Porcelain Blue Dance Studio Jacket

by Cristina April 24, 2012
written by Cristina

I’ve been very patiently awaiting real life pictures of this beauty, the Dance Studio Jacket in Porcelain Blue since I ordered it last night. I’m very anxious to see if my order ships out since by this morning most sizes were sold out. I’m not loving it styled with Flash though. I wish the online stylist would have paired it with something thats not such a stark contrast. Maybe Menthol, White, Dune. It’s not that those two colors look bad together, it’s just really contrasty in such similar tones.

I’m really liking this Pacesetter Skirt, it’s such a great neutral. I’ve read though that its not out in tall length so I wont be able to get it.

Heathered Navy Flashback Pullover, Flash No Limit Tank, White Denim Wunder Unders

by Cristina April 24, 2012
written by Cristina

If I didn’t already have a heathered navy Sing, Floss, Travel Jacket I’d be seriously jonesing for this flashback pullover. It’s my most worn hoodie and I am in love with the color. I just really like this pullover paired with wunder under/legging type pants and not so much looser fitting pants like jeans or dance studio crops. I may regret passing on this one but I must.

 Such a pretty picture!

These are tempting for summer. A nice neutral that will go with everything.

New! Menthol Swiftly Tech SS and Porcelain xlong CRB

by Cristina April 23, 2012
written by Cristina

Both of these items were listed in a US product alert. I love them both but I’m not sure I can justify the CRB in Porcelain since I have one in Rocksteady, even if it is x long. Menthol in swiftly is so gorgeous. If it comes in a v neck I’ll be very happy. A long sleeve would be nice as well but I don’t need a LS. I guess there is a chance we’ll see these uploaded tonight but I think were more likely to just see the new crops, Liberty and Hold Me Close, The Flash NLT, Flashback Pullover, the Daily Tanks. My only item I’m going to jump on if uploaded is the heathered menthol CRB.

Product Drop Monday

by Cristina April 23, 2012
written by Cristina

Boy was I happy that there was nothing in store for me today. I do really like the newest Daily Tanks in Beachy Floral Print and Porcelain Wee Stripe but it’s not something I need to have. The Beachy Floral was really nice on and the print actually has a distressed denim look to it but the Beachy Floral was a 97% polyester and the Wee Stripe was mostly 47% Nylon I think. I’d prefer the Beachy Floral in a Every Yogi Tank to avoid the polyester, but I’d also love to see this print in the Porcelain colorway. I was surprised though at how much nicer the print is in person once you see the detailing of the print and the faux distressed look.

There were new Flash No Limit Tanks in today but not the Menthol, Porcelain or Beachy Floral versions that are coming soon. Its so funny how boring flash has gotten. It’s just been around for a very long time now, since January I think. I think those of us that love Flash have stocked up and then some so were ready to say bye-bye (**ducking for cover**).

Liberty Crops

I could have really liked the Liberty Crops. It’s the same thin cotton french terry as the Meditate Pullover which I really like. But then they went and made it with the ridiculous dropped crotch which makes it an automatic pass for me.

 Hold Me Close Crops

I took a look at these crops today and I don’t really like how the silicone grips look all the way down the leg. It just looked like a globbed on hot glue gun accident in this particular execution of the print. I’ve liked past versions of this silicone design which I think came in a thin linear feather print so it didn’t looked globbed on, it looks more deliberate.

Shiny Pacesetter Skirts in Fossil and Rose Quarz. I think I’d like this but in a different color.

Cruiser Shorts

Flashback Pullover

There was a time when I would have gone crazy over this pullover being re-released. I used to have one a few years ago and sold it when it was too big. And then I searched for a replacement for it but never found one in the color and size I wanted. Now that it’s hear I just prefer the Meditate Pullover better since it’s a much simpler design and layers over a tank a bit better.  I’ve heard  though that one US store got these in today in Heathered Indigo/Navy (Pictured Below). That one I’m sure is delicious but I’m still taking a pass.

OOTD: Run and Crossfit

by Cristina April 23, 2012
written by Cristina

This weekend I had the Engineered Bodies/Lululemon Coquitlam Functional Fitness Workshop on Saturday and it was really great. I learned that I have limited range of motion in my lower body due to tight hamstrings, a tilted hip and tight low back. It was really eye opening to learn that after a few exercises that isolate my hamstrings I could touch my toes after which I’ve never before been able to do. After the hour long workshop all participants were emailed a PDF of all the exercises and stretches that will help to correct some of these deficiencies we have and with improving these limitations we will be better able to do the sports we love to do wether it be running, crossfit, golf or whatever. I was really impressed at this level of specialized personal training that didn’t focus on just working out but actually correcting issues with the body that can be caused by compensating for injuries that have happened in the past, or just areas of tightness (from poor running posture or working at a desk all day, any occupational habbits really) that cause other areas of your body to work harder then they are supposed to.

Wearing my new Porcelain Swiftly Tech LS and my black Ebb and Flow Crops. The fit of the Porcelain Swiftly Tech LS is more relaxed than all my other Swiftly Tech LS’s in the same size, I kinda like the looser fit though. It’s not enough to size down in my opinion, I just wish my other LS’s fit more like this one.

excuse the grimace, I was trying hard to follow instructions
which were ‘lower..lower..come on get down deeper’

Saturday I went for a short 4 mile run and I wore my Heathered Paris Pink CRB and my Chase Me Crops. I love my Chase Me Crops and how they feel on but good lord, they cause me some serious muffin top. Good thing I run alone.

This morning I went to the 6am crossfit and it was a major shoulder workout day. Box dips and Clean and Jerks after a warmup of shoulder presses. So nice to have the workout done so early in the day but man I’m still not used to getting up that early for a workout. I wore my Deep Indigo Ebb and Flow Crops, my White Jacquard Mesh CRB (favorite CRB!) and my Porcelain Ta Ta Tamer. Oh, I also took my Swiftly Tech LS with me as a layer but I didn’t really need it.

The Flashback Pullover is Back!

by Cristina April 21, 2012
written by Cristina

Big thanks to ‘Ms. K’ for sharing, her Canadian store (Polo Park) has a shipment in today of Coal Flashback Pullovers. I love this pullover but unless it comes in the thin loopy cotton french terry (like the Meditate Pullover), it’ll be too warm for me. I love the thickness of the Meditate Pullover for cool summer nights.  Last years Flashback Pullover was thinner than the previous year so I’m thinking this one will also be the same. I’d also like it in a color other than grey or black. Dune or white may be nice, or Porcelain. The store also got in the ‘Hold Me Close Crops’. Will post as soon as I learn more.
