Despite my best efforts I brought home the Chai Time Pullover for an extended visit. Wish is my favourite color, particularly in knits…would you believe I only have one Wish Item and it’s a Cool Racerback. So you see why I just had to bring this one home. I’m warming to the price of $88 for it. But for that price it better be durable. I think I’m in the minority in that I love the Kangaroo pocket. If you hate them, this pocket is pretty low profile and doesn’t bag out. I got the Chai Time Pullover in a size 8 and it’s fits pretty much the same as in the picture below. It’s a shorter length top so if you like it longer you can go up a size. These raglan style long sleeve tops look pretty when there a bit baggy and off the shoulder so it wont look bad if you go up a size.

I saw these Relaxed Fit Pants today in this Black Roses Print along with a few other items (Gym Essentials Bag, Everywear Bag) and I love it up close. It looks very different from fabric to fabric but in these Relaxed Fit Pants you can actually see roses in the print. I think that the print looks much nicer on luon and luxtreme then it does in cotton. I would love a Cool Racerback in this print.
It was so funny, my friend (recently converted Lulu lover thanks to me) insisted we go in (twist my rubber arm) to buy herself some Oprah Pants today. There were several mid to late 50 yr old ladies standing around the pants wall asking questions about The Oprah Pants. I asked the Educator at the till about inventory and she said they knew about the show about a week prior so they have upped the production of the pants and although they are flying off the shelves the are replenishing stock.

The waist can be folded over and the ties at the front can be threaded thru on the reverse side if you prefer a lower waist.

The new Challenge Jacket has the same shorter in the back cut of the Scuba Shaped Hoodie. I don’t really like the look of a long in the front, short in the back jacket. $168 is way too pricey for a luon jacket anyways, even if it is Silverescent Luon. I would rather pay $178 for the Every Day Yoga Jacket.

Welcome back prints! I love that the Candlelight Tank is coming out in such fun prints. I wonder what this one is called.

This is the Coal and Very Violet Special Edition Cool Racerback that I saw in store yesterday and in the product notification. I love the little bit of ruffle detail on the back. But, I wont be wearing my Cool Racerbacks un layered until the summer so I can pass on this one.

This one caught my attention because it’s the first quoted comment directly from Lululemon that I’ve read regarding Oprahs Ultimate Favourite Things 2010 episode featuring the Relaxed Fit Pants. Here is the link to the Vancouver Sun article. Lululemon has been pretty low key about all of this which has made me a little curious to know what their comments are.
“We believe Oprah’s endorsement of lululemon introduced the product to many women that previously had little or no knowledge of the brand. For those already aware of (lululemon), Oprah’s mention likely boosted the brand’s image further.”
Minus the Challenge Jacket ($168) the new Challenge line has been uploaded this morning. The Challenge line is made of the new Silverescent Luon which has antibacterial and anti static qualities. The Challenge Tank and the Foundation Tank are both priced at $78. I think for that price I would like to see some pretty reflective design patterns on it..at least!
I think the idea is that you can do a 40 day Hot Yoga Challenge with these items and not have to wash your clothes between uses but I would probably be washing my clothes nightly anyways or alternating clothes.
Here is a good case of why seeing things on real life people makes a big difference. I totally mis judged the length of the Hustle Tank based on my first view of it in a product notification. I thought it may be a tunic length tank with ruffles hitting lower. I don’t dislike this one but I think I like my vision of it is better. It looks as though the ruffles are a few inches too short to have the dancer look to it. This version looks more like ice dancing.

Another Jacket that looks similar to the Shape Jacket. This has a hidden zipper design which is interesting. All of the Challenge Items are made out of new Silverescent Luon and so far everything that has come out has been black.
**Because of the Special new fabric blend Silverescent Luon, these items are quite pricey. The Challenge Jacket is priced at $168!! I think this may have something to do with “The Oprah Effect” though as the items from late summer with Silverescent Circle Mesh were not pricier. I dunno, is anti stink material that important? I don’t have issues with my regular luon and luxtreme stinking because they go straight into the wash after sweating in with very little low residue detergent. How do you guys feel about the pricing on this?

Notice there are two Challenge Tanks (not sure on the exact names of both) the first tank is called the Foundation Tank, one is a thin strap version and one is more like the Push Your Limits Tank. Both tanks pictured below.
