Yogini Dance Jacket and Challenge Crop. Not so bad in the front, kind of reminds me of the Shape Jacket. It has a metal looking zipper but it’s actually plastic and pretty smooth. But it’s also quite shiny.

Chai Time Sweater. It’s a very lovely top and I love the style. Wish is my favourite color and I think Wish colored knits have an elegant sheen to them. I’m tempted but the price at $88 really makes me step back. I’d like to see this under the Christmas tree for me but I don’t want to ask for it. Surprise me, go ahead!

Ruffled SE Wunder Under Tights. Cute! This is about the amount of ruffle I like in one outfit.

Challenge Tank made out of silverescent Luon

Challenge Crops

Happy Heat Bra and Shorts. I saw this bra today in Persimmon and really liked it in the solid color.

These are the new Black Roses Print Relaxed Fit Pants. I quite love this new print on these pants and may need to return one of my stock piled Relaxed Fit Pants. These are not the brushed Luon version so this will be more for spring I think.
Looks like Oprah has had a pretty great effect on Lululemon stock. This is a 52 week high for Lululemon stock on the TSX which jumped from Friday at 51.39 to an all time high of 54.32 (5.8% higher) today ever since the Oprah’s Ultimate Favourite Things 2010 episode on Friday featuring Lululemon Relaxed Fit Pants. The high of the year was reached this morning at 11am. Here is an article from Yahoo News.
I’m happy to report that I wasn’t too terribly tempted by anything out of the huge shipment my store got today. I was mostly tempted to get another Post Run Pullover in Wish but I’m holding back because I want to see how well my Very Violet one wears. I’m in need of mitts but didn’t love the selection I saw in store. I think if I’d seen some items in Multi State of Mind print I probably would have lingered some more. A lot of the new items today (Silverescent Luon) were all black, and the other items were full of ruffle details that I wasn’t really in the mood for. My mood today was more along the lines of *brrrrrrrrr*.
All Colors of the Post Run Pullover. I’m eying Wish Blue.

New Define with Ruffle Detail..cute subtle ruffle on this.

SE Cool Racerback Tank. I really thought this was a cute and subtle ruffle. I was momentarily tempted by this Coal and Very Violet one. I put it back because I always layer my Cool Racerbacks unless it’s hot, hot out so the special ruffle detail would not be seen until the summer.

And a horrible shot of the same ruffle detail on the newest Stride. I’m dubious of Strides these days.
Yogi Dance Jacket. Did not care for this.
Some new Scuba Colors.
New knits Keep Me Cozy Ear Warmer I wrote about yesterday, Hickey Hider 2.0
I almost grabbed the mitts today for $34 as it is freeeeeezing blizzards out today. (-4 and very windy) in the end I put them back because they are pretty big on me and it’s too hard to maneuver around with kids with huge chunky mittens on.
Made of Rayon derived Bambo blended with Cashmere. The same fabric as the Express Yourself Wrap only thinner. Very cute sweater but it was $88 and a little pricey for me for something thin. You can see the Wish Blue one in the picture below is quite sheer.

Multi State of Mind Print. Love this and so do you, I just know it. That’s why it sold out so fast on the website.
New Silverescent Luon items! Anti Stink bonded silver yarns incorporated into the Luon. Feels a lot like a cross between Luon and Luxtreme. I saw lots of items in this new fabric such as leggings (wunder under type pants), a jacket (Challenge Jacket), a few tanks. Everything was black and the seam details reminded me of items the Lulu Lab has produced over the summer.
Based on this picture I really like the look of this tank. This looks really feminine with the ruffle at the lower back and in the front you get a nice A line shape with a longer length which means it wont be snug around the belly but just sort of skim your silhouette. It almost looks like a tunic length so I wonder if it’s meant to partially cover your bum. This version of the tank looks like Snorkel Blue, maybe Static Snorkel Blue. In Static Black this tank could almost pass as a dressy top, except the logo on the bottom left is a dead givaway for athletic wear. I would love to see how this tank looks paired with Wunder Unders. This would be very cute for dance lessons such as flamenco or tango. You have to wear a dress for that but some gals use a flamenco shall over leggings.

These new Cuddle Up Pants are made of Cotton Fleece which means they will be pretty thick and warm. It’s currently -4* here in Vancouver which feels more like Saskatoons -40* because of our damper weather so I’m thinking I’m going to have to finally cave and get something warm like this. I love the cinch cord at the bottom hem because when I’m at home I like to wear my pants pulled up like this so I don’t feel too warm.
Black, Heathered Charcoal, Classic Sports Grey size 4-12
Nancy from ‘Your Personal Lulu Shopper‘ was kind enough to share some information on this new Ear Warmer that the Lulu Lab has in their album. This is actually from the main Lululemon line and will be available in all stores and in more colors which is good because I’ve been eyeing it for some time but have been hoping for other colors. It’s not very stretchy and is 20 inches in diameter so may fit a bit snug. It’s lined with faux sherling and priced at $34.

All of the Relaxed Fit Pants except the Brushed Luon Relaxed Fit Pants are sold out for the most part. Did you buy a pair in anticipation of increased demand or are these new customer purchases? I notice the fan numbers on the Lululemon Facebook Page has increased by about 10 000 since Thursday. While I don’t watch Oprah very much I do read her magazine on occasion and find out what her latest book selection is because she has great selections. I’m currently reading Freedom, By Jonathan Franzen and it is such a great book. Even if I hadn’t seen it on Oprah the local bookstores display her picks prominently at the front of the store so that it’s the first thing you see and it would have been hard to miss. I think regardless of if you watch Oprah, the buzz she creates is contagious and sooner or later everyone catches on to what she’s promoting. What do you think?
Finally, here is The Vancouver Sun article about Lululemon Relaxed Fit Pants being featured on Oprah’s Ultimate Favourite Things List as well as my top favourite Coffee brand Ethical Bean that I buy weekly and did not even know was a Vancouver based company. It’s an amazing tasting coffee (and cheap at $12/lb) but I buy it because Starbucks seems to really gum up my espresso machine with it’s oils so this was the coffee I tried next and loved it from the start. I like the Sweet Espresso flavour but lately we’ve been using the Rocket Fuel flavour because my husband has been liking the bolder flavour better. And these two things, Lululemon and great coffee have been my favourite things to indulge in.

Lately my toddler has been revolting against sitting in her stroller by unclicking her straps and climbing out (Uppa Baby Pictured Below) which is understandable and fine for the most part since she should be able to explore and move around as toddlers do. But at times I need to have her strapped in to the stroller for her own safety and my sanity while I tend to her little sister or attempt Christmas shopping this holiday amongst the insane crowds. I’ve been so frustrated lately that every stroller I’ve looked at has had the same simple one button release mechanism which she can easily get out of. And I don’t like the idea of using things that would be hard to undo (knots, clips) that would not be simple to undo quickly in the case of an emergency. Well, the other day I had an awesome brainstorm. Yoga Mat Straps!!! I found the Click and Go Mat Straps the perfect solution. I can wrap it around the seat (hers is the bottom rumble seat) and she cannot unclick these ones and run off. This handy solution cost me $15 which is much easier then spending $$ on a whole new stroller which she would only be using for another few months anyways. And when were done with using this for it’s unintended purpose I can use it on my actual yoga matt.
