These look like they may be luxtreme
Om Pants
These aren’t my style but the material (Swift) is silky soft like the 4-way stretch Speed Shorts
There were a few new items in store today but the most notable item was this Covers It All Dress priced at $98. It’s another multi way scarf/dress/shrug item made out of two layers of Vitasea fabric in a tube shape. I was sceptical of it at first glance since I wasn’t quite sure how to put it on other than wearing it as a shrug or a scarf. I’d probably never wear it as a dress but I am intrigued by it as a tunic length top. When worn as a dress the back is quite exposed from the top of the butt up to the shoulders but it’s not so bad when you layer a cute tank underneath it. The fabric also felt quite thick and warm since it’s a double layer of vitasea and it also drapes quite a bit so thats a lot of fabric bulk on a hot day. Wearing it as a shrug is cute too but since the cut out in the back isn’t centred one sleeve will be longer than the other. I’m not tempted by it enough to race back to the store to buy one but I would like to see a few more shots on how to wear this as a top.

| I think this was my favorite way, just wish there was a bit of a short sleeve on this rather than it being a tank |
Thanks to a reader for sharing this email she got from Lululemon in regards to her online order of clam digger crops. After my post about the crops (here), some readers where discussing how they tried the crops on in store and they had such a strong fishy odor that they left the crops behind. The odor was strong enough to fill the fitting room and one reader thought it was her running shoes. Not all the crops in all stores have this odor but it seems like some of them have been plagued with this issue. Over on Lulu Addict a reader mentioned in the comments section that that specific smell was caused by a Formaldehyde spray used on retail clothing as a preservative that keeps clothing looking crisp and fresh and prevents growth of bacteria and to ensure color fastness (are they over spraying to prevent color leaching in transit?). The odor happens when the spray isn’t cured properly or when too much is used. Lululemon has not confirmed that this is the issue, however this is the speculation. I personally never wash my new clothing before I wear (except for undergarments of course) but now that I know that formaldehyde is used (which is a carcinogen!) I’m a bit horrified that this chemical stew just sits on my skin while I sweat. If you suffer from eczema, this will exacerbate it.
So there you have it. If you ordered the crops and your order status was ‘not shipped’ you will eventually get your order once those items have aired out. The rest of us have learned a little something about how clothing retailers prepare their garments for sale. To learn more, read ‘Is Your Clothing Laced With Formaldehyde?’
Fit Report: Lilac Extra Long CRB and Heathered Deep Indigo Daily Tank
As I mentioned earlier today I’m pretty bummed out by my new Lilac CRB that just arrived this afternoon since it’s luxtreme and not luon like it states on the website. The sheen on the pearlized luxtreme really prevents me from wearing this as a casual layer and at this price point it needs that kind of closet versatility. I thought I’d show you pictures of the two items I ordered since we haven’t seen any pictures posted by stores yet. I do really like the Daily Tank in this color but it’s quite thin, and because it’s heathered I can tell it will quickly form pills. The colors are gorgeous but I think I need to be ruthless and send these back.
Heathered Lilac Pearl Luxtreme Extra Long Cool Racerback Tank
Heathered Deep Indigo Daily Tank
So I just received my Extra Long Cool Racerback Tank in heathered lilac and expected it to be luon light based on the description, and expected it to be extra soft (based on the same colored luon used on the In Stride) and sadly it is pearl luxtreme. It’s beautiful but I probably would not have ordered it had I known. Now I have to decide if I will get as much wear in this fabric or if i should return it. I do like my peal luxtreme CRB’s for working out but they just don’t get used for casual wear since it looks more athletic, and I like the versatility of my CRB’s getting doube duty. I’m also now convinced that ‘metallic Silver’ items are actually the old pearl luxtreme heathered pigeon being recycled.
*pure speculation, not confirmed*
Did you order Clam Digger Crops in last nights upload from the US/International side? Has your order been cancelled? Earlier today someone noticed that the website inventory of the Clam Digger Crops on the international side was all of a sudden ‘sold out’ in all colors despite the fact that it had just shown as available stock. The Canada side still has sizes available in the Clam Diggers but some are speculating that they were pulled from the International site instead of selling out. A reader just wrote in telling me that her order placed immediately last night in all colors and has now received a ‘order shipped’ email stating that the items were NOT shipped status.
Sneak Peek From Down Unda: Diversity Tank Mirage Print and Pow Pink My Mantra LS
An Australian store just posted these new items in the latest colors, Engineered Mirage Print in the Vitasea Diversity Tank and what I’m pretty sure is Pow Pink in the My Mantra LS. The first run of the My Mantra, I liked but found that since it’s one layer of thin vitasea it showed a lot of imperfections (where the double layer cabin ls’s would normally hide everything). I do really like it in this color though so I want to try it on and see, maybe in a size up it will have a more relaxed fit rather than being so form fitting. Some North American stores are also listing Diversity Wunder Unders in the the Engineered Mirage Print, I’m sure they will be quite sheer in the white portions of the print.

Heathered Pop Orange Define Jacket
