This was the cute zipper pull from the new Stride II. I happen to like this one with the 3 colors more than the other new ones.

Modern V Neck T – Close up Details

by Cristina July 14, 2010
written by Cristina

This is a basic T but all the little details in this is what makes it a dress up type of T and not just a casual sport T. I am in Love with the Oatmeal one and am so glad I got it, I may end up getting the Light Grey one tomorrow on the upload. I hope this becomes as much a staple in stores as the 5yr Pima’s.  I think I’m having a color saturation overload because all of these neutrals are looking so pretty to me. I wish they would bring in a Branch colored one too (oooh, how ’bout a Heathered Branch one Lulu?). Anyways, I think if I can get my hands on a pair of Wish Blue Wunder Unders  I can live in neutral tops and be very happy.

Back stitching detail and logo placement.

Back Stitching detail and logo placement. Also notice the stitching on the side under her arm (it’s a panel along the sides and not a strait stitch)

Sleeve length and hem width. Also note the logo placement.

New Product – Mindful Shorts

by Cristina July 14, 2010
written by Cristina

These are the new Mindful shorts that look a lot like the Tencel shorts (Tencel Hot Short?) that were just out a few weeks ago except with a much higher waist.  I tried on the Tencel ones last week because they were on sale and I was needing shorts and although they were too short for me they were not too bad. Good for Bikrams and if they hadn’t been so scandalously short they would be a  nice casual non-sporty short.
Pockets and pleats…and made of Luon, not Tencil.

Stride II River Rock Detailing

by Cristina July 14, 2010

Here is a picture where you can actually see some of the River Rock contrast on this. From what I remember the whole zipper part is River Rock and the inside of the Hood is River Rock as well. All of the new Strides have the ribbed Luon that I love.

And the Everywhere Bag in Alarming. The bags dimensions are 7inches x 11inches x 6.5inches and it’s a touch smaller than the Classy Classic.

Sneak Peek…not really all that sneaky though…

by Cristina July 13, 2010

A hot yoga bra in what looks like Alarming.

I’m modest and the thought of wearing something like this seemed impossible before I tried hot yoga, but trust me…it’s like childbirth, once your in that inferno you don’t care who sees what and how. So I would totally wear this to Bikrams and have a cover up to wear into class and to put on after…preferable a moisture wicking cool one like a Swiftly Tank that wont stick to my sweat.

I like the idea of an Alarming colored top for hot yoga (I’m totally on fire today!) It’s cute!! as far as sizing goes I really hope there generous with size 12’s and that the cups are roomy in this cause you need to be able to bend over without the nips coming out. Oh no she didn’t!

New Colors

Alarming, Oasis & River Rock.
* For some reason in this product notice of the Oasis/River Rock Stride you can’t see the River Rock detailing. Actually the hoodie pulls are the thicker satin in River Rock and the inside of the hood is River Rock. The zipper pull is that three stack of rings but this one is neat because it’s 3 different shades of blue.

Dang, so the new Stides are out. I saw the Sport Grey + Alarming one that I had posted last week as a sneak peek  and the one that I had posted that looked like Lagoon was actually Oasis with River Rock trim. Very beautiful colors and I was soooo very close to getting one but I was on a mommy play date with a friend who is not a Lulu Lover so I didn’t feel the peer pressure. Normally I’m drawn to the Blues but I tried on the Sport Grey with Alarming (Sport Grey looks almost like a kaki grey) and the Alarming was so striking and pretty, especially with dark brown hair.  I had to remind myself why I chose to go with the neutral stripe one (goes with everything) and that if I got the Oasis or Alarming ones I’d have to actually think about what I’m putting on under it. Plus I really love the brushed Luon. Although the Sport Grey+Alarming comes in that silky Luon with added polyester which I also like.  I do like the Oasis and River Rock, specifically River Rock but I think I like Wish better. I always seem to change my mind about colors anyways so by next week i’ll think Oasis is where it’s at. My family calls me a Magpie because I collect pretty things in colors that attract me and bring them back to my nest.

I also spotted an full on Alarming (hehe) Define and a Coal Define with Citron detailing. Flow Y Bra’s in Alarming and Oasis as well as an Oasis CRB Tank. I must say I prefer the Alarming as an accent color much the same as Faded Zap so I may pick up a Flow Y to use on my new V necks in Oatmeal and Coal. I saw some “new”old tanks called Inner Strength in Oasis/River Rock and white but there was nothing else new in the running department so I ran out before I could change my mind about the Strides.

The Vinnie

by Cristina July 13, 2010

New Lab item for the men. This is a great sweater for a more preppy style (perhaps the engineer or architect in your life). Man I wish I could dress my hubby in this but he just doesn’t like the fit of Lulu on him. For his birthday I got him a thin sweatshirt (don’t know the name of it) and the Kung Fu pants. Everything ended up going back to the store. except that he loved the look of the sweatshirt so I kept coming back with different sizes. Three trips later we decided that even the XXL (which is a rare find in the mens department at Lulu) was too fitted for someone with a broader chest and shoulders. He’s really tall and has long limbs so  it’s hard sizing him and this ended up making him feel bad. It was such a shame because he really liked the clothes for walking the dog and shlepping in because his wardrobe consists of almost all suits which is what he lives in and two ratty-tatty shorts and t-shirts. I was tired of looking at his sad casual wear and thought I’d be nice and replace it for him. Too bad!

This sweater seems like it would appeal to men because of the extra zipper. If you have a guy who likes to be fashionable but also likes gadgets like extra zippers than this is for him. I see this type of style at Harry Rossen all the time. Man that’s a really sexy store to hang around in I tell yah.

Flashback Pullover

by Cristina July 13, 2010
written by Cristina

I love the Flashback Pullover with these Wish Blue (I think) Wunder Unders. It totally looks like a “Fame” style outfit and I wish I could pull off these Wunder Unders. I would buy the whole outfit if only it was me but it’s just not. I just can’t get a hoodie without a zipper because I’m always either too hot or too cold so I’m constantly putting on and taking of my hoodies.  I love the way this fits over the hips and that you can wear the hoodie off one shoulder or centred, very sexy shlepping around outfit. I’d have to ask my husband if a hoodie can ever be considered sexy though.
