Ali Larter is looking pretty damn good 8 weeks post partum in her Lululemon Define Jacket and her Stratus Wunder Under Crops. The Define Jacket is the most slimming jacket lululemon has made and hugs the curves perfectly. I find the monochromatic ones to be the most slimming and much prefer those to the ones with the contrast logo.

This is a really adorable luon jacket alternative to the Strides. I’m loving the sheer luon detailing on a lot of the tanks and crops lately so this will be pretty paired over the Pure Balance Tank or worn with the Wunder Unders. I’m almost certain the sheer luon portions are overlayed on regular luon just like the Special Edition Wunder Under Crops. I also really like the curved non zippered pockets and the ruching details along the front and back. I’d love this jacket in a Wren/Iris version to match the Wren/Iris Pure Balance Tank or even in Violaceous. I’m rarely tempted by jackets in black or Coal.
The new Vinyasa Jacket at the Lulu Lab! Inspired by the love of the Vinyasa scarves but sadly made out of Pima Cotton and not super soft running luon which is what made the Vinyasa scarf so popular besides the option of wearing it several ways. I think the Pima Cotton will be a nicer weight for spring though. None the less, this is a very cute wrap/jacket that reminds me of the Iconic Wrap but probably works a bit better as far as options for wearing it. I can tell Nancy from ‘Your Personal Lulu Shopper‘ will be very busy this weekend picking up orders for this one.
Vinyasa Jacket $88
When I first saw these images on facebook I wasn’t too intrigued because I figured this was just a similar jacket that someone had found. But I just clicked on the link and this jacket IS the Gratitude Wrap down to every single detail of the ribbed panels on the elbows, the darted panel on the back neck, the double cuffed sleeve that is very unique to the Gratitude Wrap. The inner liner is made from Tencil/Cotton/Cashmere (I like this addition, seems like the tencil would make it glide more over your under layer). The details are too identical for this not to be the same Gratitude Wrap. Even the price is the same at $128.
Theory #1 is that Lululemon liquidated their stock over to Neiman Marcus and just had the logo’s removed from the bottom hem and perhaps a few subtle changes were made and non identifiable lulu colors where sold.
Theory #2 is that this design was owned by the designer who has since moved on and Lulu cannot re-create this wrap. Clever designer!

Define Jacket Wren/Iris Wee Stripe
Well I ended up biting and getting the Live Healthy Wrap that I’ve been eyeing. I’m a wrap person so I’m really surprised I didn’t get a wrap in the Heathered Wish Blue or Heathered Plum which I loved for the colors. The front part of this wrap and the excess fabric drape is what really deters me. It’s just not a style I’m crazy about but I’m going to branch out a bit and see how it looks with jeans and other items in my wardrobe. I would have preferred this color in the Calm and Cozy as I’ve stated a few times now but judging by what the educators have told me it wasn’t sounding very promising. I was also tempted by the Modern Racer Tanks but passed on those.
What did you guys buy today? where you disappointed not to see Unicorn Tears Cool Racerback Tank?

Of course resistance is futile when you see a color you love. I ordered this one and will try it on. Perhaps I can add a button on the top to keep the wrap closed like in the lower right picture.

I found the sizing to be identical to my Dance Studio Pants but some have reported they found it 1/2 smaller then the pant version and not enough to size up.

Such a gorgeous print. I’m gravitating to ones with more black and softer colors on it but I know some of you really like the more colorful portions best. I like the way the black pattern sits just below her bust on the left side, it looks very slimming. I think that is how I will judge which distribution I like best.
I’ve decided I just have to try this tank out. It may not work for me but it’s just too darn gorgeous and secksi to pass on outright without giving it a fair shot. I can’t decide which one I like more, Violaceous or Wren/Iris.

A lovely person was kind enough to share pictures on Facebook of her new Downtime Jacket. The jacket is priced at $145 and is a ‘track’ jacket and not necessarily a running jacket. I think what makes it not a running jacket is the lack of reflective detailing but other then that I don’t see why you couldn’t use it for running in. This is a spring weight jacket with Gradient Mesh liner which makes this a cooler jacket then ones like Hustle Jacket, Inspire Jacket and Outward Bound which are lined with coolmax.

I’m actually getting pretty excited about tomorrows upload since I’m liking a lot of what we’ve seen so far in stores and product alerts. I need to narrow down my wish list though because it’s unreasonably large at the moment and a few items are going back to the store or passed on to friends that have called dibs. Keeping my Hot Class Tank in Violaceous for sure, Wren Dance Studio Crops and biding adieu to Calm and Cozy in Concord Grape and Dance Studio Pants in Wren.
I think what I like best of the current items is the color palette and how the colors work together. It’s a mix of neutrals, muted earthy tones, and bright jewel tones with heathering and wee stripes that coordinate well together which is not what lulu usually does. Lulu palettes like Oasis/Alarm/Citron or Flush/Sprinkler or Wish/Pig Pink/Citron are lovely palettes but not enough attention was paid to coordinating items so If you were a fan of say Wish, you stock up on wish items and not necessarily the other two colors. then your left wondering what you can wear with the color you chose other then Black/White/Grey. The palette just seems a lot fuller then usual. Has anyone else found this to be true?
Anyways, I can tell I’m going to be in trouble on tomorrows upload and I’m thinking I’ll be picking up a Cool Racerback tank in Unicorn Tears but I also think I may like future versions of Unicorn Tears Print better in the brown/pink tones. I also really like the Iris Wee Stripe Cool Racerback Tank, but is it exciting enough that if I pass on it I will regret it? I love the Pure Balance Tank in the color combination of Wren/Iris but would I really wear the tank? It’s a try on item first for sure before I commit. I love the In Stride but really don’t need it so I will feel momentarily swayed and then I will move on. The Live Healthy Wrap is my biggest temptation at the moment. I’d much rather see the Heathered Iris knit in a sweater but I do use wraps quite often. I think I just don’t love the shape of the Wrap but the love of the color may win me over in the end.
