Restore SS – Black TTS 10, Rugged Blue sized down to an 8
I am in LOVE with this new Restore SS tee. It reminds me of the old Batwing Tee from around 2010 which I missed out on and regretted, but I think this version is way nicer. It’s a kimono style tee shirt that is very long and sort of fitted over the hips, but blousy in the chest with a butterfly sleeve. I love that it’s made of Modal as I find it softer and cooler with a much nicer drape than regular Pima cotton. It’s actually a blend of 50% Modal and 50% Pima cotton. Both my size and my size down fit well but I left with my TTS. If my size was sold out I wouldn’t even hesitate getting the size down. This tee comes in black, rugged blue and white.
Sun Runner Crop TTS 10
These Sun Runner Crops are made of the same lovely printed Full On Luxtreme as the Pop Cut Pace Rivals and the new Speed Wunder Tights. It’s backed in white but something abut the way the material is treated makes it matter finish with very good opacity. When stretched, the print does fade to white but the white backing is opaque. I find this material cooler than the old Full On Luxtreme and much nicer. I definitely intend on buying a pair of printed bottoms in the future in Full On Lux.
The print on these are something else though. I don’t think I’ve ever tried on a print that felt more ‘out there’ than these. The boom juice tie dye just doesn’t appeal to me on bottoms, especially when backed in white. It just read ‘lady accident!!!’ everytime I glanced at the print in the mirror. Fit was a snug TTS.
Hero Blue Pace Rival Crops TTS 10
OMG. Hero Blue Pace Rivals. These were so, so nice. I found them slimming and flattering and I loved that they are all solid hero blue. They were opaque and comfortable and if I hadn’t just gotten the Tofino Teal Pace Rival Crops I would have gotten these.
Sunshine Salutation Tank TTS 10
I’m really liking that Lululemon is putting out so many singlets in this ‘sweat wicking fabric’. These have become my ‘go to’ over Cool Racerbacks. I know a lot of you are tired of all the excess mesh and will hate that this one is backed entirely in mesh but I find it very cool for sweety workouts. I don’t want ALL of my singlets to be sexy meshed panelled but I do appreciate having one or two. That being said, I prefer my Fast Lane Singlet to this one even though I had to size up in the Fast Lane. I don’t love the print of this one and it wasn’t special enough to feel tempted by it.
I know a lot of you really wanted a solid hero blue Cool Racerback after they where disappointed in the Exhale Cool Racerback in this color. I personally really liked the Exhale and found the front seams really slimming but for those of you that felt you missed out on Hero Blue, here it is in a regular version. This one wasn’t thick but it also wasn’t thin and sheer.
Take Ten Hoodie TTS 10
This hoodie is so ridiculously soft on the inside. The inner material is a really nice loose knit. I’m confused about the fabric description online though and I wish I’d taken a look at the rip tag. Online it says it’s ‘Super Naturals Performance Fabric’ so I assume it’s a cotton/modal blended with polyester to make it sweat wicking. I grabbed the red because I think that was the popular choice with the last upload but I was actually gravitating to the Battleship Grey one on the rack. This was a loose, relaxed fitting TTS.
Do any of you read Lainey Gossip or watch The Social? Elaine Lui is at the Much Music Video Awards wearing her Lululemon Perf-Ect Paddle Suite as a top. I love her outfit and love how she styled this suite with the Tom Ford pants. And her hair as always is insanely gorgeous!
A local youtuber I follow who loves Nordstrom as much as I do posted some of the new Kate Spade Beyond Yoga pieces. I’d been eyeing the Kate Spade pieces on the Kate Spade and Nordstrom websites and really wanted to check it out but I had no idea Nordstrom Vancouver was carrying the line so as soon as I saw that it was there I had to race down and check it out as well as all the other goodies I rarely get to see. I’ll be doing another Nordstrom blog post when the Yearly Sale comes around next month so stay tuned for that if you like Nordstrom posts.
Alo High Rise Leggings size L, Alo Lotus Bra Tank size L
I fell in love with these ‘glossy black’ high rise leggings. They have this weird semi matte semi glossy texture that looks like rich napa leather, and they are very compressive and smoothing at the same time. Of all of the items I tried on today I almost came home with these, and still may go back at some point. I really wanted the crop version but they only had a large in the pant version. Honestly, these would be more ‘dressy’ leggings to wear with an oversized sweater and nice boots vs. workout leggings but I’m sure they would perform well as workout pants too. They are TTS and compressive but very comfortable and breathable.
The Alo Lotus Bra was very pretty in this color but if you have a long torso this tank is short. It is very fitted around the middle as well for such a sheer luxtreme like material so I didn’t love this on me. It’s a snug TTS and goes is sized small, medium and large.

