The Latest + New Lululemon Shopper

by Cristina August 9, 2012
written by Cristina

I got this new lululemon shopper at my store today which were made especially for the Wanderlust Festival in Whistler so I’m thinking these are probably just for Vancouver area stores. I think this one is my top favorite of all the shoppers they’ve had and second to the Superwoman Shopper from last year. The graphics on this are really cute showing Whistler Village. Cute, Cute, Cute!!!

Run: Make a Break Jacket

You can see in most of the pictures how fitted this jacket is on most, especially if you have curves.

Really not a fan of the zipper on this jacket. I think a sturdier jacket should have been used.

 Run: Speed Squad Shorts

I’m actually interested in trying these on. I just wish both shorts where longer since I suspect the under short will hit me too high and the over short may get the diaper-crotch look on me which I get on shorts like the speed shorts. The Turbos length is a win for me.

Presence of Mind LS and Modern Tranquil Pant

These keep getting listed as Power Purple Run: Inspires but I’m almost certain they are bruised berry

Run: Team Spirit SS and Run: Speed Squad Skirt

No drawcord on the hood of this jacket unfortunately

Run: Swiftly 1/2 Zip

I’m in mad love with the Power Purple one I got. I was initially unsure if I’d keep it or get the LS version with the chevron print thats coming but I’m settled on the 1/2 zip.

No Limit Tank in Grey Wee Caspian and the Power Purple WU’s with zig zag embossed

Cool Racerback Tank in Light Ray

I haven’t seen it in person yet but one of the stores described it as a cross between tangerine and mango. Yum!

No Limit Tank in Power Purple

I’m infatuated with the one I got. Power Purple is just gorgeous!

Heathered Power Purple CRB

This one and my Heathered Coal are my softest ever.

Clean Green for Ivivva. Is it Making a Comeback? And Triple Flip Find

by Cristina August 9, 2012
written by Cristina

Over on the Ivivva site there is a Double Dutch Tank II (Ivivva equivalent to No Limit Tank) in Clean Green and I’m hopeful that means we may be seeing it come over to the grown ups side of lululemon, especially since we just saw Portapottie (reference to hotboxing porta poties?). We saw Power Purple over on the Ivivva side about a month before we got any items on the lulemon side and right now they also have items in Flash. The two sides sharing color palettes is pretty hit or miss but I think they should really consider capitalizing on the mother/daugther matchy-matchy outfits because that is really fun. haha not! but still, I’d love to see Clean Green, Savage or Portapottie make a comeback.

My mall recently got a new store called Triple Flip which is pretty much an Ivivva store right down to luon tanks, headbands and jackets. It’s all pretty cute but the pricing is along the same lines as Ivivva, ever so slightly cheaper. I’d love to try some items out from them eventually but I need to get in there without the double stroller. Right now they have a lot of items in ‘heathered power purple’ which was what drew me into the store today. Low and behold I found a luon infinity scarf in heathered power purple (Pixie to them), bigger then the Ivivva versions, for $18. I was pretty tempted but decided to think about it since I’m not a scarf wearer. It’s a perfect length for an adult who doesn’t like a lot of excess fabric.

Sea Wheeze Nike Frees?

by Cristina August 8, 2012
written by Cristina

An eagle eyed reader noticed on the picture on the lululemon website for the Run: Speed Squad Skirt that the model is wearing Nike Frees in Sea Wheeze colors! There is also a twitter picture of a cake lululemon had made to celebrate the Sea Wheeze training completion. I wonder if these Specialty Nike Frees where customized just for photo shoots or if they will be for sale at the Sea Wheeze store for all participants.

No Limit Tank Power Purple

This one is even more gorgeous in person where you can actually see the zig zag embossed print in the bra portion.

