed hems. I’m interested to see how these look with different pairs of shoes.

The Splurge! A Forever Leather Jacket
This amazing ALLSAINTS leather jacket caused me a lot of heartache today. I plotted this purchase for several weeks ever since I found out that the sale was including the iconic ALLSAINTS Balfern jacket. Then it sold out as soon as the sale went live.
I’ve been wanting the Balfern for years but wanted it in a pretty soft color just like the pink and blue offered in this sale. I love my black Mackage Leather Jacket that I got in this sale a few years ago and I’ve been wanting to add a soft pretty colored leather jacket. I don’t shop at ALLSAINTS so the chances of me stumbling upon the Balfern on sale was pretty slim. Last years Ted Baker pink leather was pretty but it just wasn’t ‘the one’, nor was the leather as nice and soft as this one. Somehow one of my order attemps this morning actually went through and a few hours ago I finally got my confirmation email, and then ship notice for the blue one. The blue one was my top choice, but I would have loved the pink too.
This black one wasn’t on sale but I wanted to try it on to confirm the sizing. ALLSAINTS Balfern Jacket goes up to size 10 and that’s what I’ve got on here. It’s slimmer in the arms than my Mackage jacket but I don’t mind. Quality leather jackets mold to your shape the more you wear them.
There are also two suede versions too! The bone suede was a contender at one point but I narrowed it down to the pink or blue lambskin.
