I finally tore the tags off my new In Stride Jacket Black Pique after wearing it around the house for the evening. It’s currently below freezing in Vancouver and snowing and I had to go for a walk to the store so I layered this under my Hustle Jacket and it was really comfortable and warm. I didn’t expect to be buying a new jacket today but I really love this one. I was feeling a bit of regret last week at not getting a Pique Stride but now I’m glad I got a hoodless version. The Cool Racerback she’s wearing under the In Stride is Beachy Green.

New Savasana Wrap and Concord Grape Cool Racerback Tank. I want to try this on tomorrow to see if the fit has been updated. They have gone back to using the little metal logos on this jacket which looks so much more elegant and subtle then the embroidered ones we saw in the fall. I didn’t write down the color code of this jacket but it’s just a bit lighter then my Heathered Mudd Gratitude Wrap and the Inside is beige. The Black Savasana Wrap is Black on the inside and out and both wraps are trimmed with velvet ribbon which looks really pretty in person.

Concord Grape Itak Cool Racerback Tank

On the Canadian side of the website, under ‘We Made Too Much’ there is an Aruba Flow Y mistakenly listed (full price). I went to check it out and noticed the pants in the picture are also new. I really like the band on these and wonder if they’re running tights or Wunder Unders. I’d be all over these if they’re running tights. It seems like Lulu is uploading things a little early in preparation for Upload Thursday. This afternoon we saw the No Limit Tank appear for a few minutes in all sizes and then disappear. I suspect we’ll be seeing these very same No Limit Tanks shortly appear on ebay at jacked up prices, but perhaps it was a mistaken upload that was quickly taken down and will reappear on Thursdays upload.

This picture puts the Effortless Tote in context so you get to see the size in comparison to a real person. It looks to me about as large as the Bon Voyage Duffel, perhaps slightly smaller. I love my Bon Voyage Duffel but it was rather large for daily use. Great for summer excursions though.

I like that the Define Jacket has just a few pops of pattern on it. If you like Itak in moderation this is a good choice. The Lively Tee is a bit too busy for me though.

I didn’t get to try the Savasana on today which I saw in this color as well as in Black but I wonder if perhaps they updated the fit of it and that’s why it’s getting released again. I would love the Savasana if only it fit me better around the hips. I would much rather see the Gratitude Wrap though and I hope the release of the Savasana doesn’t mean we wont be seeing the Gratitude Wrap.

The highlight of my store trip today was the In Stride Jacket Black Pique. I went in search of Ikat Print Cool Racerback but only saw the Flow Y Bra and the Lively Tee pictured below. I wasn’t really crazy about the print on the Lively tee as it’s a much smaller print then the Cool Racerback and more detailed so it seemed a bit too busy for me. I also saw some new pretty scubas in Heathered Beachy Green and Heathered Purple Crush. They both had plastic zippers the same color as the scuba so that was nice to see finally. Heathered Beachy Green is a very soft minty like green but closer to Aruba. Heathered Purple Crush was similar to Heathered Pig Pink or the Micro Stripe Casis Scuba, perhaps somewhere in between those two colors.

I saw the In Stride Jacket at the last minute and searched for the Black Pique in my size and purchased it thinking it would be a try on at home, just visiting type purchase. I have two Strides already and didn’t really feel the need for another luon jacket and didn’t feel much temptation based on the pictures. I have been wearing it for the past 30 minutes and just can’t bring myself to take it off. It’s surprising how much weight is taken away from this jacket with the elimination of the hood. My mom picked up one of my Strides a few weeks ago and made a remarked about how deceptively heavy it is. I thought she was nuts but now that I feel the lightness of the In Stride I realize she was right. The Pique is super stretchy and soft and cozy and works really well under my jackets without a hood getting in the way. Now I need to decide if I want to sell one of my other Strides (Lolo and Brushed Haze/Coal) which I love but are not my ‘go to’ jackets. If you missed out on a Pique Stride over Christmas I think you’ll be pretty happy about that once you see the Pique In Stride.

I don’t remember if we’ve seen a good facebook picture yet of the Black Poncho Stripe Hustle Jacket before this one. I really like this Black Poncho Stripe one. I saw a girl wearing the solid black Hustle Jacket the other day and really liked it on her but for myself I felt the black was too dark and and I can’t pull off the ninja look. This one is nice because you get the black neutral with added dimension of stripes so you can pair it with black luon pants.

Medium Rise luon pants, similar to Wunder Unders but more supportive. This purple looks like Concord Grape. Also available in grey and black.

Here is another good detail picture of the Itak Print Groove Pants. I think the purples in these are Heathered Purple Crush and Heathered Concord Grape.

Effortless Tote in Ikat and Concord Grape. Note the gold Lulu logo on the front. I’m undecided about whether I like that aspect of the bag at the moment. 

In Stride Flush/Coal Strata. 

The Strate stripe almost looks textured and like a relief print.

In Stride on the right also in Flush/Coal Strata. This is another chameleon color that appears different in different photographs. In product alerts it looks more like the pink in the picture below. Above, it looks like persimmon which I don’t think is accurate.
