Universal Wrap Dewberry

Lulu has released a ton of these Rayon/Bamboo/Cashmere blended wraps over the past two years and I’m surprised the changes on them are so subtle (really its just slight alterations on fit and some design changes to the back). I got the Mudra wrap a few months ago and really like it  but I don’t feel the need to have more then one wrap in this style so I will be definitely passing. I think the addition of snap buttons like the Savasana wrap would be nice or a nice sash/belt made of the same knit fabric. The durability of these fabrics is a bit hit or miss for me, my Mudra Wrap has faired well, my Wish Blue Chai Time Pullover has done ok although a bit fuzzy and my grey Chai Time has gotten very pilly, very fuzzy to the point that it’s hard to keep it looking groomed. 

 Scuba Hoodie Dewberry Wee Stripe

This is the prettiest Scuba I’ve seen in a long time. This one up close looks like the inner stripe is Wren which is a lovely combination against Dewberry. I will not be getting a scuba hoodie this fall/winter sadly because I really don’t like the price increase in them but if you get this one you will probably have me running up to you to pet your scuba.

 Method Wrap

I stopped in at lulu today to check out the newest items and once again almost came home with some goodies but decided to stay strong until Upload Thursday since the last two have had some great surprise items and I’d like to order online just in case. 

The method wrap was really nice but there were a few things I didn’t like about it. First of all I tried on size 8 which is my Savasana Wrap size (my Gratitude Wrap size is 6) and I felt like I needed this in a 10.  it was really cute but to do it up takes some work as you need to line up an upper snap button on the inside first and then find the bottom ends of the zipper and do that up (tricky only because it’s angled) and then you need to arrange the neck snaps. Leaving it open doesn’t look great in my opinion so you sort of have to commit to wearing it done up all day long or be happy with it hanging open. 

The Acro Crops were really cool. Sorry, no pictures since I grabbed the wrong size and then was too exhausted after policing the dueling children to go out and get another size. They have the rolled cuff just like the Cali Roll Crops from last year at the lab and it has a really, really pretty silicone feather print on the lower calf. I’m really sad that the feather print CRB tank isn’t like this, embossed silicone overlayed over a non poly tank. I’d pay a few dollars more for that one. 

The Turbo Tank was not bad. I really liked how loose fitting it is around the middle without being matronly or maternityish. It’s just a bit wider of an a-line and thats exactly what I like in a tank. 

I knew from reports to not bother trying this Heathered Pigeon Pearl Luxtreme Cool Racerback  in anything smaller then a 10 so thats what I grabbed. I really, really loved this one but decided to wait for upload in hopes that there are more neutral pearl luxtremes uploaded in darker colors which would be more forgiving. If not then I will grab this one since I did really love the color and the feel of this tank. I also should have tried it on with luon pants and not jeans that show off my muffin top because I think I would have been happier trying it on with something I will be wearing this tank with. 

Ooooh I likey very much! Lulu is releasing some gorgeous tanks these last couple of days, no? This is the Feather Print Cool Racerback Tank I mentioned in yesterdays post.  Sadly it has a slight sheen to it which means it’s probably polyester but I’m holding out hope that it isn’t. Luckily there is also supposed to be a Modern Racer Tank in this print as well according to an educator so I wont feel to badly if I have to pass on this one. I’m intrigued by the Heathered Pigeon Pearl Luxtreme as well since it’s supposed to be pearlized and have a slight shimmer.

 Run: Weightless SInglet

This one is probably top on my list as far as practicality for running goes. It’s pretty and so perfect with the flowy design, strip of reflectivity and weightless fabric. 

Dignity Halter

I missed out on the Hip Halter Tank last year for some lame reason. I think it was only because I couldn’t pick a color I liked (Pig Pink vs Wish) so I missed out altogheter. The back strap around the neck was a bit snug so this is a really nice solution for those of you that get neck pain with designs like that. Plus, it’s a pretty detail. 

I was told today by a store educator that we will be seeing Cool Racerback Tanks and Modern Racers with this Feather Print very soon. I really love the feather print much more then the Ghost printed CRB that was out last week so I’ll probably get at least the Modern Racer, the CRB too if it’s not a poly blended one. The Feather Print and Bird motif is very hot this fall with several other brands participating in all things avian.

This itty-bitty little photo (another photo added)  of the newest “Pearl” luxtreme CRB tank called ‘heathered pigeon’ was just posted on facebook. I’m intrigued by the fit of this tank because it seems a bit different from the luon version but I think it’s just because the model has it pulled way down to expose her bra underneath.

 Someone kindly posted this picture of the newest Run: Weightless Single  on the This Just In Group on Facebook and she points out the puckering at the top of the bust. She stayed TTS with her CRB size which she wears on the looser size. I think you could safely size down in this tank for a smoother look over the bust since the lower portion of this tank is so loose fitting.

The Weightless Tank is made out of a new material called Ultra Light Swift. Despite the puckering at the bust this is on my wish list. It seems so ideal for running and I’d really love to try it out. 

 See how loose it is in the torso? You could probably safely size down for a snugger look in the chest. 

