A shopping post for you while we wait for the Lululemon upload of course.
Because of the low Canadian dollar, and despite getting a bit of cash for Christmas from my parents, I don’t think I’ll be partaking in this Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale online this time despite spotting many items I’m coveting. I’m thinking I’ll go to the store downtown tomorrow to see if any of these items are also on sale in Canada. #1 on my list (which I’ve been wanting a very long time) are the Uggs Ansley Slippers. I also really like the Nike Vintage Sweatpants which I tried on a few months ago. Another thing I’ve been toying with is getting the North Face Osito Jacket (sherpa fleece) and returning the Lululemon Snowballer Jacket.

I was surprised to see a What We Love today for what I think is next weeks upload. Or possibly this is a preview for tomorrow/Boxing Day upload. I am happy to see nothing I need in this preview.
Honk Kong was the only site yesterday that didn’t get an upload but it popped up sometime this afternoon. I’m happy to see Peacock Blue is coming in for Spring. I have the Think Fast Pullover in Peacock Pique but I’m not 100% certain I want to keep it and I’m happy to see there will be more items in the color to choose from.

Early upload this week! I think this means no upload tomorrow but I bet we will see one on Friday morning which will include new items on the What’s New landing page as well as We Made To Much items for Boxing Day. There has always been a Christmas Day upload for boxing day but the times have varied from early morning to around 9pm. I can’t guarantee I’ll have an upload post up in a timely manner that day but I will get to it as soon as I can.
From this upload, the Scuba Hoodie III was the winner. I picked it up in store this morning though so I didn’t have to order it online. It’s soft like my Heathered Bark Berry and it’s gorgeous in person and fits the same as Bark Berry. The Raspberry Cool Racerback is also quite pretty but I don’t wear a lot of dark pink. I am really tempted by the Aquamarine Herringbone Runderful 1/2 Zip but I am talking myself out of it. As pretty as aquamarine is, it washes me out and I don’t need a pullover.
I’m super curious about that Cashmere sweater the US got but I want to know quality details. $228 is a hefty price tag when you can get really good quality Cashmere for $100 or less. $228 should buy you very, very good cashmere.

Hooray! My store had the Heathered Fuel Green Scuba Hoodie III in today and I have been waiting for it forever. In store under the store lighting it looked slightly washed out but in natural light and at home it’s quite vibrant and pretty. I can’t wait to pair it with Vintage Pink. I believe my store also had the &GO Where To Long Sleeve Dress but I was in a mad dash in and out so didn’t get to inspect it closely. Not a lot else new in store.
I’m heading to Lululemon later this morning so I will give you a proper Lululemon update as soon as I can. In the meantime I wanted to share with you my costco finds this weekend which I think you guys might appreciate.
I’m often asked what jeans I’m wearing in my fit reviews (I’m a jeans over leggings girl) and it is almost always Hudson Jeans but I also wear J Brand Jeans and Paige Jeans a lot. I don’t ever pay full price for premium denim though because I’m cheap and I wear jeans out pretty quickly so I always hunt for them at Nordstrom Rack or buy a pair at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale wether I need them at the moment or not. Sub $100 for jeans is what I’m looking for and $69USD seams to be what I almost always find them for. Unfortunately with the Canadian dollar what it is at, my cheap denim procurement source has dried up. My sister called me up on Saturday and told me that the Costco by her house (Still Creek in Burnaby, BC) has Hudson Jeans on for $69. I was dubious that they would be the true Hudson quality but when I went to inspect them they were the same Nico Super Skinny Jeans that I tried on at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale but didn’t end up buying. I really loved them then and I love these now. They come in this denim blue, and black and sizes 27, 28, 29 and 30. I’m typically a size 31 and very occasionally a 32 depending on the cut and stretch but I decided to grab the 30’s on a small hope that they’d fit tight and that I’d slim down enough to wear them. When I got home and tried them on I was so happy that they actually fit and fit well without being tight. The rise is a higher mid rise so they hit at a narrower part of my waist and the denim is very stretchy (without bagging out). I believe these are the Elyssium denim that Nordstrom has on their website. If you have a Costco in your area, definitely check it out. The Costco near my house doesn’t have this but I’ve learned that there are Costco’s that carry higher end items (Vancouver, Still Creek Burnaby and Richmond) so those stores should have them. These jeans are on for $69 CAD but retail for $238. That is a better deal for me than even my Nordstrom Rack finds!
Another item I found was these Cashmere Sweaters. I was tempted by the upcoming Lululemon Cashmere Sweater that is to upload tomorrow but I am anticipating the price will be over $200, and we won’t know the quality of the Cashmere and if it will be 2-ply or 1-ply. No bother! Costco has these on for $59 and they are quality, 2-ply and they fit really beautifully. TTS. The black one I got in my size since that was what they had, and the grey and black striped one I got in a size up for a loose fitting oversized look. I like them both a lot.
