Again, only able to access the French Canada side of the website. Photos below in French are from the Canadian upload, and in English are from the US upload. The Zest Cool Racerback is really strange looking – every other item in Zest actually looks yellow but the Cool Racerback looks murky. Almost like the underarm yellowing that shirts sometimes get. I thought at first that it was heathered which changed the color but it’s not. No order for me tonight but I picked up the Bruised Berry Cool Racerback in store this morning.

Product Drop Monday/Fit Review/Color Comparison: Bruised Berry ad Heathered Opal Cool Racerbacks

Woohoo!! Thanks to an awesome reader for tipping me off that Vancouver stores got the Bruised Berry and Heathered Opal Cool Racerbacks in. I picked up both, but I’m only going to keep Bruised Berry now that I’m home and compared Heathered Opal to Heathered Menthol and Bali Breeze. The material on the Heathered Opal is much more subtly heathered than menthol, and its also slicker. It’s not exactly icky feeling (47% Polyester), but its not as nice feeling or looking as Heathered Menthol and compared to the two other colors it is rather insipid. The Bruised Berry is divine though. Thick and stretchy, all Nylon Lycra and very opaque. 

I went with my usual Cool Racerback size in both, size 10. I don’t normally wear my CRB’s with jeans because, well, muffin top, but for the purposes of quick fit review here they are. 

*I forgot to mention. Both tanks are reversible and even have the old variegated stitching. It looks like both are dark grey to light grey variegated but the Bruised Berry is actually a dark purple variegated.

Normally I work out Saturday and Sunday mornings but I wasn’t able to this weekend. I had surgery back in March with a groin incision which had healed up perfectly but for some reason, Friday night my incision looked really gnarly and angry so I stopped in at the ER Saturday morning to check it out and it turns out I had a big blood blister caused by dissolvable stitches in the deeper layer having not dissolved. Boo to that. Anyways, by Saturday night the scar opened up a bit and so I took it easy and didn’t work out so that it could heal a bit. Back at it today though, I just took it easy. 

800 Meter Run, then three rounds of 5 pullups/ 10 pushups, 15 air squats

Hang Power Snatch practice for 25 minutes, work to heavy


WOD
Metcon (amrap) for 9 minutes

14 Hang Power Snatch at 65#

21 Box Jumps

I managed three rounds, but the snatches where super taxing at that weight (even though my 1rep is double that) so I had to split them up in reps of 7, 4, 3. It was an off day weight wise for me but I was also being very gingerly about how I lifted due to my incision. I wore my Inner Heart Bra, I love the look of it but it is lower cut on the sides than my Energy Bra so it feels tighter and cuts into my lats. I like the square neckline though. Also wore my Black Swan Cool Racerback and my Roll Down Wunder Unders in Black Camo.

Camouflage Wunder Under Crops

A store posted that they got these Camouflage Wunder Under Crops in, but they will be ‘product dropped’ tomorrow. I would expect if your store didn’t get the camo items last week after the upload it will be there tomorrow. I took a peek in at my local store today and they had a few Camo WU’s but only one or two sizes – not sure if that means they had them and sold out or they only put out a small ‘taste’. I’m hoping to see the solid Bruised Berry Cool Racerback tomorrow. It’ll be the July product upload tomorrow so I’m feeling anxious about the Tuck And Flow LS’s, but I think they wont be released until we are well into July (August 5 last year, on Upload Monday).