And…Bullerias Tank is back in Royalty!!

I’m really loving this new Run: Weightless Singlet. The laser cut eyelet lace luxtreme is just too adorable and the reflective detailing is such a useful detail on a run tank, particularly as the days start to get shorter. I wish this had come out earlier on in the season but I can see myself getting this in a color other then black once my store gets it. I tend to shy away from luxtreme tops because of the tummy cling factor but this looks like it’s loose fitting around the torso.

Run Take Flight Pullover
This is a really pretty pullover if your on the market for something thin and not too warm for your top layer. I personally prefer running luon pullovers to luxtreme or this new Silverescent version but this is quite a pretty and unique pullover. I’ll be sure to check the price on this for you tomorrow morning, I saw it in person today but I was rushed and couldn’t try this on. I’m a bit thrown on how much this one will be since it doesn’t seem to have a pocket or reflective detailing on it..perhaps $89??

Cool Racerback Tank ‘GSN’ Ghost Snowy Owl Dip Dye 94% Polyester blend
I did check this CRB out today and am not impressed with the once again high polyester blend. I know I’ve blogged about my dislike for the polyester CRB’s ad nausium but they just look like cheap polyester from afar and they feel really yucky. As much as I may love a print, I will not be purchasing it if it’s printed on polyester. Boo, because I suspect we will see the lovely feather print that is on the newest swiftly tech items (above) on CRB’s which means they will very likely be poly’s. Perhaps we will be lucky and see the print on Modern Racer Tanks as well. The addition of Vitasea on those is amazing so I will glady buy as many Modern Racer Tanks as they come up with.

Oooh this one is so pretty. I just about purchased this earlier today but I was in a rush and waffling about my decision between this one and the Dewberry Run Take Flight V-Neck Tee. I couldn’t decide which one I could live without and I was in a hurry and since I’ll be back tomorrow to hang out with my friend I’ll have to decide then. I’m sort of leaning towards this one.

Lively Crewneck Tee Heathered Dewberry Vitasea
Something about the heathered color + the Vitasea makes this tee feel really lux with an almost silky sheen to it. I want to look at the fabric content of this one tomorrow to see what the difference is but I’ve not seen a Lulu tee quite like this one. I do not need another tee so I’m restraining myself but this is sooo pretty.

Scoop Neck Tank Royal/Royal Space Dye
Probably the prettiest two Scoop Neck Tanks I’ve seen in a while. I like both the Royal and the Magnum  (does ‘Magnum’ make anyone else think of ice cream popsicles covered in chocolate?)

Still Short Heathered Black
I got some basic black Still Shorts last week for my family vacation since we were planning on doing a lot of bike riding and I’m so glad I got them. They were totally perfect for an easy beach vacation tootling around town on our bikes. I wore them with all of my 7000 Modern Racer Tanks and I only wish I’d been able to get them in Heathered Black instead (as well as) my black ones.

I almost got this today but I was in a waffling mood (read above) and so I put it back. I really, really liked it but my hesitation was that I get tan lines during the summer when I run and I really don’t want a farmer tan. This may be perfect for evening runs, or fall runs but I wasn’t quite sure. Everything else about this top was perfect. I was planning on getting this in a 10 instead of an 8 since I’m feeling a bit self conscious about my midsection since I’ve greatly reduced my running after my half marathon. I’d say this is TTS (same fit as all the other SS swiftly’s and V-Neck Swiftly’s)

Cardio Kick Crop
I like the zipper at the back of the calf with the mesh underneath but I think I would find that uncomfortable. Especially when laying on a mat.

There are some things I really like about these pants, (the waffle seam print at the sides, the cinch cord up wards) but I’m not feeling all that tempted by these personally.

Run Take Flight Pullover Tech Surge and Dark Classic Sports Grey

 This is an interesting pullover. At first I wondered if it was luxtreme or running luon but now I see that it’s a swiftly tech silverescent material (you can tell in the sleeve detail and at close ups of the neck detailing). And that it has a feather print on it. Mmmmm…not sure I love the pullover but the V-Neck swiftly pictured below I’m feeling very attracted too.

I’m almost 100% certain this is a swiftly tech with an added print on it. This one will be a must buy for me and in fact I think I’ll be rushing out to the store shortly to check for it. I haven’t had that urge over something in a long time but I’m definitely liking this one  a lot.

I don’t have much love for the bliss tanks this year even though I really liked it last year. 

Strength and Tone Shorts

These are not in a million years shorts for me but I do really like them, especially in this color. 

I’m not totally sure what colorway this bag is (it’s Rocksteady Royalty Horizon Print!) but I believe the lower portion is Royal. I’d love to know what the top half of the Horizon Print is. It sort of looks like Still Water Blue which we’ve seen only briefly this past year in the Groovy Run Shorts. I’d love to see more items in the soft periwinkle blue. In the meantime I’m lusting after this bag even though I. Do. Not. Need. It! To justify this one I’d have to sell my Ivy Bon Voyage Duffel Bag and I don’t think I want to do that.