I really liked this Ella Tank which is mesh panelled and loose fitting and TTS. For such a loose fitting tank I still found it feminine and not too long in the arm holes. Unfortunately I didn’t love the price of this tank at $82 CAD. Had it been around the $50 mark I would have gotten it.
Alo Moto Leggings size L
I’ve tried these pants on before in black and loved them but wanted to try them on again in the grey to see if they were smoothing or showed lumps and bumps. I was impressed that the pants where very smoothing and didn’t show any imperfections but my problem with these is still the moto detailing doesn’t work with my proportions. They seem to emphasize my long thighs and short calves. These pants need adjusting to have the panels lay in the correct place and equally on both sides. I need a petite version of these pants for my short proportioned legs.
Kate Spade New York & Beyond Yoga Triple Bow Camisole size L
This Kate Spade tank was so adorable. I was very tempted by it but it was $110 which is just insane. The material is very soft stretchy luxtreme like but it’s much stretchier and softer. Because of it’s strechyness you larger busted ladies will probably not get much support in the built in bra. As you can see in the straps, they are digging in quite a bit. This is probably more so because my traps have gotten really bulky with Olympic lifting but still, I can see this being a problem with larger busted ladies requiring more bra support.

I wanted to try these on so bad but they didn’t come in a large. I suspect they would have been sheer though.
Kate Spade New York & Beyond Yoga Framed Capri size L
These crops where incredibly soft. They felt so much like soft cotton flannel that I just had to look up the material composition online to make sure they weren’t actually cotton. They are supplex (aka luon) nylon lycra and spandex and felt like really thick RULU, but somehow in such a light material they weren’t showing much dimpling. The downfall of these crops was that they are very low rise, and also felt a bit wider in the waist so these would constantly roll down on me.
You can see how low rise they are here and that they are creeping down on me.
Ted Baker London Monrose Capris size L
The Ted Baker London line was intriguing. The line is made in Portugal and it’s really substantial polyester material woven with silver. I like that the crops are black panelled in the back and a fun print in the front. I really liked the print a lot but didn’t find it all that flattering in bottoms on me, although I think they put thought into the layout of the pattern. I really, really hated the waist construction and especially the waistband. It just seemed really old fashioned and unflattering.
Ted Baker London Monrose Racerback size L
This tank was really pretty on and I’d be tempted except I think the substantial polyester material also makes it really hot. I think I’d wear this in the winter for Crossfit but definitely not in the summer. Also, it was $125 CAD which is just outrageous to me for a tank top.
Beyond Yoga Sunday Tank size L
I felt so uncomfortable with the neckline of this tank. Looking at photos it’s actually quite a flattering tank top but I felt very exposed in it. The material was really soft though and the fit was nice without making me feel strangled or squeezed. Way too sexy for me for the gym though.
Lorna Jane City Life LS size M
This top was really cute and soft but it didn’t come in an L for me to try on. I really loved the neckline and the mesh and the fact that the length is butt covering. I may have purchased this one if it came in a large and also if it came in black or white. I looked online for it and can’t find it or any other Lorna Jane item on the Nordstrom website. I really hope Nordstrom will still carry Lorna Jane because I just love their bras. Ever since buying my Lorna Jane bras last year I have been wearing them exclusively. Maybe I will resort to eBay for my Lorna Jane Bra shopping since LJ has upped shipping costs to Canada to some insane amount of money.
This has been my earliest Fedex delivery yet! Pre school drop off and gym!! I even tore off the tags on my fast lane singlet and will be wearing it to this mornings workout.
If you are a Scuba III lover, then this color is a must. It’s very, very soft and stretchy. I find it TTS to my other Scubas III’s (Bark Berry, Forest Green and Sapphire). I am in love with this color.

I size up to a 12 in the Fast Lane Singlet which surprises me because I’m TTS in the Tranquil Tank which seems narrower fitting and the material is thinner – yet somehow it’s more flowy and A-line. I tried this on in my usual size in the Tofino Teal but really didn’t like how fitted it was so this one is definitely a size up in my opinion. Another thing to note is that this print is called Pop Cut Boom Juice but it’s a little different from all the other items in this pattern. The other items feature predominantly Boom Juice vs. this one which is predominantly pinks and fuchsias. I like this version a lot more than the Boom Juice version.
Well, I am excited about that Heathered Bali Breeze Scuba Hoodie III. A few ladies had purchased this Scuba a few weeks ago when it uploaded for Australia and reports are that it is a softie. I love Bali Breeze/Menthol so this one I needed. Heathered Gris is lovely too but Bali is my color. I also liked the Fast Lane Singlet in Pop Cut Boom Juice. As I mentioned in the comments in an earlier post, I saw this singlet in store yesterday and gravitated to it but I ended up leaving it behind without trying it on and have been thinking about it since. I hesitated because I’m worried this is a print that will get dated very quickly. On one hand it’s a little bit Anne Taylor Loft, and on the other it’s a fun print that attracted me. I at least want try it on and inspect it in person before ruling it out. I like the Pace Rivals in this print as well as the Nami Wave but I need to keep reminding myself that I don’t wear printed bottoms.
