April started warming up design and colorwise for me and there were a few goodies I got this month. Some items I admired from afar, and others I had to have. There definitely were still some big flops though as you will see in the last few photos. Lots of weird shaped tanks in burnout material (which I loath at Lululemon prices) and sheerness in the luon as well. A big bright spot of the month for me though was the return of ‘Made in Canada’ luon tanks, and especially a return to the old luon Power Y’s

Pinstripe Wunder Unders and Elongate Burnout Tee

These wunder unders where such a big hit. I think they sold out really quickly. I didn’t end up getting a pair myself.

What I did buy though, after seeing my Crossfit coach model them as our stores ambassador, was the Wee Stripe Ghost/Coal Inspire Crops. 

I didn’t buy this Rest Day Pullover because the neck always bugged me but I really do like the look of them and in Fresh Teal I thought it was especially cute. 

My ‘Made In Canada’ Very Green Power Y. Love this tank. Hardly wear Power Y’s to Crossfit but I really love it anyways. 

Transparency Jacket hit steep markdown pretty quickly. Cute in Fresh Teal but I didn’t bite the bullet on it. 

Twiggy Print was not my favourite. It came in this Power Purple colorway as well as a grey/white version

Sheer luon continued

Open Soul Tank

I really disliked the shape of this tank as well as the color blocking.

March was definitely an interesting month of Lulu with the sheerness issue and the pants recall. It got even more ‘interesting’ to watch it go down as stores made jokes and puns about the issue while media went into frenzy reporting on the situation incessantly, leaving customers utterly embarrassed to be the butt of jokes with media and Lululemon. Besides pantsgate, March was when I started to get a little bit more interested in the design offerings and colors. 

I really loved the Out And About Pants and got a pair in black. For some reason I sold them when the weather got too warm to wear and now I really regret it. Maybe one day I’ll hunt these down again. 

Very Green was a hit. I really loved the v neck swiftly with the stripe pattern on it. This was a very different swiftly item compared to what we’ve seen before. 

Stash And Dash Pullovers where really cute but I didn’t buy one because I didn’t love the material. I was really loving the look of the faded zap one though. 

Flow & Go Tanks are always hot sellers. This is one of those items that at one point sold on ebay for well over retail. 

We got a first glimpse at Frangipani print. 

This years special Christmas posts will be in the format of 12 Days Of Christmas. Each of the 12 days will represent a month of this past year and I will show a couple of samples from that months designs, either awesome or awesomely terrible…maybe one of each. On the last day, I will pick my favourites of the year for you. Please feel free to post in the comments your absolute favourite purchase of the year or your biggest flop.

This jacket was gorgeous in Frond. 

Layer Me LS

Although I really detested all the color blocking that had carried over from last year, I did quite like the color blocking that was used in the Dune/Black/Bleached Coral colorway and especially on this pullover. I think January/February/March where the months I spent the least amount on Lululemon. 

Street To Studio Jacket

I actually quite liked this jacket but it was an unfortunate length on me so I ended up returning it. Since this jacket came out immediately after reports of the Dance Studio Jacket being discontinued, this jacket was not received well as a replacement for the DSJ as it could have otherwise been recieved. I think this jacket was great in its own right, however it is definitely not a replacement for the DSJ. 

Surf To Studio Jacket

This jacket was really quite popular but overpriced at $139 and so it sat for months in stores. Many people loved it but held out for it for WMTM for a really long time and eventually got it for a decent price.  The luon was really great on this jacket. One thing that turned me off though was that the pockets where not zippered. 

Two To Make It True Jacket

This is a jacket design that I really didn’t care for at all, but it was reversible and extremely soft. It made it to markdown really quickly but was featured on the Guest Etc. blog where I got to see its very fashionable potential.
