New Stride Jacket and Half Moon Jacket

by Cristina June 8, 2010
written by Cristina

The Fit of the Half Moon I didn’t love on me mostly because of the short curved bottom that just totally accentuates my hips.
I have a very small waist with broad hips so it was an immediate “no way”. The Stride is a great fit for me, hugging yet longish in the body.

WWA Love the jacket

by Cristina June 8, 2010
written by Cristina

This is such a great jacket, I have it in Lagoon and Faded Zap which I love to wear with my Astro crops or my Wunder Unders. Not so great over jeans unless you have the skinny jeans. I’ve seen this on a variety of body types and I think it can be tricky to wear. If your short and curvy like me you have to be careful to get a size up so it’s not too fitted and wear it with leggings and not Jeans. If you have narrow hips you have to play around with the zipper to give more an illusion of shape and you can get away with wearing it with jeans more easily. As far as today’s colors, the Heathered Clarity Grey is nice as is the Frisbee but the pink was not my favourite. I wonder why they all of a sudden have Frisbee instead of Angel Blue. There such similar colors so I’m surprised they have such an overlap. It’s not like going from Lagoon to Angel blue.

Shanti Crop, Flashback Jacket, Cool Racer Colors

by Cristina June 8, 2010
written by Cristina

Today I tried on the new Shanti crop in both the Black and the Heathered Clarity Grey (also comes in Classic Sport Grey). These pants were extremely thin and soft and very similar to the Tranquil crop from last year. They are made of Beechlu but I’m pretty sure these were thinner than the Tranquil crop. I passed on these because my Tranquil Crop pilled so badly after just a few uses so I’m very wary of anything Beechlu/Modal. But they were oh so tempting and comfortable. For a short 5’4 person I think these may have been a touch too long for me and too flared at the hem.

The new flashback jackets were in and they seemed to be a thinner cotton than the flashbacks from a few weeks ago. I checked and they aren’t Beechlu so I’m not sure why they felt so different. I wasn’t tempted by the flashback despite the very pretty colors because I’m not as in love with the cut as I am with the Free2Be. For me, the pockets on this doesn’t do it for me nor does the varsity stripes at the bottom.

The new colors for the Cool Racerbacks. Hmmm….the colors don’t sing to me. Mainly because all together they just remind me of the Jamaican flag (I love Jamaica, nothing wrong with the flag) and there not “pretty colors” or neutrals. The Mac N Cheese is too bright of a yellow for me and I can’t wear that (much prefer a Chirp type yellow) but someone with a great tan can rock it for sure. Savage Green is an awesome color but so hard to wear for a lot of people. And the Senorita pink is just ok.

This is why Lulu makes great pregnancy clothes

by Cristina June 6, 2010
written by Cristina

Two way zippers and four way stretch. I lived in my lulu pants (Be Still II and Lulu I and Lulu II) and I lived in Pima cotton t-shirts, tanks and an open Remix hoodie through the winter.  But I never ever considered the possibility of one of the luon jackets with the two way zips. Too bad because this looks so cute showing of a lovely belly.
PS. The Be Still Pants were the best for post c-section recovery. It was all I could wear for weeks. Even the Pregnancy jeans were to much pressure on my incision.

Jo-Ann in Cargo Harem Pants from the Lulu Lab

by Cristina June 6, 2010
written by Cristina

I love Jo-Ann’s style. I love that she wears what she wants, be it the harem pants or the Spring Fling Tank and looks great in it. She rocks the styles that some of us are too afraid to try or too afraid to admit we like. Thanks Jo-Ann for providing the picture!

More Love for the Lulu Lab and it’s funky designs.

I love the Lulu lab. If ever your on the lookout for any accessory such as bags, running hats or socks that are no longer available in your store, check the lab cause they have it all.

I love how fast they do hemming and that it’s totally free. Thanks for that lulu, that and the free shipping (website, not lab) kinda makes up for the higher prices.

I love that the Lulu logo on their clothes is not the same reflective one that you have on everything else but an embossed black logo that shows your item is special and one of a kind (or at least one in a limited series).

It’s so great to see some of the ideas that the designers have and then seeing something in the main stores that sort of relates to or resembles something made at the lab. Harem Pants = Move Me Crops.

Apre Tunic – I love!

by Cristina June 5, 2010
written by Cristina

I went to the Lulu Lab today and got the Apres Tunic and am totally in LOVE with it. The mesh back makes it really cool for summer despite being black. I also got a pair of crop wunder unders in thin luon to go with it. This is the most flattering and slimming Tunic I have ever tried on, very cute wide sleeves and perfectly placed large pockets and the length is just right for a shortie like me.  I decided against the hunter boots and instead am wearing it with my black croc flats or my red leather flats.

PS. If your on the hunt for a Classy Classic Gym bag they had all the new ones there. Potion Purple, Potion/Savage Foxy, Neoprene all colors…So many! And the new socks from my previous post.

Cutest Running Socks Ever

by Cristina June 5, 2010
written by Cristina

These are the Featherweight Socks which I prefer for running over the Ultimate Running Sock. My only issue with the Ultimate is that they come up too high and they feel much warmer. If I were doing long distance running I would probably prefer the cushioning in that one but for now I like the thinness of the Featherweight.

Sigh, this color is so nice on me. I also like myself in the potion purple. Lululemon clothes remind me ofthe yummy Mr. Sketch Scented Markers. This one is blueberry for sure. Come to think of it, Lulu makes me totally digress to grade 1.