No Limit Tank Deep Coal/ Ziggy Wee Greys

Power Purple Swiftly Tech 1/2 Zip with Run: Speed Squad Short

I love power purple in the swiftly material and really loved the 1/2 zip but I may exchange it in favor of the cheaper LS version even though I’m not sure I love the chevron print on it. We’ll see though because I have LS’s already and no 1/2 zip version so it may be worth having one on hand. I use these swiftlys a lot for Crossfit

Currant Swiftly Tech 1/2 Zip

Power Purple Scuba Hoodie and heathered Power Purple Cool Racerback

So gorgeous! I can’t justify a Scuba otherwise I would have gotten this one too. The CRB though, that one is mine, mine, mine. I’ve read that the heathered power purple CRB is uber soft.

Fit Review: Run: Make A Break Jacket and Odds and Ends

by Cristina August 7, 2012
written by Cristina

Run: Make A Break Jacket

I tried on my TTS 10 and it was, as you can see from the picture, quite snug and fitted around my torso. This surprised me quite a bit since it doesn’t look like it would fit snug but my Hustle Jackets are both comfortably size 8, the Inspire Jacket was a TTS 10 on me and this one I’d only consider getting it in a 12. The arms where roomy enough to layer a swiftly underneath but the mid section was very narrow and fitted. I otherwise liked this jacket for it’s simple design. Another thing to note though is the zipper on this one was quite sticky and flimsy plasticy feeling. I foresee that zipper being a problem

Some pictures were uploaded on the Sea Wheeze twitter page. Adorable!!! I’m so excited for this. I really think they have gone above and beyond for the entry fees we paid. We are getting an awesome scarf apparently, flip flops, these cute bags, an awesome medal, a catered brunch and all of the events surrounding the race. I’m signing up for next year again for sure!!

I saw these compression socks in store today and although I feel they are way overpriced at $48 and more then I want to spend on socks but I think they feel a lot nicer and softer/silkier then last years version. I have last years and they were great but I think these ones are a lot nicer and made of nicer material with more even compression.

Neither of these Cool Racerbacks were in store today sadly, I wanted to see light flash in person since I hadn’t ordered it. I did try on the Power Purple No Limit Tank in a size 8 and it fit perfectly. Glad I ordered the size down on that one. I loved the zig zag pattern on the bra, too. My store finally got a deliver of the Power Purple Define Jackets and I picked thru them and the stitching was pretty solid on all of the ones I looked at. I ended up getting my size 12 finally and will return my size 10 for those of you wondering.

Welcome to Vancouver!

by Cristina August 7, 2012
written by Cristina

Hi! I’m Lulumum and I’ll be your tour guide today 🙂  I thought I’d share some of my favorite places to dine and grab coffee in Vancouver using Placeling  for those of you coming in for the Sea Wheeze this weekend. I’ll try and update the map as I think of places but if you download the app onto your phone you can keep tabs of the places I add while you are in the city. I’m a big coffee drinker so you wont see any Starbucks stops here, only the very best for my friends. If you venture out of the downtown core I have two spots in Little Italy, Commercial Drive, that has the worlds best pizza place and the truest italian lattes. You can also wander around there and find a couple of awesome Italian Bakeries and Gelato places.  You can even find poutine on Commmerial Drive!!!  It’s a pretty neat interactive map, You can move the map around and look for my placemarks and read descriptions. I’m going to add a page on my blog for this map too so you can grab it anytime if you don’t wish to download the app.

Dangerous upload for me! I ordered the Power Purple Cool Racerback, No Limit Tank and Swiftly 1/2 Zip (not sure if I’d rather have just the LS). What did you guys order tonight? I love the look of the Run Make a Break Jacket but can’t justify it.

Light Flare Cool Racerback Tank

by Cristina August 7, 2012
written by Cristina

Here is the new Light Flare Cool Racerback in natural light. It’s confirmed in a product alert email that the color is indeed Flare Light. It’s gorgeous and I really like it but I just recently got Pop Orange and since I’m not an orange lover I’ll count that as my one and only. I’m definitely getting the Heathered Power Purple and waiting for the Dense Purple Cool Racerback that we got a sneak peek of.
