Lululemon Sued Over Executive Bonus Structure Increases Ahead Of Recall
Oh Lululemon executives, you are such an embarrassment to the brand. It’s a crying shame. Lululemon is being sued by a pension fund shareholder (firefighter and police) over the executive bonus structure increase that happened immediately before, or immediately following the sheer pants recall. Executive increased their bonus structure up to 200% of their base income (which if you look at their incomes, that is a disgustingly large figure) based on hitting performance targets. The fund asserts that the bonus hike represents a breach of the boards obligations to the company and it’s shareholders, because the board was aware of the problem that lead to the recall. According to the complaint, Lululemon’s compensation committee approved an amendment to the company’s executive bonus plan on March 13 – after the company was aware of the problem with the Luon pants, but before it pulled them from stores. Shady, shady I tell ya! The board appears “to have violated it’s fiduciary obligations and damaged the company and it’s shareholders“.

Another Lululemon Celebrity sighting. Do you guys watch the show Girls? I really love it. Although Allison William’s character Marnie is not my favorite. Here she is wearing a black Define Jacket and Concord Grape Power Vinyasa Crops. Looks like she’s doing a crossfit style workout and attempting an assisted pull up.
Finally!! I’ve been waiting to see pictures of the Light Soot Studio Crops. I purchased these the other day but I’m torn on wether or not I’m keeping them. The problem is that I like wearing jeans and I like at least attempting to look a bit fashionable and not fall to ‘athletic clothing as street wear’ for my daily wear. But the crops are practical for my lifestyle. If it’s something I can mix and match real clothes with to make it look stylish then it gets a pass (like CRB’s). Gym clothes are no brainers, ‘active wear’ takes a little more consideration. This blog, Guest Etc. is such an inspiring resource but I’m rather uncreative when it comes to styling. Obviously the answer to my conundrum with the Studio Crops is to get a denim jacket and a pretty scarf. And not wear the studio crops to parties.
Zippy Green
People are really going crazy over this color but I’ve never been a big fan of the neons like Ray or Wild Lime. Maybe I’d get a CRB but I don’t see myself reaching for it. I guess I like the jewel tones most of all.
Color Comparison: Soot Light to Blurred Grey, Magnum, Wren, Coal and Deep Coal
Thanks to Ms. H for this awesome color comparison of all the grey studio pants. I’ve had a lot of people asking if Wren and Soot Light where fairly similar so this is really a useful picture. I myself wondered about Coal/Deep Coal vs. Light Soot. I really like how warm of a grey it is. It’s going to pair beautifully with my Power Purple CRB, Mac N Cheese CRB and my Bleached Coral Rejuvenate Hoodie.

Color Comparison: Zippy Green and Faded Zap, A Picture Of Power Purple CRB
Faded Zap Energy Bra on top of Zippy Green Energy Bra. Thanks to Ms. H for this picture, she notes that both colors are much more vibrant in person.
Gorgeous Power Purple Cool Racerback Tank (picture thanks to Ms. B). Note, it’s made in Canada! This is one of my top five favorite lululemon colors of all time.
Tons of pictures today of the Power Purple Studio Crops but so far none of the Light Soot Studio Crops. I ended up picking up the Light Soot today because I’d heard that the elastic around the waist was different so I am hopeful that that change was a deliberate solution to the rolling waistbands that people have been experiencing for the past year. So far I think it is because it’s a bit of a stiffer ribbon compared to the last pair of Studio Pants I owned. The plastic ends on the ribbon aren’t my favorite look, but if it’s sturdier I can deal. I love Power Purple but ultimately I chose the Light Soot because it’s way more versatile and will go with every single one of my CRB’s where Power Purple will match three of them. Plus, it’s a really pretty grey.
Drish Tee
I sort of like the shape of this Drish Tee and the waffle print. I think I’d try it out if it ever reaches markdown ($19-$29 range)
Clarity Tank
Front Racer Tank
Light Hearted Tank with Street To Studio Crops
I’m kind of weirded out by this trend of sheer tops paired sheer pants.
The Latest! Bold Stripe Zippy Green Power Y and Power Purple Studio Crops
This Bold Stripe Zippy Green print may be cute in a CRB. There is also a solid Power Purple CRB out in some stores (my store didn’t have them). I’m gonna need the solid Power Purple. I have last years heathered Power Purple but it pilled after two wears and is very flimsy and thin so I really have avoided wearing it at all despite it being one of my favorite colors. Since they are doing reruns of last summers colors, I honestly would not mind Angel Blue and Bordeaux Drama making a comeback. Whatever. This year for Lululemon is a wash anyways.
