Scoop Me Up Tank

Scoop Me Up TankCuter than I expected with the ruching at the bust but not sure it replaces the supportiveness and sturdyness of the wider strapped Scoop Neck Tank. It also looks like this has a narrow bust which will create much more cleavage and that lower seam cutting across the middle of the bust.

Color Comparison: Bruised Berry, Lolo Purple

by Cristina June 21, 2012
written by Cristina

Thanks to Leanne for sharing this picture comparison of Bruised Berry and Lolo Purple (Bruised Berry In Stride on left, Lolo Scuba centre and Bruised Berry Flow Y right). There is a difference in fabrics here so it’s not a presice comparison but it’s a pretty good idea of the differences between the shades. Bruised Berry is one of those cameleon colors since it photographs blue but in person it’s definitely a purple. I find it’s different even within different fabrics. Luxtreme looks closer to blue where as Luton looks closer to purple.

Scoop Me Up Tank Replacing Scoop Neck Tank

by Cristina June 21, 2012
written by Cristina

I think I’m just not good with change. I’m not even a Scoop Neck Tank fan especially (though I really do find it flattering on people and have been meaning to get one since last Christmas), but this change along with the gusset design change in the latest pants, the change in product line focus etc. is really making me feel very uncomfortable. Will you miss the Scoop Neck Tanks?

Sneak Peek From Down Unda: Pop Orange Define

by Cristina June 21, 2012
written by Cristina

Australia now has the new Pop Orange Define Jacket (I think it’s heathered) and we’ll probably see it  out next week or for July (start of the new color palette). This color looks fantastic on blondes but it’s definitely not a color for me. I’m more excited about the new upcoming print called Mirage (click here for the post on the new print). I’m super excited about that one.

I think this is a new White/Silver Metallic Define Jacket

Pop Orange and Bruised Berry Swiftly, Ray Speed Shorts and More

I’ve decided I’m definitely not an orange person (selling my Dazzling Swiftly SL) but this is a pretty orange.

Pop Orange
Bruised Berry

Worn with the Run: Shorty Short

This Cool Racerback (Seaside Dot) is extremely sheer due to the polyester content. I think it’s actually even sheerer than past white polyester Cool Racerbacks. Nice for showing off bra colors but not great if you have the slightest imperfections to hide or if you like modesty. Oh well, I’m happy passing on a polyester CRB since I know Bruised Berry is nylon.

Ray Speed Shorts. Very Cute!

Fit Review: Bruised Berry In Stride Jacket

by Cristina June 20, 2012
written by Cristina

So the other night I’d said I wasn’t going to order this In Stride because I wanted to see it in store first. At the last second before shutting the computer down for the night I opted to order it just in case. I’d also mentioned that there have been a few mentions of the Define Jacket in this color feeling scratchy and rough, which I keep forgetting to check for myself but I’m happy to report that this beauty is soft (not heathered Luon or RULU soft though). It’s 87% Nylon with no polyester, just like solid CRB’s. I haven’t decided about the dot placement yet though. All the dots are pretty small except for the upper right of the logo which is ever so slightly larger but they are pretty uniform, balanced and subtle. Do I stick with this small more uniform dot or do I go with a larger dot that’s a bit more obvious and lop sided with the fade? Either way, this jacket is gorgeous and I love the color. It’s totally a replacement for my logo purple one (wish I could compare the two solid colors though). Can’t wait for the Cool Racerback in this color. So nice to be excited about the product again. For size reference, I’m a size 10 but prefer sizing down to an 8 in the In Strides which is what this one is.

Say No To Camel Toe and The Disappearing Gussets!

by Cristina June 20, 2012
written by Cristina

Back in May 2010 Lululemon wrote a blog post titled Yoga Pants: Why We Love the Gusset explaining the virtues of the gusset design they use, as well as this now famous (and hi-larious!) ad in Runner’s World saying Say No To Camel Toe. It seems though the gusset design has recently changed to a triangle shape rather than the old diamond shape. Not only that but the placement of the new gusset is farther back in the rear and not doing such a great job of preventing camel toe as it’s no where near ‘that area’. Comparing the two designs (I used a 3rd pair of Wunder Under pants that did not photograph well since they are black but the difference was much more apparent in person), you can also see that the angle within the legs is quite a bit wider and the legs are much farther apart. I hadn’t exactly noticed the gusset change but what I did notice with trying on a recent pair of Power Purple WU’s was that I had to make several adjustments in the fitting room to prevent the dreaded CT where as in my old pair I don’t have to adjust them at all. A few other readers have mentioned that they noticed it when checking their rears for sheerness (an awful and recent change in the Wunder Unders – I didn’t share pictures of Ray Sheerness. You’re welcome for that) that all of a sudden there is this big ugly triangular gusset conspicuously placed right over their rears in full view.  I’m not sure why this change has occurred in the design. Looking at the two gussets it doesn’t appear that the new one is all that much smaller than the old one so I’m not sure that it’s a cost saving measure in materials unless the change in the entire garment reflects overall less fabric used but it’s not looking like that. Either way, this change doesn’t seem to be working well with some of us. I think the biggest contributer to the problem is the placement of this new gusset and the wider angle of the legs. I’m hoping this gets corrected (or tweaked a bit at least) soon and that perhaps some garment testing can be done prior to sending to the stores. The items reported to have the new gusset are all of the Flash/Flash Light versions of WU’s, Deep Indigo, Power Purple and Ray, Beachy Floral, the Bruised Berry Polocross Crops and presumably newer grooves/groove crops etc.

Have you readers noticed the change in gusset or perhaps had problems with the CT when you normally wouldn’t? Is it an improvement in design for you?
